Bill--the award itself a great idea, and one that is well-deserved by Fr. Bill.As an English professor, a peer reviewer for a couple of educated journals, and a copy editor, I can't help but gently point out two typos. I just noticed that there are more people currently viewing the FSX Forum than the Flight Forum. Since the release of Flight, I don't think that's been the case.Is it possible to see a graph comparing the daily viewing stats (not postings) between FS2004, FSX, and Flight? If the actual numbers are proprietary, a relative comparison would still let us see any trends.Thanks.

Don't know if it was some key combination I mistakenly did or my current browser(Google Chrome) , but I have lost the entire top of the Menu Selections(File Library , forum etc) on the top of the main page of AVSIM . I have used Google Chrome for quite awhile now and have never had a problem with AVSIM . I can access everything on the main page just no menu bar across the top . Have not changed video drivers lately either . I hope I'm asking this in the right forum too .Thanks ,Rich

I understand and applaud (mostly) your upgrades to the website and forums, but I have to say, the color choices you and the staff have currently put in place for forum and topic headlines are just terrible, IMHO. The lighter brighter colors are hard on older eyes and almost glare and vibrate. In general, I think darker colors work best, but please do not consider reds for anything other than emergency notifications. Again, just my (very) humble opinion.

This month I purchased two planes through the AVSIM store, the Bushhawk and the Quest Kodiak. I have loaded these planes on a Windows Vista system and a Windows 7 system. Neither planes work. The exterior of the planes appear invisible. I understand from some forums that it may be a problem with Microsoft Directx. They tell you to go back to Directx 9. That's not ppossible in Windows 7 because I'm told the function is now embedded in the system.But After complaining to the AVSIM store twice for help I get NOTHING. not being a part of, or having taken part in the strong views expressed in the forum whose name shall not be mentioned, Doesnt the management feel that we are using the name forum too loosely. After all it was the romans that created forums as a place where free speech and radical ideas could be discussed with fervour and harsh words. unfortunately I have seen a real trend lately of end users coming and asking for support for products that have locked support forums for registered users only. Obviously there are some users who genuinely think AVSIM is where you get FS support for everything but the bigger issue is that if someone will not follow the proper support procedures it is "usually" because they are using illegal copies of the software. The Avsim Store needs to come up with a system that makes it easier for purchasers to re-install items they bought. Its not clear who you should contact. The list of downloads, in my case is inaccurate and the links are nearly all broken. I've run into this problem before. Its hard enough to recover from a hard drive crash without having to deal with these issues. I've gotten no answers from the store's as yet. I have not had these problems on any other site. If anyone can give some insight, please feel free to do so.

I just watched a YouTube vid of Alphasim's A6 Intruder carrier landing. I must say it was very cool. I have Iris's A6 as well as Razbams version and the Prowler as well. My question is, is the Alphasim's version still available for download? I have Googled it but just basically come up with pirated copies. Not my style. Looking for the payware version if it is still available. It appears the Alphasim website is no longer. Any help greatly appreciated. BTW, I was in a US Navy A6 "Rag" squadron in 1970. VA-42 out of NAS Oceana, we trained A6 pilots and BN's. So I have a soft spot in my heart for this aircraft. Thanks for the help.Philaka: SailorDoc
