ChasePlane Support

Well, it's been like a week and a half now since I've owned it, have it on 3.4 and 4 and it's getting better all the time! I have a quick question that no matter what I do I can't figure it out. How do I create a camera or move a camera so I can be outside the plane and inside a terminal building? And another one, is there a tutorial somewhere on how add some doors to your aircraft? I don't have an Xbox controller so it's difficult to move the cameras. Thanks guys and thanks for a great product!

Just trying to configure for P3D v4 and my poor GA planes are shaking like crazy. I narrowed it down to the engine shake effect but seem to be only able to change it one view at a time. How do you make a global change to this effect? thanks.

So here's my issue. Ever since I started using Chaseplane, I've dealt with stuttering / juddering issue when using Chaseplane assigned POV hat controls. Every time I'd move my POV hat to look around, it would just feel juddery, not consistent and just plain awful. I did unbind the POV hat from controls, tried changing CPU affinity to the least used core, different joysticks, clean Windows installations but nothing helped. I stopped using it after a few weeks. Now I come back with the release of V4 and a new version of Chaseplane and the problem persists, unfortunately. I have had this problem for the last 2 days, I have tried to restart my PC multiple times.It happens for both the "On-Board" and "Outside" views.There is a ring turning in the top left corner..which after a new view is created it doesn't stop but keeps spinning. Thanks in advance Lon3Wo1f

Hi! I am using P3D v3.4 with Chaseplane. Recently, there is a new issue. The key assignment will frequently be messed up by itself. It's no longer the key I assigned, rather it became some other weird assignment. I have to close chaseplane and re-execute it then it became normal. But it may happen later.... Any fix for this? Thanks!

Hi, Last night P3D v4 with CP was working fine. In fact, working great. Today I saw that Pete has released an early version of FSUIPC for P3D v4. As a long time user of FSUIPC, I was keen to give it a go. I downloaded and installed the unregistered version. I have subsequently removed the DLL.XML entry for starting FSUIPC due to 'troubles'. Now, when I start P3D v4 and either autostart CP or start CP after P3D is running, two things happen. It takes a long time for CP to start relative to the usual start up time; the 'Initializing Chase Place' message part of startup. I just purchased this and upon launching it for the first time it says this version of ChasePlane doesn't work with P3D v4. :( I thought that people said that it did.

I just moved over from EZDok to ChasePlane and enjoying it so far, however the mouse panning seems to be a bit slow to me. Is there a way I can speed it up? What I mean is when I hold down the middle mouse button to move around the cockpit, it's quite slow to me and I want to make this faster. How would I go about doing that?

I love CP, I really do. I have it installed in 3.4 and now 4. Some problems but that's to be expected with Alpha. Question, I like the way it displays VAS usage in the 3.4 sim but in the V4 sim it shows a smiley face which I thought was cute. Keven, do you plan on implementing some sort of VAS monitoring in P3D V4? Thanks.

I used to be able to push and hold the scroll wheel on my mouse and the Chase Plane Interface/settings would open, allowing for instant adjustment and settings changes, this no longer happens and I now have to open CP outside of the Prepar3D environment. Have my settings been corrupted, if not, will this feature return to CP. It sure makes using CP easier with it.

I can bring up the UI prior to bringing up FSX and all appears normal. When I load a flight in FSX, the upper left corner of the UI turns green, but then freezes. If I click anywhere on the UI, it crashes without giving me a crash file. If I leave the UI open and exit FSX, I briefly get the camera menu, the UI shows the correct aircraft on the top bar, and when FSX closes completely, the UI is unfrozen. Haven't seen anything like this described in the forum.

Hi Keven Do you tick the FSUIPC box in the registry entry setup for Prepar3d v4, isn't the simconnect different in v4 and doesn't use FSUIPC. steve

Getting a black flash on camera change, it seems the higher the settings (in P3D v4) the longer the flash!

Hello Keven and all, I have had Chase Plane now for a few days and have been experimenting with it and really love it. However I have compiled a list of problems I've been having. I don't know if these have been addressed before as there's about a zillion posts so if I repeat any I beg forgiveness. 1. Sometimes when I change planes to one that I have not set up cameras on I cannot get the open ecs file menu, or any menu. When I click on ALL or the other two nothing happens. I have to shut down CP and restart it for it to work. 2. I use the hat switch to pan around both inside and outside. Sometimes it won't pan, it tries to but doesn't it kind of wants to b…

Hello, Great that you support v4 on release but mine doesn't seem to work at all. I cannot move, pan or anything. It just stays still in the sim. No clue why but thought I would let you know.

First of all, I'd like to thank Keven for supporting P3D v4 from day one. Excellent support. Some issues I have so far: 1) When I start the sim CP looking around does not work by holding the middle mouse button. If I close and restart CP it works. 2) CP does not automatically close when I close P3D. I have to manually close it. If more information is needed, please let me know.

Hello, a lot of sites are announcing P3D v4 for very soon and it should be in 64 bits, what about CP ? did you plan something in 64 bits ? Thanks

Last night I tested it out quite a bit in P3D V4 and on too many occasions CP would freeze, I could click on the cameras and nothing would happen. I had to shut it down and restart it.

Hello, I'm running the last version of P3D V3. I've been using ChasePlane for some month now and never had any issues... until today. Since the v0.2.5.4 update, the zoom is not handled by Chaseplane anymore and zooming through ChasePlane has no effect on the simulator. The only way I can zoom in/out is by using the p3d default controls. The same happens for the saved cam position : the zoom stays the one set via the P3D default controls. Please help me... Strange issue here. On landing, right after the main wheels touch the ground the nose instantly drops to the runway. It looks like the screen instantly warps to the nose on the ground. And this only happens with the PMDG 744v3, at EHAM. I have no issues with the 777 or the FSLA320. I am running P3Dv3. When i landed with chaseplane closed, it was fine, so i narrowed down the issue to chase plane. I tried disabling all motion effects for the camera, and no luck. Any ideas?

I know I'm a total newbie but I love this product. While V4 was downloading I ran V3.4 and CP updated, but then all the hard work I did last night was all for naught. All my camera button assignments were gone. It said only a date range of mid May, I didn't even but it till two days ago. Also, all my curves adjustments were messed up. What gives? Will this happen in future? I hope not as I spent hours last night setting them all up.

I am reluctant to migrate from EZDOK1 until this feature is available.

Almost wish we could keep the vas monitor, because I fear that v4 in its current state is a pig and the numbers will be large and outrageous.

On VFXCentral and on the Webside, when i want to activate my Serial Key it says "The serial number you entered was already activated." I do have an OldProp Account: (vatechfx@g***dotcom) it was bought on this E-Mail And what is the "Conformation ID"?

I was told by Keven to run EZCA's config program and tell it to restore files. I have FSX and P3D on the same PC but never use FSX. So when I run the config program it comes up with restoring FSX files and no choice of restoring P3D. But the major problem is it's been running for two hours now. How long does it take to restore cameras? The box tells me I have version 2.0.0.6 but I know I don't have the latest version, EZDok 2, I never bought it, I only have the original with the *.ecs files which I saw on a YT can be imported neatly into Chase Plane. Keven said that if I just uninstall EzDok I could have problems down the line. So I'm stuck. Wh…
