Now a curious thing happens. Whenever I save a Flightplan generated by little Nav plan in P3D v3 documents and attempt to enter it in P3D, the scenery is rebuilt but as soon as it hits the magic 99 to transiton to appearing on the desktop, P3D disappears from the Monitor. In other words it crashes. If I do not load the saved plan all is well. Of course that defeats the purpose of wanting to use little Navmap. I am certain there is a solution and would appreciate some help. thanks a lot. Rolf

Hi everybody, is anybody else getting this error message (see below) when running Little Navmap 1.2.2 (also 1.2.0) on windows 10 home 64 bit. Installed in the windows main folder in the folder Little Navmap, not in the Programs or Programs X86 folders. Reinstalled 1.0.5 on the same windows 10 computer and it worked good. 1.2.2 works good on my windows 7 computer. Error message “The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.” I di try reloading the MS Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package as recommended on some websites for …

Hello Alexander, In the original FSX Nav database (year 2006) the airport EBOS has only one ILS on Rwy 26. Nowaday both runways are equiped with an ILS. After updating the FSX Nav database with the program found on http://www.aero.sors.fr, this problem is solved. In Plan-G I now see both ILS feathers on the map. However in Little NavMap v1.2.0 beta, after rebuilding the scenery library, I only see the ILS for Rwy 26 (109,50 258 degrees). Do you have any idea how come? By the way: I'm really impressed that you have built this excellent program!! Many thanks about that. I wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year I'm looking forward to the updates of …

Hi there, I apologize if this has been asked before but I have searched the forum before posting this. Anyway, here is the point. Options ->> Scenery Library Database tab is a nice feature that allows to exclude unnecessary folders from scanning. But is it also possible to add external BGL locations not included in scenery.cfg? Eg., I have a folder with BGLs of worldwide waypoints / fixes that I would like to use in flight planning only. In fact, they're useless in the sim since I do my flight planning before launching FSX and use in-flight GPS with updated navdata from 3rd party addons, which still depict waypoints even if they are unavailable in FSX. B…

AI and multiplayer aircraft can be seen on the map now. Tooltips show information about these guys and if you click on them you can see more details in the "Simulator Aircraft" dock window. You can also see departure and destination for AI and multiplayer aircraft. If you click on the blue links the map will jump directly to one of the airport (PHNL and CYVR below). The size of AI and user aircraft is configurable. Wingspan is also shown. This will get more interesting below. The small yellow one in the crowd: That's you. AI on the ground shows only up when zooming closer. Looks a bit like an anthill. Now we get closer into that anthill. …

Hi Alex, I have been using PlanG for years before I found Little Navmap. Now it's my primary flight planner. Thanks for that, simply brilliant, easy and feature-rich!!! One question though - one of the useful features in PlanG was XRef functionality enabling me calculation of distances and bearings from/to a waypoint in flight plan to selected navaids or waypoints along the route (not included in the flight plan). Eg., if the flight route goes between two navaids which are not part of the flight plan, using XRef I'm still able to calculate distance and bearings to/from these navaids for better spatial navigation. Is it possible to implement XRef feature in Lit…

I am doing something wrong. I installed the latest version 1.2. Also installed the latest navmapconnect. Updated the Scenery library. Created a flightplan - CYSJ CAAPE ARDEE CYHZ. The connection is in place with simulator. I take off up to planned FL 050 and press NAV try HDG and AP but the plane does not follow the flightplan but instead heads for 330 degrees. I tried an EMB 300 as well and no luck. I used Flightsim Commander 9 before and all I needed to press is the auto heading and it followed the plan. I suspect I am missing something simple. I am running P3D v3. and Windows 10. I look forward to receiving some assistance. Thank you. Rolf

As some of you might have noticed Little Navmap version 1.0.5 stopped updating the OpenTopoMap (https://opentopomap.org). The reason is that the OpenTopoMap now forces SSL (i.e. HTTPS / encrypted connection) and Little Navmap does not support this yet. The problem is already fixed in the current develoment and the fix will go into the next release. Alex

Thanks for Little Navmap Alex - loving it  Is there any way to only display the filtered airports on the map? Also, is it possible to save filtered searches? e.g. I find FSDG airports using %fsdg in the Scenery Path field. Also .... have you considered adding functionality to randomly generate routes for FROM and TO airports using search criteria, e.g. 300 nm from YBBN etc ? Hope this makes sense  Thanks Belinda

I'm using LittleNav with FSX, so perhaps it doesn't apply to me, but can someone explain the usage and location of the 'Path to NavData'. Perhaps in anticipation of Navigraph support? Also, on a more personal note, would it be possible to add skins or a way to modify the color scheme?. I'm a Windows 7 user and the Win 8.1 and Win 10 flat app look isn't always visually appealing.. Thanks, Ernie

Hi, hope some-one can help or advise me. I Had used LittleNav on FSX and been able to create and load a flight plan but after having to do a complete re-install of Win7 then a complete re-install of FSX I am now finding that after succesfully creating a flight plan with LittleNav then saving it, when I go to Flight Planner in FSX and select the flight plan I saved it will not load into FSX. Not sure why as previously I had no trouble with it. LittleNav is an excellent flight planner and will go to say that is the best programme I have used so hoping that somebody could advise me how to get FSX to load the flight plan I have created. Regards Nigel.

Little Navmap 1.4 is done now except if some major bugs show up. Next version is 1.6. You can have a look at the GitHub issue list if you'd like to have some insight into the plans and progress of Little Navmap. This is the current task list for all future releases of Little Navmap. The list contains bugs, ideas and suggestions coming from the community and myself. Closed issues are not listed. Here you can see all features planned for the next release 1.6. This list contains completed tasks and bugs for the next version 1.6 which are still open. The list is an optimistic approach and list will change. If you like to participate you can get a GitHub accou…

Dear fellow flight sim enthusiasts, After going through a bumpy beta phase Little Navmap seems to be well received (at least that is my impression) and deserves its own support forum now. This forum should be the central place to discuss problems, ideas, suggested improvements or anything to do with my programs. A very big thank you to Avsim for providing this forum for free. This forum will also be used to give feedback to you - the users - about the current development status. We (Paul and I) will post screenshots from the latest features I'm cooking into the software while Paul and a few other people are putting it through hoops to look for bugs. Paul will also be …
