When I start the Xplane Carenado S550 Citation. The EFIS displays remain blacked out. I have tried ever switch, Power,GEN,INV 1 and 2,AC,Aviation switch,Panel lights. Nothing works. I also don't have digital readout on the COM and NAV radios. I've watch Utube videos of the startup and they seem to come right on. Any Idea what might be wrong? Thanks for listening. Joe

Loaded the C208b for P3D. Looks ok from outside. Everything seems to be these when in the cockpit except for the outer skin of the aircraft. Pretty breezy when flying with no outer shell of the acft.

Carenado continues its foray into the regional turboprop world, with a Facebook announcement that it is developing the Embraer 120 Brasilia for FSX and P3D. Screenshots of the early external model look good! Bill

Hello all, My first post in this particular forum. I bought the Phenom 300 with the navpac from Carenado in September, got and installed the Bert Pieke GTN750 mod and started flying it regularly. I have loved it. Two weeks ago, I suffered a total failureon my standalone P3Dv4 250GB SSD. I bought a new one and reinstalledP3Dv4 and the first aircraft I tried to install was the Phenom. In every instance, I got the message "Specified serial not valid" after inserting email and serial number. I contacted Carenado who gave me much advice ie turn of antivirus, defender VPN etc. All of this I do as a matter of course, for every installation be it aircraft, sce…

For the Carenado Saab 340 in P3Dv4.3: So if I have the GTN installed, I can't use the FMC? None of the butons on the FMS are active when GTN installed. How does one go about setting fuel and payload without the FMC? There are options in P3Dv4 for fuel and payload, but these tend to be more time consuming because I have to calculate the fuel for each station from the total amount to be added, then add the fuel in, then do the same for each passenger section if I disable the GNT being on the panel (but still available in the menu), the the FMS just sits on "Loading Data Base" and I've tried all the fixes Carenado suggested but they don't fix the issu…

I have always had a dream of flying and I always love to come home from school and get some hours of flight time. Though there is one big problem. I have looked for a very good dash 8 Q-400. I know there is the one made by majestic and I have that one but my favorite general aviation and small commercial airplane website is Carenado. They create astounding airplanes such as the brand new Shorts 360. This plane is the most realistic I have seen yet and it inspired me to ask for a newer and one of my more favorite planes. I purchased the xplane s550 and have ver. 1.1 installed with the GTN 750. Ver 1.2 has come out and I downloaded it from Carenado's support page. It says to uninstall the old version before installing the new version. I removed the S550 folder from aircraft and placed the new version folder there but when I start xplane with the new S550, the panel and windows are all greyed out. What am I missing? Is there another way to uninstall the old S550 from Xplane.

Am I the only one who is getting constant, annoying, and repeated click, blower, or switch sounds in their Carenado planes in P3dV4.1? I don't know how to stop it, but it is consistent with all my Carenado aircraft. I don't get the issue with any others. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is? It's different on different a/c. For example in the Sr22, I have a constant switch sound (back and forth, non stop). In the Gtx, if I am anywhere near a cloud, the ground prox "500!" blares constantly, but if I'm not in the clouds, then the blower noise comes on automatically, and won't go off. Does anyone have a clue what might be going on ? Thanks :-)

Well, I've gone and purchased the Citation II for X-Plane 11 and I must say it's a lovely aircraft inside and out. However, the documentation for a new user is abysmal. Let's face it 29 pages of photocopied performance tables (useless) and procedures not tailored to this particular release but no cockpit familiarization. C'mon Carenado, I'm sure you can do better.. For example, if I need to turn off the landing gear warning horn I would like to know where to do it and what to press. Having a picture of the panels with descriptions of what the various things do is an absolute necessity. Does anyone have an idea where I can get a full cockpit r…

Hi All, I purchased da42 from alabeo with g1000, I put carenado folder in the root x-plane folder as required, when I start up the plane the g1000 launches but the FMS does not contain gps database (i.e. there are no airports nor navaids, etc)

I really like the TBM 850 and I want to get more carenado planes with glass , G1000 but one thing that bugs me is I can't seem to figure out how to dim them and turn them down in the VC, they are to bright and "blow out" in the vc mode. any solutions? Thanks.

There seems to be some confusion at Carenado about airspeed and Mach limits and the way they should be displayed. Many times I have gotten the dreaded overspeed siren only to look at the airspeed display and see my airspeed needle nowhere near the "barber pole" limit. Those limits, for purposes of the FSX/P3D aural warnings and "Overspeed" message, are contained in the aircraft.cfg file in the [Reference Speeds] section. Sometimes they are accurate and sometimes they are not. But either way, they are the limits the simulator uses internally. I really enjoy flying P3D Carenado aircraft. I receive emails there are updates offered for planes I fly, but, I'm unsure how to install the updates or how to verify if I'm using the most current version. Is there an Avsim forum thread with a procedure to update Carenado aircraft? How can I tell if I'm flying the most up to date version of a Carenado aircraft? Thanks very much for your help.

Why hasn't this been fixed, or is it just a Carenado-ism we gave to live with ? Both Aileron and Rudder trim gauges move the wrong way. Seriously ?

Hello, I have the DA62 that came with Navigraph/G1000 integrated but notice that the GPS is completely off when I use the "Direct to" button, for example I wanted to to go from Lisbon to Santa Maria (Azores), from LPPT to LPAZ, using the direct to button the GPS shows LPAZ in the middle of the ocean more than 100NM, please look at this screen shot . It's weird, this issue is not present with any other aircraft so I think it has to do with navigraph. Any ideas as why I'm getting this?

Tried to update the Da62 but get a scripting error. Other purchases work fine. It just doesn’t download.

Has anyone been successful in replacing the awful Carenado FMC with the ISG, Friendly Panels, VASFMC or Easy FMC/ It seems weird using the GTN750 in a passenger liner like the F50. But the Carenado FMC seems real flaky.

On the next development projects, is it possible to spend a little more time in development, and make ALL lighting in the cockpits dimmable? Please? Pretty Please? In the world of VR nowadays, it totally sucks flying with bright lights in the cockpit at night! I’m willing to pay more for the add-ons. Please take this request into consideration. Thanks. Ray

Simply put is there a way to import flight plans to any Carenado aircraft.

Carenado has gained a lot of experience over many years. I think, Carenado, is number one in the world of simulator for business jets and private jets. As a fan of Carenado, we now want a great long-range, new generation, luxurious and large business jet from Carenado. For example; -Gulfstream G650 -Dassault Falcon 8X -Dassault Falcon 900 etc. (My personal preference is Gulfstream G650) Hopefully Carenado will make our dreams come true with such a plane. I absolutely believe that Carenado will succeed.

Hi, am new to flight sim and using Prepar3d v4. Am looking for a nice turbo prop passenger plane with a basic (but functional) FMC to use as a stepping stone rather than getting overwhelmed with the likes of the Majestic Q400 and PMDG range of planes (when i move on to doing longer flights in jet aircraft). I like the looks of the Carenado F50 and S340. Would either of these planes be ok for learning some of the basics please ? Just looking for something relatively simple where you enter departure and destination in the fmc, along with the route and approach etc, take off, hit autopilot and let the plane do most of the work whilst you watch and learn, maybe having the abi…
