Dear Senior Staff of Avsim,First, long time avsim user (older name KDFW but forgot password), purchaser of *many* products offered by the sponsors, and FS user since the subLogic FS days...I'm rather alarmed at the state of affairs in the FS10 forum. Over the past couple of days, the said forum mostly degenerated into bickering session (see high-hit threads) and now threats of banishment of users for not espousing a certain point of view.We all appreicate civil discussion of what's on the minds of the user base and hope to learn/help each other. I have been reading Avsim for ten years or more, and it *always* rankles me when the apostrophe is mis-used on the main page or in reviews. I know I'm anal about this, but - aren't y'all journalists? Aren't journalists expected to be able to use the English language properly? (Disclaimer: I can't, because I was raised in West Virginia... That's my story etc. etc.)I am by no means a journalist or an English major (my field was engineering) but it distresses me to see a popular site perpetuate all-too-common grammatical and punctuation errors. The item on the home page regarding the Eaglesoft Liberty contains a bad link to the Eaglesoft website. It comes up as 'www "slash" eaglesoftdg.com" instead of 'www "dot" eaglesoftdg.com'.

At the end of the review there is an Editor's note that Auran filed for bankruptcy in December 2007. I believe there is some confusion here. According to what i have read Auran Developments filed for bankruptcy but the Trainz collection is owned by Auran Games which is still running but with reduced staff. Hi,I'd like to find the rating system being used in the Reviews. Is it published somewhere? I figure 1 to 5 is from good to best but where do the following fit in - or do they fit in:5 stars- AOE what does AOE stand for? For the past several days there has been a Product Category Survey on the news page. After completing the survey, you can send an E-mail to Pamela Nelson to enter a contest for a free hat or t-shirt. With the ignored problems with GAMESPY, I am asking the community to let them know, we are not past taking action. I have a question please, why has the news about the Vista Australis screenshot competition not been posted on the main page but the news of the Classic British Flight Sim Screenshot Competition has? I put a thread in the forums a few weeks back that got deleted because you do not allow things like that there, fair enough and I did not have a problem with that but I posted the Vista Australis competition 2 days ago and yesterday the CBFS competition news appeared but ours did not, can someone please ellaborate as to the reason?

I started to fill out your print magazine survey but stopped. You're asking the wrong questions. You ask if I subscribe, or not, and if not, do I borrow a copy from a friend. I do neither. I buy virtually every issue of both PC Pilot and Computer Pilot from the newstands. Also, you give me a radio button asking which publication I read. This is not a binary answer. I posted today in the hanger chat in the topic plane looses an engine. You can see who I am at the end of this post. I tried to write a post that was what I remember when writing when I went to school. I indented a couple of chacters. To my suprise, the web program deleted these indents. I remember indenting for a new section of the same subject. This ment another idea. It seems that this is lost and the M$is partly responsible for this.I will send them a copy of the post.JimCYWG
