ChasePlane Support

Hello! I am unable to use pan view (hat switch of Saitek Yoke) with MJC Q400. (Hat switch is configured in Control Assignements for Tilt and Pan). It works well with other airplanes. Any idea? Matt

I must be missing something or just dumb. How can I controll the camera speed in outside view. I understand that it is in camera/advanced section but what tab? I use an xbox controller. I have tried them all but no change in the camera speed. /Thomas

I have issue with TIR that causes onboard camera to reset randomly for one frame making the view "flash" nastily. I didn't have it when I first time installed ChasePlane about week ago. It actually began after updating P3D v4 hotfix 1. But reverting back to release version did not help. Reinstalling everything did not help either. Everything seems to be ok without using TIR, or using TIR without ChasePlane. I don't have "reset view when TIR is offline" option on. I have tried this with both stable and experimental version. Both have the same issue. I have also tried it with Windows 10 Game Mode on and off.

Hello there, Sorry for posting again about views, but in the v0.3.11, my views keep snapping back and forth. They keep like switching from different views to another without pressing any buttons. Any advice? Thanks, Will.

I attempted to start a flight today, and when the plane loaded up, all of my preset views were zoomed out and distorted as if looking through a wide angle lens. Wide-view was checked in the P3D settings. If I turn it off, it is then zoomed in closer than were it was preset at before. It happens to every airplane that I have. I have tried to restart the sim and Chaseplane multiple times but nothing has fixed it. I tried to check the "recheck configuration files" in the preferences tab but selecting the button does nothing. I was on exp version .311 I believe, and tried to revert to 3.5 beta, and that didn't fix the problem. I had similar problem a week ago, and when…

As I cycle through onboard presets, I see flashes of exterior view between onboard presets. This new for me in P3D v4 which I did not experience in FSX thanks Sean

I just purchased ChasePlane and I am really enjoying it, except for one issue. On the ground, ChasePlane functions perfectly normal and what not, but right when the wheels lift off, it seems that the camera is very glitchy moving around and frequently will take a second or two to even move to a different view when I press the key for it. Moving around the camera with my hat switch produces a very laggy effect as well, yet the sim itself, is running very smoothly with no stutters. Please let me know what I can do to solve this issue, thanks!

hello now do i turn off chaseplane from cycling through views when I leave the pc unattended. Its a cool feature. I just want to turn it off. Many thanks

Hi, I decide to move from EZDOK to Chaseplane. I really love the UI but it makes fps drop and stutter. Normally I got about 30-40 FPS on the ground and when in the air but when chaseplane was run fps will drop to 15 or even 9 !!! so i close chaseplane and the fps come back immediately ! How can I fix it ? Sorry for bad english

Hi Keven, Firstly ChasePlane is a great add-on. 1st time using add-on camera system and really appreciated it. A must have. Congrats! The bug am experiencing is a major drop in FPS while using CP specially with complex big aircraft like the PMDG 777. I achieve 25 to 30 fps while normal use but with chase plane fps drops to 10-15 and even less. Exiting CP while FSX is running with aircraft on the ground or in mid air restores FPS to 25-30. Maybe this issue can be investigated. Regards, David

I had presets for about four AC working fine. Saw the auto update and now all my presets are not working properly. eg. I pan left and suddenly it snaps back. Perhaps it has something to do with new instructions to settings. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to go back and clear presets out and redo. Anybody else having this issue? Thanks, Beck

Whenever I click fly now, chaseplane starts me in outside view, situated inside the cockpit, looking at very low resolution panels. I have to go back outside and then back inside again to get the normal view. Running FSX:SE.

Hi, I haven't used Static Cameras so far, so I wanted to give it a try today. But realised that it doesn't work for me. The list is empty no matter which airport I tried. Also when I click "Scan Airports" or "Regenerate Airport Data" in Preferences, Chaseplane crashes. See pictures below. I run experimental version in P3Dv4, HF1. Any idea what's wrong?

Hi guys - I just discovered the new Tower Controller position in P3Dv4 that can be chosen in the airport menu (pretty neat!). It appears every time I try to start in this location ChasePlane crashes. I get a box saying 'Chaseplane has stopped working' and it just shuts down. I have tried to restart it while in this same location and it shuts right back down. I assume it is because there is not an aircraft involved? It isn't a huge deal but it would be neat to utilize Chaseplane as without it there appears to be no way to look around or change your viewing direction. Thanks!

Good afternoon, from the beginning I fell in love with Chaseplane, I am in the version 0.2.64 Alpha Exp., I never had problems, now he is not loading properly the saved cameras, the position is right but the zoom is not, when having to change through the chaseplane It does not change anything, it changes in the options of camera and it does not move, I can not configure new cameras, I never had problems now it is presenting, I use the PD3 v3, I installed V4 but I am not using it yet, what is happening?

I have Saitek Flight Yoke, I can not enable the Hat Switch, only the mouse, I want to be able to look sideways like in the mouse but in the Hat Switch, when I disable the Global, I get the free vision in the Hat Switch, but the saved views do not work .

I find that pressing the mouse wheel to navigate around the screen causes a lot of issues...it's hard to find the correct pressure to initiate movement, either too hard or too soft. Many youtube videos where CP is used illustrate this as the CP menu appears unintentionally throughout the clips. I can recall a flightsim platform that I used in the past(not sure which one) allowed navigation around the screen by holding the keyboard spacebar and the left mouse button together provide fluid, definite navigation. Is it possible in CP to assign these combinations to navigate around to replace the current mouse wheel setup OR is there another way to set up screen navi…

Hi I ran Chase Plane today after updating to P3D v4 Hotfix 1 and the app updated itself, however I now get the following error messages when launching. Very much enjoying my first experiences with Chase Plane with P3d v4. I have started creating some presets for the default A36 and PMDG 747-400 and set the various advanced tab sensitivity sliders to my liking for transition and mouse look speeds. To appeal to my OCD tendencies, is there a way to set these to a specific value - they are quite difficult to get all the same and the numbers don't seem clickable as they are with some other sliders. Also, is there a way to carry these slider positions over to other aircraft, ie. make them 'global'? As far as I can see they are only specific to the camera set I am using at the time. Luke

Here's my initial contribution: 1) It'd be great to have the "boost" feature reversed - where all movements are [temporarily] *slowed* when the active key is pressed/toggled. This would be great for those final positional tweaks. 2) Labelling for the movement functions are incorrect, IMHO. Hi, whenever I re-scan (regenerate) airport data it takes about 24 minutes, 22 minutes of this is taken up with airport NXWD which crawls along in 0.01% increments. Anyone else have this? Thanks.

Some of this has already been reported, my problem is that following the latest update V0.3.5 when FSX is closed VFXCentral and ChasePlane do not close. Task Manager shows them running and closing manually is not a problem but why should I? As previously stated restarting FSX brings up a message that FSX is still running when in fact it is not. My only option has been to reboot the computer and start afresh. Can we please change ChasePlane to a more stable update and have the software dudes fix what is really a very good program. Thanks.
