Hi. I have saitek throttel since 10 years. I don't know if it doesnt works fine because the throttel moves constantly. It is very difficult to configurate. I do it with fsuipc. Some idea? Regards

Sometime ago, someone posted in the 777 forum a problem occurred in some runways around the world, where a message “rw/ils freq error” appeared during the approach, i.e., the autotuning ILS system was not recognizing the frequency. It was identified as a bug and the walkaround was clearing the frequency box on the NAV/RAD page before entering the destination. This post was answered by lots of pilots with the same problem. Hi. I've reinstall all fsx, incluiding 747 800 v3. In old installation vc is not so close like now. I see mcp, efis so close. In options I use a bottom to zoom in and to zoom out but I can not reach the right distance. Do you know what is happening? Regards

Hi. I bought recently 747 8i. First question, there's a manual for it? I only see the one that is inside efb. Esconde question, when I programm the cdu and all is ok for t/o , ils for arriving airport failed. Shows in fmc. What is the problem? And again there's a manual in the web? Regards

Hi there, I've tried searching the forum, but couldn't see anyone else mentioning this issue. I have a problem where, on initial load from the Scenario Setup screen in P3D v3.4.22.19868 , I have non-functional Engines 1 and 2. I have uninstalled and reinstalled P3D, the PMDG Product, and the SimConnects. Manually starting the engines doesn't work. What does fix the problem is, loading another aircraft, and then switching back to the 747. Here is the EICAS when first loading the 747 Heres the EICAS if I follow the normal start procedure. So I really like the Asiana livery on the 747 400F but would like to find one for the 8F. Does anyone know if someone has made that livery for the 8F. I tried searching a few sites already including this one but was unable to find anything. Thanks

Hi everyone, I'm having some issues with my PMDG 747. I asked for help in other forums but I didn't get any answer. I hope someone can help me: basically after 2/3 hours cruising at FL380 my autopilot gots crazy, the aircraft started to bank to the left of my course and descend of 500/600ft. I tried to disengage it, the CMD button light was out, but I wasn't able to take control of the aicraft anymore, It was like stuck. I tried to change heading with the heading selector, but nothing: the aicraft kept banking to the left constantly with 5* bank angle. I thought was something related to the magnetic compass, considering I was flying at high latitudes, but…

Hi all. Does anyone know of any mods that I can install for the PMDG747 cockpit that gives it a more realistic look, e.g. Flight instrument display screen reflections?, buttons and knobs with a used / worn effect. Also does anyone have a better colour configuration for the Flight instrument display screens ? Finally, when dimming the screens after a flight, you set it to the lowest yet the screen still appears to be on? is there a fix for that? Thanks! Perry

Hi everyone, I had some issue with the autopilot during my previous flight, from Glasgow to Seattle with PMDG 747. I was cruising at FL380 with LNAV,VNAV and CMD set and after 2 hours flying normally the AP went crazy: The aircraft started to turn to the left with constant bank angle of 5* ( F/D was inviting me to turn to the right following the FMC) and the altitude was fluctuating between FL380 and FL370, I tried to disconnect the autopilot but It didn't let me take control of the aicraft, please help me I don't know what to do 😥 I also use active sky 2016

Hello everyone, I am fairly new to the PMDG 747 and Boeing Planes in general, so this might be an beginner mistake. Anyways I start my flights with the Aircraft Sate “short”. Mostly I am flying the 747-400 freighter version. Unfortunately I always have the “No Land 3” alert displayed when I am flying. After my research, I found out that this is (in most cases) caused by letting the power get interrupted. In my case this can only be caused when going from APU to engine power supply, due to the fact that the APU is already running when loading the state of the aircraft and there’s no disconnecting of an external power unit. Hi all, Googled a fix and couldn't find one, not technically minded but did a Google search and found this forum. In the last week I bought the PMDG 747 for FSX. I have attempted this particular flight 4 times and now 4 times it has got into the cruise, halfway from EHAM to TNCM, and my computer starts making the warning sounds like it is about to run out of memory. I have previously had an issue with ActiveSky causing this so I shut it down. No help at all, 4th time not lucky. 2 hours into the cruise and the imminent shutdown of FSX is sounded. Hawaiian Airlines did not use the 747 but I like the style so here is my passenger version to compliment my cargo version I did awhile back. You can get this file at Avsim library, Flightsim.com library and SOH library. Look for Paul Grubich and all my paints will show up. I like to fly this in the FsDreamTeam Honolulu Int. scenery. So I've flown the 800 a few times before but really haven't used the EFB. Today I decided to do a flight in the 800 and finally decided to use the EFB to calculate my takeoff performance for me. I was able to put in all the correct data and was able to get the proper calculations but was confused on how to understand the data. I know it give me the vspeeds and the recommended flap settings but I would also like to know if the runway I plan to use is long enough bases on the current weights and weather conditions. So would it warn me if the runway I selected is too short based on the current aircraft weight and weather conditions or do you still have to determine if t…

Hi guys, I decided to buy the 747-400 plus the 800 expansion last night instead of the 777. I could only afford one plane. I'm big on really nice cockpits that have a deep level of immersion. I understand that the 747-800 is newer than the 777. Does the 747-800 pretty much have everything the 777 has but more? Like the EFB, checklists, more switches maybe? I don't understand what the major differences are (if any) from a cockpit "level of detail" standpoint between the two aircraft? Does the 777 have things that the 747-800 doesn't?

Hopefully someone can jump in with advice....I updated to 4.4, all works fine and last night I tried my first 748 flight, however I was unable to load. This doesn't happen with NGX or 777 (currently in the Air). When open Load Vehicles I can see 748 but when selected got message can't load the plane in p3d. I checked OC and and I needed to repair one Livery. I did it but still couldn't load. This only happens with 747-8. I've seen here on the forum some had problem with everything but I have only with this equipment. Thanks

Hi , I am running FSX Steam edition, with PMDG 747 QOS II. For weather generation, I am running Active Sky16 and Active Sky Cloud Art. When you run the FSX in x2 mode, after 15-20 minutes the flight simulator crashes and an error message appeared: AS16 cannot control ambient weather parameters correctly, thus it cannot function properly at this point and will shut down. Please make sure you have proper rights/ownership of the program files (x86) folder and have trusted/excluded AS16 from your security software, as well as the simulator's as_srv folder and included .dll modules. I just purchased and installed the 747 QoTS II v3 and I'm already having issues. P3dv4 loaded fine the first time with the Delta 747-400, but since freezing my pc, I haven't been able to get the 747 to properly load in the selection screen and then it won't start the scenario. It just freezes up with the little load circle spinning and then eventually give the "Prepar3d stopped responding"

Hello, I'm just preparing my first flight in this beauty, but somehow the ground power and air start unit won't disconnect. Both day 'DISCONNECTING' for several minutes, but nothing is happening. Am I missing something or is there a way to reset all ground connections immediately? Thanks Jan

I have the V.III version of the 747 and I have been taxiing without undo use of the brakes, didn't even go that far, but they heat up nonetheless. I do not use pedals , just a joystick and a squeeze brake lever. Sometimes it happens after landing too. Didn't happen much on the earlier version. What's going on?? Anyway to turn it of Tx Ken
