HiIt appears my IP address was banned a few months ago due to an ex moderator being upset with a (private) message I sent. Hello,I recently posted a topic on Avsim Screenshot forum requesting screenshots of OIII, OISS and OIIE, some Iranian airports in FSX to be uploaded. In a few hours, maybe one or two, the topic was deleted without any notification! I don't know what I had done wrong?!? Today I saw Iran Air Tour's TU-154 repaint uploaded to the site went to download it and saw that there wasn't anything in the file "No more items in category"!And I remember that I myself uploaded some afcad files about a year ago, and they were never uploaded! I did not follow up on that then because I thought I had done something wrong. Seeing all these now has made me wondering if there is anything again…

I was thinking.. Most of the video card comparison and review that I find are for the post part for PC Games...but hardly any using flight sim.Would it be possilbe for AVSIM to do video card performance and evaluation for flight sim?Product review and/or comparitive evaluation just for Flight sim.Manny

AVSIM is a great place to find out what's happening with our hobby - latest changes, additions, upgrades, etc., but what about the STATUS of our hobby?For example, for the last couple of days the weather system has been down again and yet there's nothing about what's going on or how long we can expect it to be gone.I'd like to see your headlines and download page also include announcements like that - that notifies us that things like that are down, what is happening, and when it should be back up.Rick Wooton

Gamespot is simply charging for the ability to view a Miceodoft product demonstration video. This raises the possibility that Microsoft is collecting some percentage of the "action". Microsoft indirectly charging its potential customers for the right to view a product demonstration seems sleezy at best.I believe that Avsim should not support such behavior. AVSIMs news page has an announcment that Flight1 is announcing the F117A, however, the very first sentence is the following: "Just Flight is pleased to announce that it will be publishing F117A Stealth Fighter on 9th June." Looking on Flight1's website there is no mention of them publishing nor developing this aircraft. Don't get me wrong, I think Avsim is head and shoulders above other similar sites. The library is great, forums are active, and there's an obvious level of journalistic professionalism.But increasingly I think our hobby is divided into "eye candy" users and people obsessed with flight dynamics. I'm in the latter group, but I have complete respect for those who focus on visuals. With all the AI traffic and detailed visual models and scenery, I'm amazed at how true to life some people can make their virtual worlds.Unfortunately, I think attention to faithfully recreated flight dynamics gets short shrift on Avsim.
