I am sick of people asking GENUINE QUESTIONS and you lot are making a total mockery of them.This seriously has to stop, this is the internet, you are not big, you are not strong.EVERYONE IS EQUAL.What kind of communuity is this?

Hi TomI'm sure you are all hard at work trying your best to reinstate the library and other services that were attacked by the hacker(s). I realise you probably will never tell us who it was (I hope you will, though), but can you tell us if you have any degree of certainty regarding the culprit of this attack given your investigations and what sort of action you may take against the hacker(s)? I guess I don't have to tell you it would make those of us who are loyal to AVSIM happy to hear the culprit was caught and what punishment (if any) they had handed to them.Thanks,

Hello,First and foremost, AVSIM usually is the first place I go when I want to search for files or reviews. Sometimes however, it happens there is no review for the product I search. While understandable, it can be annoying: sometimes there seem to be good products that go entirely unnoticed. The Aerosim aircraft packages are a good example of this. It's almost completely unknown, without good reason. i think you get good value for your money. What I'd like to see is that these packages get their respective reviews, even if I'd have to write them myselves. Hello,After reading about the Flight1 Pilatus PC-12, especially the Pilatus endorsement by Tom Aniello, Vice President and CMO, Pilatus Business Aircraft, Ltd(second paragraph), I did go ahead and get it, but that is not the pertinent part. What is germaine is that it was endorsed and it started me thinking of what other simulated aircraft have been graced with equal favor?What other candidates do you know of? Please don't limit this to MSFS aircraft. If at all possible, link to the endorsement, if you can? To the Editors... Would this topic be worthy of its own forum?

I read about 1/2 the review on the DCS blackshark yesterday the 19th. When I came back to finish the review today it was gone.I don't see it in the commercial review index either.Did I miss something? I was really interested in buying this from F1.BTW I am very disappointed in the Abacus title flight deck 5. I've tried several times over the years to respond to surveys. Just now I answered all the questions in the survey and tried to submit; however I'm hit with a screen asking for my email which I provided. I'm still waiting for the response so I can finally submit my survey replies. In the past I've just given up and canceled. Anyone know what's happening? Why ask for another password for a survey response when I'm already registered with the forum? Still waiting for the password after about 15 minutes.

I was under the impression that spelling on these forums was to be upgraded. Funny to see the notice this morning that there was a problem with access to the files library and that a ' technicion' was working on it when it should be a 'technician' who was sent in to fix the problem. I just thought I should say thanks to the guys that have fixed the forums' speed issues. Everyone whines, carps, moans and groans when something breaks, but no-one has said "Thank You" yet. .....of course, I'm a bit blind and getting on in years and so I may have missed a post or two.... :(

I am trying to locate some technical documents for a flight simulaton project I am involved with, and need help. The museum at Wright-Patterson may be my only hope, but their site states they will not copy materials from T.O. manuals. Quite often when I read an interesting post I will click on the user profile icon to see where the poster lives. It's disapponting to see so many people hide all their personal details except for gender.I honestly don't understand why they do this. Surely a city or state and country is not divulging too much personal information?In some cases where people are asking about buying hardware it's esential to know which country they live in so relevant links to retailers can be provided.Could you run a campaign asking people to consider revealing their locations? I know some are paranoid about privacy but they seem to be taking it to extremes by hiding their resident country.T…

Hi,To support Avsim, I purchased an a/c using the avsim store last night. It was a direct download delivery option but I have not yet received a link to the download site or the activation key. Over the years I've uploaded quite a bit of freeware scenery and scenery objects to the Avsim libraries. I've never asked for donations before, but I'd like to now. I've already been told by Rick Case that it's OK for me to include a donation request in files that I upload. I'd also like to know if it's OK to post a message on a couple of forums (probably FS9 & FS9 Scenery) asking those who have downloaded and enjoyed my work to consider making a donation. Everything I've uploaded will remain free to anyone regardless of whether or not I get any donations. In particular I find "View Topics" for collecting information such an easy way to find information that I only dimmly remember reading some while back. I just wanted to say that Avsim is the most caring, professional, and all-round BEST site there is for Simmers. Not only does Avsim give us a wonderful and well organized forum in which to trade ideas and information, but to give us a platform for all these generously member-generated creations to download, is a magnificent gift to us all. Further more, I personally did a stupid thing during a download and accidentally overwrote vital original files...my fault, my mistake. Tom,This is not the first time this has happened, and I was mad then as I am now. I think it is not right to move a topic once it has gotten legs in a particular forum. At that point it deserves the right to stay there !Why should your readers spend a good deal of time to write a main stream response in "THE" mainstream forum (FSX) to what is then an established thread, and then find it moved to the sidelines. This is not fair to your readers and responders.I think once that topic has legs (numerous responses), it should be left alone no matter what. That alone indicates a strong interest.
