What is the difference in flying the 400 vs. the 8i in terms of operating the aircraft and it systems. Are the systems that different ? Or is the flight difference like that of the 777-200 vs the 777-300?

PMDG 747-8F loads with this warning but I've yet to see any issue(s) or the reason for it..

Any suggestions how to turn on the EFB. Whenever i load at the stand the EFB is turned off. I have tried using the power button on the top corner, checked on the FMC and it is assigned, i have a current Navgraph subscription, but for some reason like i said when i load the airceaft at the stand the EFZb is turned off and i cannot get it to turn on.

Hey guys, I’ve recently started noticing an issue.... My strobes are stuck on solid white, whether the switch is on or off, and it’s even stuck on when there is no power available to the aircraft. It’s a consistent issue across all variants, all liveries, and countless simulator restarts and even PC restarts have not fixed the issue. Any advice?

I have a problem here about PMDG Operations Center. My PMDG 747 is in v3.00.9008 but I want to update it with v3.00.9193 considering that the only available version is v3.00.9431. Is there any way to update it with only the version that I want? because I am having problems with the latest version available.

Hello Folks, So after all of these years (since FS started) of using the default FSX ATC I purchased PRO ATC X and so I started to use SID's & STAR's as part of flying experienced.I always stayed away from using SID's & STAR's due to the headaches associated with the process. I understand how to read the charts and program the FMC, there a lot of videos out there however, they rarely go into details about corrections and other inherent issues and what to do. So I do need some help in that respect.. So a little bid of a background that may help pinpoint where I may be going wrong or there may be a real issue that I wasn't aware of. I am using PMD…

I bought this for FSX-SE but it is virtually unflyable on FSX steam even with a high end system. I turn all my scenery sliders down to about 50% with no addon scenery and still cannot finish a basic 800 mile flight without all missing ground textures etc. due to memory issues I'm assuming. I have a high-end gaming computer. I never thought I could be so disappointed with a PMDG product.

So now that I have my improved template for the 74 I decided its time to revisit my Prime Air repaint. Its about time anyways. There are planes with winglets flying now so I have an idea of what Amazon was planning for the winglets. So here we go with a couple shots I put together this morning. Any inputs? List of changes: Weathering (Lots and lots and lots of it) Logo is bigger Tail number has been changed to reflect a Prime number. I have plans for tail numbers for the BCF and the -8 I'll be doing. There is an alignment issue that needs to be addressed because of the A/C inlet scoops.

After engaging the autopilot, it disengages after approximately 10 seconds. I thought trim was the cause but it wasn't. I've looked through the manuals but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Help this rookie out (lol) Matt Wright

I have about $150.00 to buy a payware airplane. I am using P3DV4.X the latest version...I haven't purchased any PMDG aircraft for P3Dv4, but did purchase all the PMDG aircraft for FSX...At the moment, I am using other brands, but not totally satisfied with them...I am toying between a "new" airbus from another company or the PMDG 747..."Queen of the sky" base for $136, I believe... If someone can convince me why I should buy PMDG product over other brands in a couple of hours from now, I will purchase the PMDG. This might sound silly, but I need some "frank" opinions...

Hi, After updating, the Data Link did not work. FMC tells me that there is no link. Radio C is on "Data". In the options "Auto preflight uplinks" and "Auto pos rprt downlink" are set to yes... Tryed different antennas. No success. Can somebody help me out? Was a nice feature to get the wind speeds from AS. BR and thx! Mathias

I have used the gauges for many years on all kinds of aircraft with no problems. Recently I purchased the PMDG 747-8 which has a built-in EFB. My problem was that the EFBs on the side panels where there but would not display anything - they were dark. Through a process of elimination I discovered that the RCB GH was somehow in conflict with the -8 EFB display. I removed RCB GH and everything works great in the -8. Any clues about this? I seem to have a problem with loading a route via the the DLNK?ACARS page on the cnter CDU. After I populated the ORIGIN, DEST and FLIGHT NO in the RTE page an the pilots CDU, I then go to the center CDU and select DLINK from the MENU page.Next, I select PREFLIGHT with LSK1L on the ACARS MAIN MENU. However, the ORIG STA, DEST STA are NOT automatically populated, only the FLT NUM, PLN DEP DATE and the ATC FLT ID. If I now populate the missing fields manually and press DLNK CNCT/LSK6R, it changes to DLNK SYNC, but I never get the chime nor an EICAS message. However, the DLNK ACT will appear and I can load the route with the REQUEST SENT and the LOAD command on th…

I wanted to start flying 747-400 again and the software loaded properly and comes up with the engines running. My problem is trying to get the PMDG Setup page to come up by pressing and holding the menu button on the lower display. I have also tried the same procedure on the upper FMC without success. Therefore I cannot load fuel and payload properly. The battery is on, panels light up ref FMC. Just trying to get to the setup page for PMDG Fuel and Payload. Are the lights turned down or off when the battery is on? I have reloaded the software many times without resolving my problem. Suggestions please. Phil

Ever since the last update for the 747- PMDG V4 ( a few days ago), the leading wing edges and the engine nacelles are black. (On every 747 model.) The black disappears once airborne, but on the ground they're black. What's the deal? (also can't figure out how to insert a photo.) Best

Hello. I had a 747-400 queen of the skies II version 3.00.8415 and I bought the 747-8. But it does not install. I have to upgrade. I found in the forum that you have to go to redownload the PMDG 747-400. As I had the original link to download I downloaded it again (next to the installer there was the installer also for the 747-8) but the version is the same 3.00.8415 as the one I already have installed and not the version 3.00.9008. Where do I have to look for the 9008 version ? Thank you Riccardo Papi

I keep getting two messages from the FMC that I have no clue how to resolve or what it is telling me. #1 is "Pilot Response" and the other is " No Land 3". I've gone through the manual but can't find reference to these messages. How do I resolve the messages.
