Hello, I've found several sources suggesting that the 737's flight spoilers (without Short Field Package) can move to a maximum of 33/38 degrees, and the ground spoilers to 52/60 degrees. However, my question, since I've been unable to find an answer, is what determines at which deflection the spoilers actually will deploy at? I'm wondering since there's not a hard and fixed value, but instead, a span between 33 to 38 degrees, and 52 and 60 degrees. Thanks.

Been following a thread about this on Steam discussions. Air Manager 3.4.Air Manager has a iphone version, but now they are testing out a Android version. This looks really nice even giving you touch control over the switches, fuel selector, etc. from your tablet. Here's the thread on steam talking about possible coming FSW support - http://steamcommunity.com/app/389280/discussions/0/1696040635907708215/ and here's there announcement of android version coming with video - https://siminnovations.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=927

I've become addicted to adding airplanes to my simulator and I can't stop. I have startup situation for each one and a startup icon for each on the desktop(s). I'm on my second desktop now. Thank you fences for making that easy. I have to modify the panel in each so the same keys and/or Saitek switches and buttons operate the same panel pop-ups on each aircraft. I wish they would standardize those controls. I'm up to 154 planes now in 6 categories; General Aviation - Commercial Aviation - Military Aviation - Bush Planes - Roswell Museum Propliners and Early Jets - Roswell Museum Warbirds. I'm spending way too much time on this but I can't stop. So many air…

I’m looking for suggestions for any 777 and 737 routes to fly within the US. I’m looking for real-world current routes, preferably anything under 4 hours. I know that there aren’t many 777 routes that are that short, but does anyone know of any American, Delta, United, or any other American operator that flies [relatively] short-haul fights? All suggestions are appreciated.

Just out of curiosity i checked my flight sim purchases for the last 400 days on PayPal I have other purchases from orbx on my cc but i'm not including them in this quick experiment. I've bought €1500/$1800 worth of addons I know everyone's situation is different but whats the general consensus, I Probably get to spend 10hrs a week in the sim it roughly equates to $4.50 a day and i know there are far more expensive habits. Am I roughly inline with the rest of the community? Or have i a "new release" addiction So Is this a typical or excessive amount?

Hi, A short question: is it possible for a, e.g. 737, to perform a CAT IIIB approach using the HGS/HUD together with the autopilot, with only fail passive (in other words, without fail operational and no autopilot rudder actuator)? Thanks

Can anyone tell me why there is not an auto-matic throttle in the Milviz F-15E Strike Eagle? In order to refuel using the pro tanker mode, i need the use of an auto-matic throttle to do it. i would like to try it the way real air force pilots do it. is the an auto-pilot that you can control using a smartphone, with the appropriate app of course.

If you’re looking to get the most of our Tundra Tire and Amphibious Float additions to the PA-18 Super Cub then you need to check out The Last Frontier, a series of seven missions that will take you across the diverse and harsh Alaskan plains. You’ll be tasked with handling a variety of situations, including flying out of a busy non-controlled airport, dropping off fishing supplies at a remote lake, dealing with an emergency situation, and landing in a convey. Hi, Recently when I flew the 737, I got assigned a speed restriction, in mach, in this case, mach 0.76. So, I entered it into the CDU, on the CRZ page's Target Speed, for reference. Now, normally when I do this, especially for higher mach numbers, there's nothing special, and the Target Speed displays exactly what I entered. However, in this particular case, when I entered, mach 0.76, the Target speed in the CDU showed "235/FLAPS". Also, it might be worth noting that later on, after about 10 minutes, the CDU displayed exactly what I'd put in, which was mach 0.76, so why didn't it do that straight away? So, my question is, what is the local behind this, and wh…

Hey there! Another quick question I had was for flying G.A. at lower levels. With the default ATC, is there anyway / tricks to request deviation for storms? I once flew through a thunderstorm....never again I know there isn't an option in the menu I have seen, but I didn't know if there were any tricks to going off course or otherwise.

  22. Hey all! I'm curious to pick the vast knowledge here on Avsim. Mostly I fly G.A. generally A2A airplanes, as they are extremely realistic which I love. Lately I have been getting the itch to fly quicker on vatsim, and higher faster etc. I currently have the A2A connie, This is a perfect airplane (I am an old school steam gauge person) but it isn't that well suited for short hops...Or is it? I purchased recently the extreme prototypes Learjet 25. It is a great plane, but the VC night lighting only has 1 setting, and it is almost too powerful for me at a standard 3-4K FPM climb rates, and almost an instant 300KTS after takeoff I am looking to play a…

  24. I purchased the Legendary c-130 Base Pack for FS2004 in 2010 and have had many hours of enjoyment with it. It has been a while since I flew her so tonight I fired it up...amazed I still remembered switch positions and electrical power setup. One thing became glaringly apparent. At some point I must have reinstalled or repaired my installation because the irritating "Traffic, Traffic, Traffic" warning began as soon as I turned on the taxi lights. I remembered there was a fix listed in the CS Knowledge Base, but sadly they have completely divorced themselves from FS2004 and almost all of the old KBs are gone. So I came here, only to find I was a month late in decid…
