ChasePlane Support

I have noticed for a while now and not thought much of it, but most of my light aircraft, eg the Baron, seem to vibrate and shake most of the time, on the ground and in the air. All my settings are at default atm, turbulence is switched off in Prepard3D V4, this occurred in V3 as well. No issues when flying the heavies, (hardly an issue actually) but I would like to know if its normal at default? Thanks Pete

Win 10/FSX-SE/CP v0.285 ex Do all airports in static view work? The reason I ask, at EHAM when selecting a Gate or Rwy all I view is a black screen with a spattering of white spots. I tried a selection of other airports EGCC EGKK VHHH KJFK which all work just fine. Tks Don

Hello, today I upgraded to a Thrustmaster Warthog stick & throttle to use with P3Dv4. They both seem to work fine, drivers are up to date and P3D sees them just fine, but I can't get ChasePlane to recognize either one. When I go to Control Assignments I can't get it to assign any axis or buttons. The keyboard and mouse work just fine. I've even gone so far as to remove and reinstall ChasePlane. For what it's worth, I was using a Saitek X-56 HOTAS setup, but they died. I removed all my key bindings for that controller and used an old MadCatz controller for a few days. Hello, Currently I have purchased CP and configured it with Xbox controller on my P3Dv4. I was thinking to build and add a home made switching panel for more custom cameras. I saw this card (ARDUINO MEGA 2560 R3 INTERFACE CIRCUIT I/O CARD WITH USB CABLE) and was thinking of it as a good interface to directly connect it to my PC. I just do not know if it will be detected as a joystick and the buttons setup will be straight forward as with the Xbox controller. Can anyone help with this please? Sincerely, Moshe

Now with static cams once you are near the ground the behaviour of the cam changes and act as a person walking (walkaround mode) it's great but i would like to be able to disable this from time to time , is there any way to do this ? i searched a bit but found nothing

Hi everyone, I'm testing the waters with Chaseplane, and am on my first long-haul in the 777 in v4. I've noticed that occasionally the view will go from the vc to the spot and clicking my assigned button to return it to default doesn't work unless I cycle through the views by hitting the "s" key a couple of times. Anyone have any idea what causes the view to change like this? Thanks, John

This morning, Chaseplane automatically updated itself to version 0.2.118 After starting FSX Chaseplane crashed. Extremely briefly, there seems to appear a message that Chaseplane is not available for FSX at the time. However this message appears so briefly that it's almost impossible to read the text. I had this problem once before and after unboxing the 'Experimental versions" it got back to a working version of Chaseplane. This time however, wether I unbox it or not, it keeps loading the 0.2.118 version after restart resulting in another crash. I have sent my crashlog to Chaseplane but did not reecive any answer so far.

Since the latest update(today) none of my presets are loading correctly!! Also the old problem with mouse look occurs! In the control section i can't change anything... Max

Hello! I'm trying to use the cinematic mode on the PMDG 747 but the camera is way to close to the plane. I have the Zoom offset set to 0, if I set it to -5 I am able to see the whole plane but everything is distorted because it's zoomed out to much.

Hi, I have looked and can't seem to find a solution for this. I would like to permanently change the transition curve and timing to a setting that I have found to my liking over the last 3 months. I dont want to have to change it from the default every time I make a new view. Is there a way to do that? If there is I have missed it in the draft manual and it hasn't come up in my searches here, I am sure someone can point out the process if it exists please? Thanks

Hi, I have an outside view setup that is high above my plane, so I can pan around an airport from a vantage point using my mouse to pan. But when I pan the view tilts (Rolls) the scenery, is there a way to correct this so it will pan level ?. I know the setting in camera settings is only for "Mouse & Tilt" on or off. I am running experimental version 0.2 .108, and P3D v4. Thanks, John.

FSX-SE - CP v0.2.102 I notice a number of other aircraft listed at the bottom of the active aircraft listing, under Your Other Aircraft. These aircraft were once in my system but have been deleted. Hi all, I'm having an issue with ChasePlane since 2 or 3 days : The software starts normally, connect to P3D when this one is starting, but as soon as the flight is launched, CP crash immediatly... I've tried versions 0.2.50, 0.2.108 and today 0.2.118. The only difference is with v0.2.50, CP doesn't crash and close, but the connect symbol (top left corner of the window) blink between red and green rapidly. I haven't change anything between before and after the crash appears, except installation of Heron's Nest 2 scenery from iBlueYonder, that is uninstalled now. Also when I click on "Regenerate Airport Data", CP says "scenery.cfg not found". The scenery.cfg…

Hello Chaseplane users and staff. I have recently been updated to v0.2.113 and have started to have problems with the views after them being stable in the previous updates. The views keep resetting and inverting to what I set them as. Is there a setting that I'm missing to stabilise the views or is the problem something to do with the update. Thanks, Will

So as per title, When using a XBOX One Controller and assigning like say the Y Button to a preset view, the view does not change anymore. This feature was still working fine a week ago (so with the initial p3d v4 update). Other controller inputs like buttons on a Saitek Throttle Quadrant are still working fine. It is like the button presses are not intercepted when the simulator is in FOCUS / ACTIVE. The xbox buttons do work when I focus on Chaseplane and push them.

Today I found that I can longer see the On Screen Display info from EVGA Precision in my P3Dv4 window (fullscreen mode). I have been using this utility to display various graphic card data (including framerate and temps) while I get to know how the various sliders in V4 impact performance, but suddenly today no more display in the sim no matter what I do. However I noticed that when I open the Chaseplane window while in the sim, I can clearly see that the EVGA Precision OSD data is being displayed in the Chaseplane box instead! I loved Chase Plane before v4of P3D but I must be doing something wrong. Using v.0.2.102 I get an erratic jumping camera when trying to scroll with the mouse. To the extent I have to shut CP down. I know I must have some setting causing the insane behaviour. Anyone have an idea?

Hi my name is Darren and I'm having some trouble with chaseplane as it is very jerky when I am panning around the cockpit on every plane p3d v4. Did not have this problem in V3. My frame rate with PMDG747 QOSv3 is like 35 to 40fps. So is not the simulator being slow. Wondering if there is a solution to this. Darren Ormond

I am using the latest experimental version of ChasePlane and did a 3 hour flight tonight, and throughout the flight it has disconnected from P3D about 5 or 6 times. I have to constantly exit chaseplane and reload it back up to let it reconnect to the sim. What seems to be the problem with this? Also having issues with it saving my camera settings for like global, mouse, keyboard etc. Doesn't seem to save those settings. It only saves some of the time and not all the time like it should.

Hello, After the software update yesterday (6/1), I've noticed that my xbox controller does not control anything unless the main chaseplane application window is in the foreground of my desktop. Chaseplane appears to stop responding to the xbox controller inputs as soon as I background the window. Thanks, Garg

Guys I have the weirdest problem... Please help, ChasePlane and my P3D v4 has become unusable! Every time the sim window is in focus (being it full screen of not), ChasePlane lags like crazy: I press the "next view" key and it changes views VERY slowly only after 1 or 2 seconds for example. It lags so much that I can't even pan around with the mouse, no reaction. I have this problem with every ChasePlane action: panning with the mouse, panning with the joystick, changing views with the keyboard shortcuts, panning around with Track IR... basically, everything. P3Dv4: I have an issue with ChasePlane displaying parking locations that do not match the actual AFCAD in use (and also unable to search for parking that is part of the active AFCAD). I think ChasePlane is scanning the default airport even when there is a payware airport loaded. The issue could be related to how P3Dv4 stores addon scenery in different disk locations (see below FSDT and many other sceneries stored in C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager\FsDreamTeam\... ) . For example, at FSDT PHNL the cargo parking is A0 A1 B0 B1 C0, etc... and there is no "Parking" greater than 47. ChasePlane is indicating I am "near" Parking 57 (which does not exist in this AFCA…

Good afternoon. On a long haul to SFO from VHHH 60 Miles from TOD chaseplane started to crash i went to reload chaseplane and a update downloaded after 2-3 seconds of it loading chaseplane froze up then the simulator went with it. Any idea's? Thanks
