Hello, This is my first time posting on an AVSIM forum. When I finish landing in the PMDG 777 or 747, the brakes stay on. Even if I apply 100% N1, it reaches a maximum speed of 1 knot. When I try to set the parking brakes and release them, it doesn't work. I searched a lot on the internet, tried everything I could find, and nothing worked. When I tried to set the brake repeat slider in P3D to 50%, I still couldn't move. I do not have any of these problems in the 737NGX. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

hi Guys I have a problem with the 747-8. Although I can steer the aircraft on the ground, but the nose gear does not move and remains rigidly aligned straight out. the main gear is moving. especially in relatively narrow turns you can see that very well. but the nose gear does not move. this problem is on the intercontinental and the freighter the same. i´m using the fsx. best regards mario murhöfer

I would like to know on the center gauge left side of the landing Gear stick the word .fmc comes up on the gauge,would like know the meaning of this.

Hi All I am using prepar3dv4 with PMDG 747-400 and Active Sky for P3Dv4, on windows 10 I believe I have all the setting correct, because they are the same as my pc setup, (this is about my install on a laptop). I have been through the FMC options on the aircraft. After starting all the software and using Active sky in realtime mode, and populating my FMC with the flight plan. I attempt to upload the weather data, and destination wind data and always get the FMC message Data Link No Comm. I dont get this on the PC. what am i doing wrong. Regards Paulh1

Hi all, I've recently made the move from FSX to P3D and slowly buying the P3D PMDG products again. I brought the 737NGX last month and it installed with no problems. Last night I download the 747 and it installed with no issues however, the Operation Centre only shows up the once after reinstalling and once closes, can no longer be found on the PC. Also If I download any liveries, whether it being from AVSIM or from OC it shows them in the Aircraft Change menu, but once selected, it crashed P3D and then no longer shows it. Also, when loading P3D a message appears saying "Cannot get product version data - string not found" I have reinstalled this 3 times so far …

From a lot of YouTube videos I've seen, it seems the 748 has a much higher angle of attack than the 744, especially during climb and approach. Is this by design? I've seen climbs where the nose is at 15 degrees and the fpa is only 2-3 degrees climb. Looks like its always on the edge of stalling.

Hello; I was actually able to observe the cockpit shakes in action while flying through some severe weather conditions which was nice. However, I noticed it was very jerky which didn't seem very realistic, the same type jerky movement you get on the runway during takeoff; the cockpit sounds are great though. I use EZ Dock and their turbulence mode is much more fluid which seems more realistic in terms of motion related to turbulence. I was able to observe both mild and severe turbulence. I am not saying it's a problem but just wanted to confirm that it's working the way it should or is there another setting somewhere to change the motion. Or maybe it's different…

Hi! Some smart PC. Plt. having knowledge about the B748 steering tiller and nose wheel behavior in conjunction with GSX during push back? When I request PB from GSX and the PB initialize a turn (in any degrees) the nose wheel and steering tiller in my acft. start to shaking violently. The parking brake is released during PB.

In my system (FSX Acc) strobe lights are absent on those two variants. Any ideas of how to make them show ?

Did a cold dark start up today and I can't get engine 2 started. I have 43 psig duct pressure. Isolation valve is selected open, but instruments say it is closed. Can't open up #2 bleed valve. I even threw the APU on. Any advice. It seems bleed valve is stuck.

Running P3D 4.4 with the latest update of the -8, I think I might have something wrong with the sound. Every time I change view from inside the airplane to outside like tower view, it feels like the engine sound reload. For example during a take off roll the engine running at 90% N1, at the time I switch to tower view the engines sound "spool up again" to me. Same thing happens when I pan view in spot plane view, I not sure if I made myself clear, because the engine sound is different now.

I have downloaded and installed the 747-400 v3 ...9193 version. Loading the Ops Center it says there is an update to .....9195. I try running the install update option. It gets to about 9 of 44 files, and the window closes. I have also installed the 747-800 v3 version, and updates install correctly. I have tried running as Admin, disengaged the antivirus software, and it won't install the update. NOT to mention, downloading the main installer is still 9193, NOT 9195. What do I have to do to get the update to install?

I updated my 747-400 and the 800 via the Operations Center. I have not updated to P3DV4.4 yet. Unfortunately after the aircraft update I can no longer fly those aircraft. I have tried to uninstall and and reinstall but the version it updates to won't run anymore. It's very frustrating to say the least to have these 2 products dead in the water right now. Anyone have any suggestions to how I can get these aircraft working? Mike

Hello; I just purchased the 747 V3 today and just wanted to do a quick free light (no flight plan) just to get a quick feel of the aircraft's handling and set up. As I got above 5000 feet I set my altitude to 10,000 set the Rate Of Climb and engaged the Auto Pilot. It stayed engaged for approximately 15 seconds then the Primary displayed showed Auto Pilot (in orange) and then it disengaged with the alarm. I tried several times using different attitudes, different Rate Of Climbs, different throttle settings, different speeds but always the same issue. Hello, I update to new version via PMDG operations manager. As a result there are strange colours on pylons and engines frames… I reinstalled textures but result is the same. Is anybody having the same issue ? many thanks ! JM

Having just watched a documentary on the development if the 747, it seems that one of the phenomena that needed to be contended with was something called ‘flutter’, a massive vibration throughout the aircraft at certain speeds and height which was capable of breaking an aircraft, even a 747, apart. I couldn’t quite tell what was done to allow the aircraft to contend with this problem so am putting the question out there. Also was wondering if there are conditions now in which an aircraft could encounter this difficulty and what it is that a pilot might have to do to deal with it.

Wonder how the PMDGs 744 and 748 cope with this arrival, full of altitude ( above and bellow ) constraints, as well as some speed constraints too... Start from FL370 CRZ, in the 744 a GW of around 260T ( reference for another test I ran myself... ). Have you tested your 74x's VNAV with it ? Try it through the IRMN1 STAR (IRMN2 will do as well... ) followed by an ILS 24R and report back... ( winds allowing it... ) Can't test it myself because I do not own either for FSX / P3D... just the 777 200 LR. Really curious about the results. Thanks.

Hi everyone, I sometimes have this issue: When I'm on descent, my aircraft starts to gentle bounce or do a jerk movement... Then suddenly it loses control and starts to roll uncontrollably, pitching up and causing a stall. I manage to recover from the situation sometimes depending on my altitude. I use Active SkyNext16, I run FSX on Windows 7 64bit. I will attach a screen shot of the moment when I had the last lose of control. My Turbulence settings are at 0 for all the categories in the ASN settings... I thought doing that will help mitigate the problem or at least solve it but it hasn't. I have this strange texture bleed-through on my EFB (747-8). But the problem does not occur when the EFB is opened in a 2d window. (see photos). This also occurs in my T7 with the panels where an EFB might go. I have noticed it is associated with DX10 because when I turn that off I do not have the problem. Anyone have ideas or solutions?
