The measurement tool seems to display values to the nearest NM and Degree. Sometimes it shows 2 degree values.

Is there a way to have it display more precision? In particular the Radial degrees?

I'm using it for old-school VOR RNAV, and finding I need more precision for longer distances.

I followed a YouTube video which took me to several CSV files each with a large list of Helipads. The list was compiled using data from Open Street Maps and one other source I can't quite remember. I downloaded the CSV file, installed it into Little Navmap, and they all became visible on the map.

However, most of them cannot be specified as a departure or a destination. Is there some trick to this. Only some of them are at airports. A large number of them, worldwide, however, are not near airports.

Any tricks for getting the helipads to allow departure and destination settings? Am I missing something?

The Comprehensive Illustrated Guide to Little Navmap:
400+ Pages (206 double-spreads)

	Hi everyone,

I'm excited to finally announce the release of a project that has been my full-time focus for the past several months: A Complete Practical Guide to Little Navmap.

As many of you know, Alexander Barthel's Little Navmap is an incredible piece of freeware that has become an essential part of the X-Plane ecosystem. However, its professional-grade depth can be a bit daunting for new users, and even veterans often find hidden features they didn't know existed.

With the express permission and blessing of Alexander Barthel, (he has written the forewordin the book), I have written this 400+ page e-book to serve as the ultimate "how-to" companion to the official documentation.

	What sets this guide apart?

While the official manual is an excellent technical reference, this book is built around a practical, visual workflow. I've focused on the "how" and "why" of flight planning:

Heavily Illustrated: Nearly every one of the 400+ pages features high-resolution screenshots and diagrams. If you've ever wondered "What does this button actually do?" or "How do I sync my X-Plane 12 scenery library?"—it's in here.

Structured Learning: We move from basic installation and interface setup into real-world flight planning scenarios, covering everything from VFR hops to complex IFR procedures.

Deep Dives: Detailed explanations on fuel planning, understanding TOC/TOD calculations, and mastering the moving map for better situational awareness.

A Complete Visual Glossary: A massive section dedicated to demystifying the icons and terminology used throughout the program.

	Built for the X-Plane/MSFS/Prepar3D/FSX Pilot

The e-book is equally valuable to all pilots opf the major simulators - this guide ensures your simulator and Little Navmap are working in perfect harmony. My goal was to create a structured path that takes the "overwhelming" out of the equation and replaces it with confidence.

This has been a labor of love and a massive undertaking. I hope it helps the community get even more utility out of what is arguably the best flight-planning tool available to us .

Community folder?

With MSFS2024, I would like to have Littlenavmap load some scenery/navaid .bgl's into its database, so that I can see the NDBs contained therein on the map display.

I notice in the LNP FAQ there is a line that says,

Different NDBs with the same name and region cannot be loaded due to the limitations of SimConnect. Example BM/UH. This can break airways or procedures in some cases.

...I am not sure if this is the problem I'm running into, or not. I didn't notice anything in the documentation about this, except for the above, but I might have missed something.

In Options|Scenery Library Database, I have selected the MSFS2024 Community folder...to include that folder when loading. Question#1...does selecting the Community folder automatically load data from all folders in the Community folder? Or must I specify each (sub)folder in the add-on's dir structure containing a .bgl?

When I do a Scenery Library|Load Scenery Library, I have the same number of NDB's loaded, whether I have this add-on installed, or not installed (!), which makes me think I'm doing something wrong. -- Question#2 -- if the above not the correct place to specify LNP to load the navaid bgl's?

The add-on whose NDB's I'm trying to load is called "NDB World", not that this should matter, but I'm noting it just to show that it's NDB's in .bgl files I'm trying to load into LNP.

I recently had to download LNM again due to an issue with my PC.

For my PMDG 737 flights I used to use the Multi-Export Flight Plan button to save flight plans into the 737 Config / Flightplans folder and these would show up in the FMC.

I notice now that the Multi-Flightplan Options button is there but the Multi-Export Flight Plan button is now greyed out. So I can now longer save the files to the previously used location.

I have been flying with LNM for quite some time, probably since your first release, but this last week I have developed a problem with my aircraft not being tracked. I see my VATSIM red shadow, but not the yellow craft. Navconnect shows connection, LNM shows connection, but the Simulator Aircraft window does not show the aircraft and that it is connected. It says "Prepare the flight and load your aircraft in the simulator to see progress updates." All this is done and flight is in process. None of my setup has changed to the best of my knowledge. I have tested the internet and the wireless connection without any problems showing. Anybody have any ideas? Please not the obvious I probably have already checked it.

Hello, I'm experiencing the same issue that is described in this thread:

I'm wondering if there is any new insight on it. I tried deleting the WidgetDockHandler and that did seem to fix the issue, but then it returned and when I went back to the ini file, it didn't seem to have a WidgetDockHandler field.

Renaming the ABarthel folder to generate a new profile does "resolve the issue" but I am really, really, really not looking to start over again with LNM right now.

I tried even copying in the WidgetDockHandler content from the new profile's ini file to the other ini file, but that didn't seem to do anything.

Alex mentions old monitor configuration in that previous thread. I did have to do a NVIDIA driver purge and reinstall on a three monitor setup and I do think the problem started pursuant to that action.

Anyway, at this point, I'm mostly resigned to starting over, as I really need something usable before my stream tonight. But would gladly accept any advice about either fixing the original problem or what I might be able to safely grab from the renamed old profile to spend less time setting up the new one. Thanks.

When clicking through airpaces they are shown on info tab. When clicking in an area with no viewable airspaces the info tab should be cleared or show something like "no airspaces here". Now I cannot always be sure if an airspace is there or not.

Second I suggest to show airspace altitudes top down, so switching the upper and lower limits to read top down (eg Class C 14000 MSL | 8000 MSL // Class D 8000 MSL 5500 MSL etc.) instead of (Class C 8000 MSL | 14000 MSL // Class D 5500 MSL 8000 MSL etc.)

I am new to Little Navmap but I am slowly learning it and loving it. I am also slowly learning how to fly. I started out learning how to do IOLS approaches and was able to producr proper flight plans and fly them successfully.

Now I have moved on to learning how to do RNAV approaches. Pretty simple process that I think I understand fairly well.

However, when producing a flight plan in little navmap for an RNAV landing at the destination, I don't see runways identified as RNAV. I see RNP, and after some reading on the internet, I thought RNP is how Little Navmap specifies RNAV runways.

But when I try to use one in my flight plan and then fly the plan, I don't seem to ever be able to hit the VNV button on the G1000 and get VPATH to come on in the PMD display. That makes me think I have not actually specified am RNAV runway.

Obviously, you can tell I am confused and would love someone to explain to me how to properly identify RNAV runways in Little Navmap and if the RNP designator is actually for RNAV, then am I never able to hit the VNV button and get it to activate?

On another note, I have had the hardest time getting the .pln files from Little Navmap to load properly. Runways and other stuff never seen to load correctly. However, I read in an internet thread that if you export the plan into Simbrief and then load it from there in the sim, it will load correctly. I have found that in mosat cases this actually works. Not sure why just loading the .pln file directly has so many issues.

Your help understand the RNAV part of building Little Navmap flight plans would be greatly appreciated.

	Thanks all .... Rob

Any ideas what's going to happen with LNM for MSFS2024? Support for PLN files seems mostly 'deprecated' by Working Title in favor of their in-game 'EFB' tablet talking directly to their in-game Garmin panels. The World Map 'load PLN' option has gone. The EFB tablet is supposed to have a 'load PLN' button but this looks like it's only just been added as an afterthought (the button still shows its 'reference' title instead of the expected label text) and everything in the PLN gets thrown away except for the lat/long of each waypoint.

Is it possible to read En-route/Aloft temperatures in LNM?

I sometime fly airports not in other plan tool's database, and need both distance, enroute average wind and ISA deviation for more precise fuel calculation. the distance and wind read in Fuel Report tab is great, but I can't find ISA deviation.

Is there any way to read it in LNM?(I know it's in ActiveSky, but I didn't use it for XP12 now) if not in current version could it be added? Thanks.
