https://www.rte.ie/news/regional/2019/1006/1081489-reports-of-two-casualties-as-light-aircraft-crashes-in-co-wexford/ Happened on Sunday evening. 2 dead. They're saying wreckage is spread over a wide, which would indicate a mid air explosion.

He was a very active member here years ago, I used to argue a lot with him when I was fixated with XP and flight models, nowadays my point of view has changed a lot and I think I would agree with him on most sim related issues. Came to my mind because of the upcoming MFS, I think he would have loved it, and maybe he would have also loved VR. But it seems no news of him for years?

interesting news on FSelite on Milviz going to use Orbx Central to distribute its products (announced by John Venema at Cosford) . Do we see the first effect of FS20 ? It makes sense : to be ready to offer an plateform à la Steam as an alternative to the MS shop and to share the cost of distribution infrastructure between two big players ahead for rough times. PS To the mods . Oops, I thought I was posting on the Hangar forum, sorry. Move it there if you feel it appropriate .

On 3/8/19 I purchased the Ford Trimotor from CR-1 Software. The payment processed normally (4 days ago). However I have not received a confirmation/registration/download email. Has CR-1 Software gone out of business and their old website is running on auto-pilot? There seems to be no activity on the website since 2012.

Downloaded via F1 purchase agent 670mb file. Looks like the QWings and Boeing themes are the only liveries available. Don't forget to back up your 787-8/9 liveries - the installer deletes them.

Looks like a new route on the way, maybe of special interest to our euro members: Rhein-Ruhr Osten: Hagen - Wuppertal - coming 10th October! Take your first look at the new Train Sim World 2020 route in our fresh trailer. Train Sim World: Rhein-Ruhr Osten will bring to life the S8 Line between Hagen Hbf and Wuppertal Steinbeck, which weaves its way through city outskirts and rural landscapes serving 14 intermediate stations en-route. In addition, the main line between Hagen and Wuppertal is also included for freight traffic between Hagen and Wuppertal yards, as well as the container yard at Wuppertal-Langerfeld. The S-Bahn branches off just south of Hagen and co…

First off, let me start by justifying that I am posting this here because if I did so at the FLIGHT SIMULATOR ( FS 2020 ) or X-Plane forums I would be talking about "the other platform"... so here it's "neutral" terrain 🙂 It's been almost 3 days now since I was able to stare at those amazing videos of pre-alpha FLIGHT SIMULATOR. Also had the chance to listen and read what can already be said about some of the features that are coming with FS 2020, some that aren't probably going to make it's way in time for the initial release, and some which are apparently postponed for future development. Of course I was very enthusiastic about the announcement of this re-birt…

I've recently needed Customer Service from JustFlight, and I have to say their response and assistance has been fantastic. They have listened to my issues and responded in a very positive way. I feel to often that good Customer Service happens with little feedback, so I wanted to take a few minutes to recongnise great Customer Service from company software company/retailer/developer. Well done JustFlight.

Hi Guys, I was using the default ATC at an Orbx airport the other day and the ATC was very busy. It raised an issue. I was told to line up and wait which I did....And then just sat there awaiting clearance to take off. That eventually came. This is my issue...Again ATC was extremely busy so it took a while to acknowledge my take off clearance.. So, Do I take off and acknwledge when I can get in or do I sit and wait until I can acknowledge and then carry out the instruction thus taking up valuable runway time? Dave

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_CST-100_Starliner " astronauts initially selected for the first two missions, from left to right: Sunita Williams, Josh Cassada, Eric Boe, Nicole Mann, and Christopher Ferguson. " I guess you have to be fit, but not necessarily lightweight (Eric Boe). "The CST-100 includes one space tourist seat, and the Boeing contract with NASA allows Boeing to price and sell passage to low Earth orbit on that seat." Almost anybody with enough cash can can but a ticket I guess...

My husband and I have been using Aerosoft products for some time now. They've always worked well and we never had any problems until recently. I purchased a cheap plane (Piper 180) last night, thinking that it was for Xplane. However, after downloading it, I saw that with an exe extension, it was in fact for windows. Aerosoft refuses to refund, stating that it was disclaimed on their purchase page. I'm sure that I read everything and, when I downloaded it, there was nothing indicating that. I believed it was for xplane because I linked to it from an off-site link to xplane downloads. The shocker was the customer service. They started by refusing the refun…

I hope this proves fruitful. The 'Sardine Can Era' needs to go (over packing people on planes)... Frontier and Spirit should be on notice. https://www.foxbusiness.com/industrials/faa-testing-airplane-seats-close-evacuation

https://news.sky.com/story/thomas-cook-seeks-last-ditch-fire-sale-in-bid-to-avert-collapse-11814043 Whist the primaddonas at BA complain about one of the best contracts in the world, I wonder if the nigels will spare a thought for the 9000 staff at TCX about to get axed. Looks like their well in the poo poo this time. No matter how you look at it the low end travel agent /tour operator market in the UK is dead The German and scandi market was always propping them up for the last 15 years The days of Tony and Gordon paying out loads of bennies to the poor for them to spend on cheap holidays to marmaris is over. You got easyjet and Ry…

Hi, My memory is having a wrong route and i keep forgetting when i should pay attention to TransAltitude and TransitionLevel. Sometimes both are available on charts and sometimes only one of them is displayed. Normally ATC will give you a METAR and a TL but not a TA . So please help switch to local air pressure and vice versa during approach and takeoff ? :-) I am aware of ATC giving a bigger altitude or TL than your actually position granded you to set TL OR TA right away. Thanks Michael Moe

Hello! i have a Redbird SD it has been a little “messy” recently The GPS is not responding but all other instruments are working (when the plane is in motion, there is no motion on the GPS) the main screen, after loading the flight, becomes black... all the other screens are working. If anybody has experience fixing REDBIRDS help will be very appreciated! fly safe!

Hi guys, Even though this article is about Thomas Cook demise, but there is this pic with plane with 2 engines. I can not recall that 747 is that big. What plane is it? I can't tell. The people look so tiny compared to those massive engines. Is that the Airbus 380? https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/24/business/thomas-cook-airlines-bankruptcy.html Thanks

I couldn't resist, but I grew up around LEGO and the Saturn V, therefore put the two together I am an easy sell. Also the fact they put 1969 pcs into it is typical LEGO thinking of everything 😎
