One question - if I understand GPL3 license well, there is no problem for using LNM in other projects (not only for development purposes)? Here are my last two medial projects: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I4Ge95rJ8HI&list=PLlL5wMXt5YPU7urKGThDrBPlahm7TVCrh The LNM was used in movies #00 and #10. BTW as you can see it's possible "drawing" in this app, only it's slightly hard 🙂 I'm asking only for formal purposes, wouldn't like to remove movies later because of license violation. Regards, Piotr

I have added the RNAV waypoints to an LNM flight plan. When I export the flight plan to Xplane .fms file those added waypoints are not exported. Is there a way to do this? It would be useful because I have to manually insert the waypoint names along with their altitudes. -tia Bill Bennett

I'm doing some testing to see if a tablet or 2nd laptop displaying a LNM web page can help me locate bush flying landing strips better. I don't care for alt-tab back and forth from MSFS to LNM on my gaming PC. Just wondered if anyone runs their LNM web server in a public way that could be accessed for testing. I'm thinking what I want is for LNM web to display the primary aircraft zoomed in so I can see the plane and intended landing area all the time. Aircraft stays centered and zoomed in to about a kilometer of the next landing field so I can see runway alignment.

After experimenting with the built-in MSFS vfr map and Sky4sim, I see that LNM is far superior in tracking a flight plan and locating remote/rural airports. The main value of the built-in VFR map is it shows other aircraft in our bush pilot group events. Is there a way for LNM to show these aircraft? I don't care at all about seeing AI aircraft.

So I just bought Antarctica X by Aerosoft which is supposed to add a bunch of airports and airstrips to the continent as well as other scenery. I use Little Navmap for flight planning so after installation I had it re-scan the P3D scenery library so it could find the new airports that come with the Antarctica scenery and add them to Little Navmap but after scanning, it doesn't show any on the map at all. I noticed the total number of airports went up but on the map there's still nothing in Antarctica. How do I find these new airports/airstrips and flight plan for them? Is there any way to get Little Navmap to add them to it's map?

Little Navmap is an incredible piece of software for Flightsimmers. For the development of a scenery addon for X-Plane, I have been looking for a way to transfer certain aspects of geological data, which is being provided as maps projected on the globe, to X-Plane World Editor (WED). This is no easy task and requires a lot of handwork, redrawing the important aspects for me onto a globe and then transfer a mercatorlike image and use this as a background in WED. Little Navmap has been the tool of choice for me, since it seems to be the only tool which allows to draw lines in spherical mode and switch to mercator projection if and when desired. Since there is no othe…

Using the SDK I have created an airport near my home. I can go to the World Menu and it shows up there and I can make a flight plan using it. Is there a way that I can make these flight plans using LittleNavMap? Thanks, Roy Warren

Flight plan waypoints window and flight plan calculator altitudes do not match when starting calculation. After setting dep and dest I usually set the desired altitude in the flight plan window but it doesn't get transferred to the flight plan calculator. I know it works from the other direction so the calculated plan altitude is transferred back to the flight plan list but it would be good to have it both ways. Also, it always defaults to 10000 ft. Is there a way to change that? Like remember the last altitude used?

Muchas gracias.

Hi there, I am new around here I have enjoyed using Little Navmap to make my flight plans but i seem to have run into a minor issue. When i select my departing airport such as KOKC I can't seem to find depature procedures for that specfic airport or the nearest airport to that would be KTUL and that airport won't show depature procedures as well. I just recently updated to the newest version of Little Navmap but even after trying and attempting to use an older version such as 2.8.5 I still can't seem to pull up depature procedures for that airport. I know that airport has depature procedures because on the older version and before updating i was able to pull them up and u…

A few days ago I went go to measure some distance just to find out that it doesn't show any info on the measure line. I believe this occurred right as I started using the dark theme but changing back to the light theme doesn't seem to fix anything. I've gone through the settings and can't find anything related to toggling the distance measure info on/off. I haven't changed much settings recently anyways. There is a way to see the distance, but only when I right-click on the line and hit "Remove distance 39nm". However, if I want to loosely get an estimate of distance between two points without anchoring a line, it can be a little tedious to do it this way. I hope the answ…

Hello Alex! It seems I've found the kind of "bug" that is caused by Laminar's inconsistency between IDENT field and ICAO code field. Because of the unknown reasons LR doesn't change IDENT field when ICAO code is changed (IDENT is the primary key in LR's airports database and their scenery gateway), so for some airports these fields've got quite different ICAO designators (IDENT field's got old ICAO designator, ICAO code field's got new ICAO designator). IMHO it implies in flight plans should be always used ICAO code field not IDENT, but in Little Navmap for exports is used IDENT field. It was checked under exports to IVAO fpl, XP11/XP12 fpl and old style X…

I have been renewing with this wonderful app and want to make it my preferred choice for MSFS usage. For the last few days, I have been looking at YT videos and playing around the menus and icons of the app. I also installed Google Maps which I like very much. Everything is working fine except for the Map Theme and Projection icon and the Userpoint for display icon. When I clicked on one of these 2 icons, the drop down lists appear on my main monitor eventough the LNM app opens correctly on my second monitor because I moved it there (so I can keep an eye on my plane when flying my plane in MSFS which runs on my main monitor) Can someone help me in fixing this …

I have a query regarding importing scenery data from FS2020, particularly when FS itself ins installed on a separate drive, and with reference to importing airports which were added within World Updates. I play on Xbox - and don't have a Windows PC, but do have a couple of Macs. I've had LNM installed on my Mac - but due to not having (or being able to install FS2020) on a mac, I've been limited to the included Navigraph Scenery Library... which is AIRAC cycle 1801... and is massively out of date with respect to procedures in particular. As such, and specifically to load the FS2020 scenery Library into the LNM db (to then copy to my mac installation) I hav…

I opened up a topic in MSFS forum "Wishlist" to "Add the ability to upload Little Nav Map flightplans to MSFS" I love using LNM for flightplanning. As you probably know a .pln file exported from LNM and opened up on the flightplanning page in MSFS will strip out any SIDs, STARs and approaches contained in the flight plan. One needs to re-add these once inside the simulator. Its a needless double step. Allowing the lnmpln file to open in the game would solve this. Another option is to improve the pln file to accommodate the SID, STAR and approach. If you would like to add this feature to MSFS please vote. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/add-th…

When I press button "show holdings" (near "show MSA sectors" button), unfortunately all procedural holdings are displayed as standard pattern - right handed. I've encountered such a situation during arrive to SKBO, over AMVES fix point there is left handed holding with inbound 135 (according charts) but under LNM it's displayed as right handed. I've checked this inside earth_hold.dat file and all holdings are described correctly, only seems LNM ignores turn direction and displays all as right handed. Is this intentional or a bug in the program? Regards, Piotr ps. manually entered holdings are displayed correctly, of course 🙂

Hi Alex, this is just a suggestion for any future update, if you think it's manageable: - maybe the export options of flightplans (which formats of flightplans will be exported, to what folder - when you click on the multiexport button) could be connected to the aircraft profile (performance) you chose. This would be a nice QoL feature. So if you e.g. load your PMDG (737) performance profile, it would export the files accordingly. If you use another plane, it uses a different 'export profile'. Thanks for your great work and best wishes.

Hello, I'm not a very experienced LNM user but so far doing well 😅 I often have an issue after saving a Departure Runway. When I load the flight plan in G1000, the runway centerline extension part (in the attached case RWY09+3) shows a curve that is disconnected from the rest of the path. When I try to fly, the plane can't follow the path. If I then replace Select Departure Runway with Select EKBI as Departure Airport, the flight plans shows up ok on the G1000. The above issue doesn't always happen, but seems to be more common in shorter flight plans, like the attached. I have attached screenshots for reference. Any help would be much appreciated…

How in LNM can I get the Flight Plan Leg Time to show seconds? If for whatever reason I actually end up navigating via dead reckoning in poor visibility then only having the leg times to the nearest minute is a 20% margin of error in a five minute leg.

Hi, Perhaps that I didn't discover this, but when flying without any plan over hills and mountains I can't see the height of altitude of the mountains. In FSTramp was this a great feature just by moving your mouse over the landscape etc. Can this be made/facilitated in LNM?

Hello ! Didn't find anything in the search function. In the latest release, if you klick on an airport on the map, the distance to the user plane isn't updated while flying towards that airport. It also doesn't update the heading for that airport . Do I miss a setting, or is it a bug? Thanks in advance from Germany, Scott
