PMDG 747 Queen of the Skies II

I have noticed with some of the liveries, There are lower resolution textures on the flap fairings, wings, engine pylons, engines and other parts of the airplane. I noticed today that the silver Northwest livery has low resolution textures over the entire aircraft. The PMDG house livery is the same way. There are some that I downloaded that are all lower resolution than others. On some liveries, one wing has higher resolution textures than the other one. While some liveries are using all higher resolution textures like the United Airlines battleship gray livery. Is this intentional or is something going on on my end? Hi When selecting the PMDG747II to flight, the P3D screen becomes fully black and non responding, reinstall the aircraft doesn't fix the problem !!! Note: the other aircrafts work great. Also i have a kaspersky, i didn't found any issue with any of other addons. So plz help me to fix this!! Thx

How can I calibrate 747 controls. I cannot make a complete flight, every time during takeoff / cruise A/P keep disconnecting. This is happening with all 737 series also. I tried work on P3D Calibration Device. I really have no idea what is happening. I have 12 years CH Yoke/Pedal, I like them. Please give me an advise Thanks

I just installed the 747-8 and after it installed, it opened the Operation Center and I had a notification saying that there's an update for the 747-8. Every time I click the OK button to update the aircraft, it crashes, or stops working. I get the message saying that 747-8update.exe has stopped and need so close. What is the problem here now? It seem to me that this file is corrupted. I've installed the latest version of the 747-8 and there's no reason for this to be happening. Ken.

Hi Does anyone have any NON-PBR paints for the 747, especially the centurion paints for the -400 & -8 Reason being - PBR messes with VR, so all the externals go see through when using flyinside for VR. It was fine before they released all the PBR paints.. Alternately, if anyone has other paints, or suggestions to make it work... If anyone could help it'd be great. Thanks,

On my most recent flight in the 744, I flew from JFK-ORD at FL380 with a cost index of 90. I don't know the typical cost index used for this aircraft type, so 90 was a guess for me. I have noticed though, that VNAV has me descending at 260kts down from FL300. Isn't this a really slow speed for an aircraft of this size? With no speed restrictions, I would expect more along the lines of 280-300kts. Is there something I may be doing wrong or is this normal?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody can help me solve this problem. I go onto my takeoff performance page on my FMC and when I input the data for flaps, the FMC does not respond. I try to go to another page on the FMC, and all the data becomes blank. Thanks! Christopher Ong

I am having some issues with the displays lagging in the sim in the -400. FPS is excellent, but the speedtape as well as the altitude displays are lagging behind. Is there a setting within the sim that affects this?

So I bought the PMDG B747 Queen of the skies in January of 2018. I recently redownloaded FSX, and redownloaded the PMDG B747. Its asking for my activation code, which I don't have anymore. I've tried requesting to get the code back, but with no reply. Is there anyone who could steer me in the right direction so I can get in the air again. I had no problem with my PMDG 737, just the 747.

Hi everyone! I´m pretty sure it´s just a tiny little thing i forgot to adjust. After complete Sim Reinstallation to another drive, i´m struggling with my 747 to do fully automated landings. Tried it on different airports, and tried it with the 737 and the 777. With these ones everthing works well, like the 747 did as well before the reinstallation. When i turn into the final appoach and i engage the Approach-Button i only approaching with Glidepath instead of Slope. And the other to Autopilot buttons do not engage. I have in Suspect that i missed to adjust an option in the PMDG Equipment-Setup properly. So, does somebody know which options are have to …

Hello folks, (all are looking for the new stuff in the 747...) as noted in another thread, the placards above the PFDs 1. Horizontal stabilizer tank fuel usage restrictions required 2. AD 2002-19-52 Fuel usage restrictions required ... vanish if you accelerate (or decelerate) via the R+/- combination. I don't believe that this is wanted, is it? Thanks.

Are there event ID's available for the 747. I know the 737 and 777 have control ID's. But what about the 747? Frank

I've tried the followings: 1. Re-installing 2. Delete the shaders folder 3. Restore the default shaders (using tomatoshades) 4. Disabling dynamic lighting 5. Disabling the HDR lighting (made the issue worse) The 777's and 737's seem to be fine, the only issue is with 747-4 and 747-8. Thanks,

For those who've not yet noticed, the Electronic Flight Bag Onboard Performance Toolbox (EFB OPT) on the PMDG 748 i/F now provides Derate and Assumed Temperature (ATM) performance data!

I'm having an issue where the foot brakes are not working. Parking brakes are working fine and stop the aircraft when applied, but when i apply the brakes, although i get the red brakes message from P3D, nothing happens. I've tried configuring the brakes through P3D itself and FSUIPC, and the same every time - red brakes message, but no braking action on the plane itself.

I usually download liveries from pmdg site now the direct me to operation center on my computer where they ask me to buy the plane again tell me what to do ?.

Since change of graphics card and driver the track line on the ND does not follow the set track . The AC is flying the saved route but the ND shows a heading 20 degrees or so to the left of the track actually being flown. Do I need a reinstall.? PMDG 747-400 on FS9 David Ireland (UK)

Hello there. I have installed 747 8 and there is no EFB and there is 16 pages in Equipments page. And also when I enter my T.O Flaps in FMC Take off page FMC Goes like black, V speeds dissapear, after that when I press "Menu" on FMC everything on FMC Dissapears except the PMDG Setup and FS Action I cannot open them either, please help.

New Air Force One livery for the 748 yet ?

So in my A2A aircraft, the rain effects are dynamic. Wind makes them stream across the glass, in a ..... correct fashion. All I see in the 747 400 is a static animation of splodges. Is it just me or is it meant to be this way ? If it is..... why didn't they just use the free system offered by A2A ? Just a thought.........

Hello, new here. After searching the forums and rest of the internets i couldnt find a solution to this. I cannot enable or get the VSD to show. I clicked CTR twice and VSD doesnt want to show up. Also i went trought the plane settings in the FMC but couldnt find anything related to VSD. Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to resolve an issue where the engines of the 747 don't load textures/livery, often showing as blacked out for a few seconds before the texture/livery actually displays? As an example, using ChasePlane starting with a VC view, then switching to a wing/engine view, there it is.. It's quite distracting. I suspect it's some resource issue, but it'd be great if there's a simple settings fix/tweak to address it perhaps. I saw it with my previous CPU but was rather hoping my upgrade to an i7/8700 might see it off. What I don't get is that neither CPU nor GPU are maxxing out, suggesting a bottleneck somewhere perhaps. Faced with the problem: 747-8f during approach (nearby 3000ft) shutting down all engines for a several seconds. RAT was unlocked. After several seconds engines start work normally. Without any action from my side. This happened twice a day. after short flight, and after 6 hours flight. Any ideas what is was?
