Hangar Chat
This forum is for the discussion of things you might discuss when going into an airport hangar. Please make sure that your topic isn't covered in another forum before posting here. Yep, that's the whole post, a dog on a raft... 🙂 It was so hot here yesterday that I looked out back and the dog had climbed on the raft and was just floating around the pool. We couldn't stop laughing and she couldn't figure out why... The feels like was 111F and she happily helped herself to the pool... BTW, we have a doggie door and she has free access in and out plus shade plus cool water outside so no concerns about her being in the yard in those temps. The biggest concern is she likes the sun too much and I have to drag her back in! Hope the pics load! Who me?? Living my best life...

No need to send them home at the end of their daily shift. Prevent congestion on streets at rush hour. Lengthen work hours per day. Just install these booths ! After the alarm wakes them back up, set them busy again. The sleep areas take but little office space. They look like little water heaters. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/offices-install-nap-boxes-workers-27511941

I am just wondering if there is any truth to the rumor that Threshold is about to releasesome news regarding the start of the Vietnam war? Whilst there is some jest in this statement, I really wonder what is going on there. 14July was their last news statement so I am thinking they have some problems. Given that they are a major source of XPlane news and downloads and as such a significant influence for XPlane, not issuing any news for in excess of a week is troubling. Has anyone got any idea of what is going on? I hope all is well. Regards Tony

Not sure into which subforum this message goes. All my life I have had a very trivial and pleasant time removing the backing from velcro. If I had to use my finger nail it would not have been that easy nor fast. So I use these #13 xacto blades (which Xacto no longer makes). But Zona still does. After more than 10 years and hundreds of uses, I still have the same original blade in the knife. The back of the blade without the saw toot serrations is slipped under the clear plastic velcro backing about 100 times easier for me than if using a finger nail. My handle has a screw top over the blade, like the screw top on a fountain pen. I don't see that type of han…

We flightsimmers are all over the world and we all love our home areas with the variety of scenery and beauty in the world. I think it would be very pleasant for a thread for people to post their local favorite airports and VFR routes for scenic appreciation. This could work in any simulator platform especially P3D/FSX with Orbx treatments or X-plane default or with ortho and especially in MSFS with live scenery. Any opinions? Thanks.

Besides flight simulation, some of us like games--boardgames even. This one has been around a couple of years and the buzz was so good I finally picked it up at Target when I was with my wife. You don't have to like birds, but with 170 beautifully illustrated bird cards, and extremely high production values, it's hard to imagine anyone not enjoying it. It's not your typical cut-throat competitive game, and a bit hard to describe. There is very little player interaction, for one thing. You can game what's in the old bird feeder a bit, and your bird's power might be triggered by the action of another player, but that's about it. The mechanics are "engine building," which me…

My brother-in-law passed away a coulpe weeks ago and my wife is his only living relative so all of the cremation duties fall on her. He died in Oklahoma City and the funeral home sent her a ream of paperwork to sign. My first four years in the Marine Corps didn't collect as much paperwork in my jacket as was in the envelope they sent her. We spent the morning figuring our everything that she needed sign and a few things I had to witness. I came to the conclusion that humanity safe. It will never die out because there would be nobody left to sign all the paperwork. Noel

Hi folks, I noticed that general aviation is an effective way of travel in mountainous region where building railways is too costly. So I'm looking for some examples of application of general aviation in mountainous terrain. Therefore I found that Nepal is perfect for this topic, I plan to have a trip there but still haven't got time for it. Nepal does have many airports for its cities/towns on the hills, and they have to rely on air transport. 1.I want to learn about the fleet size of general aviation in Nepal. 2.I want to learn about some typical benefit that Nepal get from its general aviation department. (Like rescuing, air lifting, travel..) I tri…
