ChasePlane Support

I have a three (4K) monitor setup, which is configured to use viewgroups in P3Dv4, where the monitors are set at a specific angle (50 deg). To achieve the correct views out of the two side monitors the zoom value is fixed at 1.2 for this configuration, (and remains so as views are changed) but the eyepoint etc can be adjusted. This works fine and I use viewgroups exclusively. However, with Chaseplane installed and with viewgroups switched on I seem to be having issues when switching presets, especially when switching from onboard to outside, I suspect because the zoom setting is changing, but this may not be the only cause. I think Chaseplane is causing a crash of the sim (it just disappears with no trace in AppCrashView) with the DC-6. Every time I fly I get a CTD but today I turned off CP and had no problems. Is this something you could look into? thanks.

Hi is there any way to get Trackhat to work again? It used to work fine with Chaseplane using Opentrack. Now it only works if I turn off Globally enable. Vincent

I've stopped using ChasePlane for almost two weeks now, hoping a fix would have been found for my issue. Sad to say I still have no Pan in Cockpit View using my Saitek Cyborg joystick :-(

since new update unable to pan views nor move up and down. is it a known problem?

None of my assigned joystick buttons function anymore. I am using a Logitech Extreme 3D pro. Everything was fine until I updated to 0.3.42. Reverting to non-experimental version fixed issue.

Hi, I'm looking at buying ChasePlane and can't find the answers on the product website, hope someone here can help? I would like to know: 1. Does ChasePlane use simconnect? 2. Does ChasePlane change/remove any TrackIR files? 3. Does ChasePlane automatically disable (pause) TrackIr when switching to external views and then automatically enable (unpause) TrackIr when switching back to Virtual Cockpit views? Any help will greatly assist my buying decision.

Keven - Installed ChasePlane in P3Dv3 which was previously running EZDoc. The Installer reported it was disabling EZDoc. Started TrackIR. Then P3Dv3 with Chaseplane auto launching. Green ""+TrackIR" was on in the gui. I was able to import .ecs files I'd previously saved for my airplanes. After assigning keys and preferences all seems to work fine. However; I notice that if P3D launches a scenario using these former EZDok airplanes, EZDok gets launched concurrently. If I kill EZdok, the Chaseplane cameras still work but the TrackIR connection is disabled - though ChasePlane still shows a green "+TrackIR" connection. So apparently with my former EZDok import…

Recently purchased Chaseplane, and having fired it up I notice that in the cameras.cfg file, the onboard, outside, static and gimbal cameras use camera select hotkeys 1, 6, 5 and 8 respectively. However it's not clear what key assignments are associated with 6, 5, and 8, (if any!). So here's my first dumb question, probably at the head of a long list! Up to now, In order to use the camera hotkeys for any additional cameras that I might introduce, I have allocated Camera Select Hotkeys 5 to 9 to the key combinations CTRL+F5 to CTRL+F9, regardless of whether they are used in any scenario, just for c…

Hi, I have just installed the latest update, how when i hold the middle mouse button to look the camera immediately points straight down so I am looking at the seat....this happens every time. Please Help

Hi, When i start P3Dv4 it is removing EZCA2 camera entrys in P3Dv3 and putting in Chaseplane Cameras ? I want to have EZCA2 in V3 and Chaseplane in V4 Thanks Michael Moe

Good day simmers. Just wondering how I can get my hat switch on my joystick to pan around the VC cockpit with Chaseplane closed. It seems when I close Chase plane I can't pan around the aircraft with my hat switch anyone tell me how to fix this? I've checked my controls in the sim and the hat switch is set to pan in the sim but it's not working. Thanks

It just started happening today, whenever I launch ChasePlane, it pops up with a window saying 'It looks like something unexpected occured. Please send the following error code at [email protected] (ConnectionClosed) Sorry for the inconvenience. I am using P3D v4 and never had this problem before. I am using 0.285 Experimental version. Hi, I have this strange problem: when panning in virtual cockpit. My hatswitch acts as expected. When I change to aircraft view, I can not pan around my aircraft, my left and right switch just do that: move directional to the left or to the right. The hatswitch is activated in the chase plane control panel. Any advice will be much appreciated Jos

Hey hey Guys, Just a short Question. After i browsed the fselite newspage i've seen a Trailer for the new Version of FS2Crew NGX. In that Trailer at exactly the 1:10 Min mark the Plane is ready for Landing with a fantastic shaking Effect. I would love to know wich Sliders in Chase Plane i have to use to get such an Effect. I am having an issue with Chaseplane. Yesterday, it was working fine. Today it wouldn't load either on startup, or manually. Nothing would show up or if it would, the CP splash screen would open and then an error message would pop up and say "time out". I decided to do an uninstall/reinstall and now I can't download it. Hi together, first of all, thank you for the great tool, without which I can no longer fly! but i have just a little "problem" with the Control Assignment Page. I use for example LCTRL+LSHIFT+F** etc. for some funktions, but the columns are some pixels to small and i see only LCTRL+LSHIFT... Is there a option to expand the columns for longer key assignments? Unfortunately, I can not see what I have assigned for what.

I have VFXCentral installed and today I purchased chase plane. I used VFXCentral to install it and after the install, I clicked on the desktop icon to run it and I got this error: It looks like something unexpected occurred. A log file will be sent to FSFX Packages automatically. Sorry for the inconvenience. Any ideas to get this running? I have it installed in P3Dv4. thanks Doug

Good afternoon! I made the purchase of the ChasePlane, I received the email with the serial number but, when entering, it seems that "The serial you entered is already activated". But when I activate in VFXCentral, I can not download ChasePlane because the same error occurs. I would like this to be solved as soon as it was paid!

hello all. i have recently started having an issue with chase plane, where every view continually pans out to 0.3 zoom. when ever i zoom the view back in it instantly zooms back out. i have looked through all the settings and cannot find any reason for this Any help would be appreciated.

Hello to you all, I want to make a new account, because I can only use CP on one pc. I understand that. So I will buy a new package especially for my VFR flights. But on this pc I have made a hudge camera's and settings for them. I am afraid that when I buy a package for my VFR flights, that I will loss all of these settings. Is there a way to save them and import them into this new package. Before I remove the current package and replace it (install it) with the new one, how can I save all of my settings and use them afterwards? I would be more happy if I can use only one account for both pc's instead of making a new account and having to follow some tricky way…

Hi everyone, I am using the CP in stable mode. The problem is , when I first jump in to the VC I can push or turn every knob. However once I change the view (i.e. radio stack) and come back to Captain view I cannot touch any button nor knob. I already tried to change my viewpoint by zoom+, zoom- or laterally but no solution. Is there anybody facing the same problem? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance , Hakan
