I have purchased maybe 50 items from PC aviator over the last 15 years or more. I have NEVER had any problems till now. I purchased the CH-47D From them weeks ago. Something was wrong with the files and it does not work. I have tried calling " which has not always been to easy". Sometimes a recording and the last week.... NOTHING??? I have emailed them several times. I preferred to have a fix, but now for ethical purposes I have been requesting a refund with NO RESPONSE. Maybe something "NOT GOOD" has happened that they are dealing with. I suggested in one email if ANYONE is there PLEASE leave something on the answer machine or anything so we have an idea...NOTHING??? …

Good evening, I was told that You Tube has instructional videos pertaining to programming/operating the flight management computer on the Boeing 737. Can someone recommend me specific videos to watch or at least point me to a forum that addresses these issues? Thank you all so much. Bruce H. Solov Boynton Beach, FL

We've already had a week of 100 + degree weather. Looks like at least another 10 days of it. We've 3 or 4 day hot spells like this before, but nothing like this. I wish this global warming hoax would go away. https://www.wunderground.com/forecast/us/nm/roswell Noel

...the skies cleared up last night, and I got a glimpse of the NEOWISE comet - so out came the camera... I took the pictures at half past midnight looking almost straight due north. According to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C/2020_F3_(NEOWISE) it will be back in about 6,800 years. Just in case you miss it this time 🙂 Cheers Mallard

This is a link to a 24 part series on the Frankfurt Airport. Although it is entirely in German, the CC in English is enough to help keep things interesting while one polishes up their German... 😜

Hi All I currently use P3D and Active Sky + Little Nav Map for flying and planning/weather I find the map on active sky difficult to read for conditions on route - is there anything out there that almost decodes everything and gives you an easy to read flight report? Thanks Matt

It's almost midnight here in Roswell and I thought I'd have a look at WindyT before going to bed. There's not a bit of cloud cover in the corridor between San Francisco and Washington DC. You can fly coast to coast between the two cities tonight and not fly over any clouds. The weather in the US lately has been pretty benign. We've only seen a couple of small thundershowers over the past two weeks but it did get up to 105* this afternoon. Noel

Hi there. I am trying to find an Avro Avian. Ideally I'd like the 581E that Bert Hinkler flew in 1928 from London to Australia, but am happy for any variant. for P3D or FSX. I did find an FS2004 version by David Molyneaux but was wondering if there is a payware version that anyone is aware of. Thanks Darren

In the interests of keeping my eye out for any new space games, I conduct occasional searches, and interestingly enough, just came across this: **Flight Of Nova**, apparently a "hard science" spacecraft simulation due to arrive in early 2021. Looks interesting!!! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1069190/Flight_Of_Nova/ Features promised are: * Realistic gravitation and orbital physics * Atmospheric density based on earth data * Aerodynamic drag corresponding to vessel shape * Drag / air friction energy calculations * Real-time accurate orbital data * Orbital stations and docking system * Planet surface outposts * Real-time control over …

This morning I posted a tongue in cheek piece of sarcasm suggesting that Norton virus protection would also protect us from the coronavirus. It only lasted two replies. Have we lost our collective sense of humor? Is even joke about Covid 19 off limits now? Aren't we allowed to laugh anymore? Even at ourselves? Noel

I just installed Norton anti-virus and it said I'm now protected from everything. I assume that means Covid 1 through 19 and malaria in case I every find myself in the tropics. It feels so nice to be so secure when I go out in public now sans mask because I know Norton has my back. I just wish Norton would send me a button to pin on my shirt or jacket that says, 'NORTON PROTECTED' so people would quit telling me to put on a mask. Noel

I was wondering if anyone has by change a sample from a real aircraft technical logbook(TLB), I have some photos of the Ba's one, which I found on the internet, but they aren't enough. I'm trying to upgrade my simulation level by using and feeding the same aircraft's manuals and logs as a pilot would do. Best regards, Gabriel

Such is the random internet surfing which has become part of my day currently I found this whilst meandering around for RAF Jaguar information: Masirah's airport is at the north of the island, yet there appears to be the remains of an airstrip further south. https://www.google.com/maps/place/20%C2%B029'26.8%22N+58%C2%B047'35.0%22E/@20.5512315,58.7466375,16333m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m9!1m2!2m1!1summ+rasas+masirah+island!3m5!1s0x0:0x0!7e2!8m2!3d20.4907757!4d58.7930514?hl=en Was this the original strip from back in the 30s when the RAF got there I wonder? Could this article refer to it? http://ukmamsoba.org/raf on masirah.htm My google-fu has failed me other…

So yeah...... I read about this image, that was so gigantic, it was crashing peoples computers just trying to open it....... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!! 😱 I was actually disappointed that the full-sized image opened easily with no apparent problems, but I was interested to see if other people had different results....... Something silly to try on a lazy covid Monday. https://hubblesite.org/image/4492/news About this image Hubble's Wide View of the Evolving Universe This Hubble Space Telescope image represents the largest, most comprehensive "history book" of galaxies in the universe. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-boeing-747/end-of-the-runway-for-747-jumbo-as-boeing-placed-final-part-orders-idUSKBN2442O8 The Roswell Airport (KROW) is a boneyard for cycled out airliners. We have a word not allowed load of B747s out there waiting to be junked. Soon they will be gone from the skies. But in some places in the world the venerable DC-3 is still a workhorse from Alaska to Antarctica. Noel

This might be an old video, but youtube's algorithm threw it at me . No gore, just plenty of cringe and sharp intake of breath.. This is why we can't have nice things.. Luckily the guy trying to stop the plane only received injuries rather than death, and the Cirrus damaged a hangar not another aircraft (or the Porsche!). Scary when he runs in front of the prop.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KpOg9Ci284 I was going to post it in the Aviation video section, but YT won't let me embed the video, hence the link..
