PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

    Looking for an answer on why I have to load my login info every time I use 747 and the EFB with navigraph charts. I read on forums this problem was fixed in the last update but for some reason I still have to click on the page that comes up. Maybe I missed something and just need pointed in the right direction.     Hi, Let's consider the case where there are NO FD, NO A/P, NO A/T armed, so everything is manual and I am flying levelled at constant speed. Is it correct that, if the speed increases WITHOUT me touching the thrust levers, so for example I pitch down and the speed increases, the engines N1 slowly and constantly increases as speed increases? Viceversa, if I pitch up and the speed decreases, N1 will decrease? Same thing on the ground: I manually set an N1 takeoff thrust and there is NO autothrottle at all. As speed increases in my takeoff run, N1 increases as well. I suppose that this is due to the air speed that flows more quickly into the fan and makes it turn faster…

    Hello, Recently, I just have reinstalled P3D and 747 on the new system and ran into quite unusual issue - I cannot type the FIX distance coordinates further than 499 miles. For example, for CYYQ I can type 003/400, but when I type 003/800, I'm receiving "Invalid Format" error. Any ideas why? Thank you in advance Dimitriy Troporov.

    Hi! Was flying the 747.8F from EDDK - ESSA yesterday... on the departure it worked fine on the performance page but during cruise when I was planning the approach and entered the landing page in the EFB I couldnt populate the data on the EFB. When I clicked the copy from FMC button it just went back to the EFB without any data. When selecting the airport through the search function. It did not populate any fields at all. Anyone else seen this problem? /Niklas Eriksson

    I have a fully licensed 747-400 and 8i version from PMDG and I´m using FSX steam version. When I start the game with 747 it just gives me black screens even though all power sources are on and working.

  8. Hello, with the PMDG 747-400 I'm observing a strange thing. Raising the value for the OAT increases the N1 thrust on takeoff and vice versa. The behaviour of the PMDG 737 NGX is different and to my knowledge correct. Thanks! Best regards Andreas

    After pushback and engine start, I saw that my zfw was 650k lbs, but during my preflight, I had set it to 641.3 before loading fuel and flightplan. I tried putting 641.3 back into the payload page, but it would stay at 650. I then had to enter 629.2, which then displayed as 641.3 on the payload page. The weird part, is that the PERF INIT also shows 641.3 after right clicking it to reload it, but the EFB shows 629.2k lbs after importing from aircraft; the number I would type into the payload page that would display as 641.3. I will attach a screenshot once I figure out how..........

    Hello Captains. At the simulation settings page (fmc) we can enable or disable the "HI IDLE ON FLARE" option. I red the manual but i still don´t undrestand what this option is good for. Should i enable this option for getting the most realistic flying experience?

    Hi, I am experiencing a strange issue with FS2Crew, of which Bryan York is aware, but i would like to check here if it could be related to the latest 747 update. To this regard, I need a favour: could anyone who has the 747-400 latest update (Jan 6) and FS2Crew v1.3 with P3D v4.4 check if, at landing, the FO callout "60 knots" can be heard and if the FS2Crew ROLLOUT mode is maintained until about 40 knots before it switches to AFTER LANDING PROCEDURE? All this with the voice version and the EU1 voice.     On my last flight I had a strange issue with HDG SELECT mode First leg on the SID was a VECTOR, so after initially having selected LNAV I changed it to HDG SELECT during taxi out. On climbout the FD suddenly commanded a right turn away from the selected HDG of 11°.... Sorry, screenshot has low resolution to see details, but current heading is 12°, selected HDG is 11° , active roll mode is HDG SEL and FD is comanding a right turn......how can that be?     I'm still breaking in the 748 and encountered something I haven't seen before. The tanks were set up for a short haul flight with more fuel in 2&3 than 1&4. The center tanks were empty. As on the 744, I set the pumps on for every tank, turned on the xfeeds, and set the override pumps on for 2&3 so as to draw from the heavier tanks until the fuel quantify was equal in every tank. At around cruise with plenty of fuel, tanks 1&4 were flooded with the reserve tanks. The reserves went to empty in under five minutes, and I spent the rest of the flight burning from the outboard tanks. The only thing I can think of that would cause this would be if I acciden…

    I went to options on the FMC at the radio control panel to customize the aircraft displays...Having completed that, I can't get this FMC to return to the screen where you start with the engine type,,the current Navigraph cycle and etc. the pilot and copilot FMC are as expected when starting up a flight where you begin to load the FMC.Do you have any idea of what i did wrong?

    Hi, In this video, I don't understand why they started pushing back and taxiing with only #2 and #4 ? as far as I know, #2 and #4 both provide breaking (normal and alternate) but only #1 provide nose and body steering, #2 does not, how could they steer the plane without ENG #1 ? Someone could explain me ? Thanks

    Hi Guys, I was fueling the 747-8i on a ULR from 11.8 to 155.4 tons. I was minding my own business when suddenly the engineer came on the intercom. I could barely make out him asking me to pressurize hydraulics 2 & 3 and to set the stabilizer to 6° for proper stabilizer refueling. I was surprised, but complied. After I set my stab trim to 6°, the engineer came back on to ask me to depressurize the hydraulics so he can start fueling. I complied, and some 15 seconds later ..... viola !!! Amazing. Since a quick search online or in the intro manual did not reveal results I though it would be interesting to post. Cheers,

  18. Flying G-CIVI from WSSS to EGKK I encountered something strange that I thought I'd query on the forum. Some of the particulars: ZFW; 234.6 Fuel 161.7 02L Departure. I used a de-rate for the takeoff calculated by TOPCAT (via PFPX); FLAPS; 20 SEL; 33C This was all entered and accepted by the FMC without problem giving me a V2 of 181kts. During the takeoff roll I advanced the throttles to about 55% let them settle then engaged TOGA, the throttles then automatically advanced to TO Thrust (1.72 EPR) however, this triggered an engine overheat warning.     OKay okay hear me out. I know this issue has been talked about before and yes, I will bring it forward again. I have no idea why both my 737NGX and 747 QOTSv2 is not responding anymore. I'm scared to uninstall them because I can not unregister my products and I'm pretty sure I'm on my last activations. I've reinstalled the SDK's and reinstalled the SimConnect (which was working fine because other addons were using it too). So like is there any other fix that I might try?

    Hi, Just went through some photos of real 747-8 driver, one of them that had my attention the pilot was about to take off with 418.100 kgs Gross Weight, Fuel 111.000 Kgs with that heavy he was able to take off with D-TO 1 that makes me wonder how.     Call me a numpty, gents,......(sticks and stones and all that.......)if you want, but need some help, please. Flew the 748 for the first time this evening having acquired it last night. Great aircraft. Kudos PMDG. Downloaded a demo version of the Navigraph Charts. The two airports featured are supposed to be fully-fledged, yet I could not see anything to show me the airport ground charts. In other words, if I paid for the subscription, not being able to see the airport taxiways, parking slots, etc would be a waste of money for me at least, only to see airways, which in any case looked like a plethora of lines hither, thither and everywhere.     It's almost like they're static lines that are moving somehow, other PMDG aircraft have better wipers with smooth(ish) motion, and other addons have even better wipers with detailing, at least make the animation smooth, not make it feel like an 8 bit game?

    Hello. Due to whatever reason, I found that especially on higher Gross Weights, the plane starts to rotate on it´s own during T/O Run prior to reaching vR. E.g.: TOW: 378to. Flaps 10 TOCG 22% Thrust: TO Stab Trim on FMC: 6.7 Stab Trim was set to the value on the FMC, just after passing v1, the nose begins to rise without any input on the elevators. No noise from joystick at all, confirmed by STATUS Page on EICAS ( Elevator neutral ). Happens regardless of RWY used and regardless of aerodrome elevation / wind / QNH /etc. Any thoughts?
