Hi First of all; a fine plane and lots of fun to fly :-) In the back of the Intro manual there is a short list of key commands, but where do I find the rest? Some of the 'standard' commands like 'L' for light dosn't work for me.. Is there a command for the Gyropilot Power, center the turn control knob (the round metal plate) /br Peter Vendelbo

Trying out the DC-6 for FSX now for about two weeks and though I'm hooked to A2A products my love for prop driven planes made me purchase this beauty. It took me some time to get the engines running with or without the help of my copilot. Finally I've made several test flights without to much problems, except for the landings. With all settings ready for landing , the plane doesn't respond when I try to pitch up for the flare. My landing speed is about 110 kts, flaps, trim etc according to the checklist set, but when I gently pull my yoke towards me nothing happens (while in flight it 's response is as might expected) and the plane falls like a brick on the tarmac. …

Hi, I have a problem with the DC6 and my GF yoke . Apparently the DC6 shall not accept this flight yoke in aileron and elevator mode. All other functions on the yoke is working just fine on the DC6 - but there is no respons (contact with DC6 yoke) in pitch and role. Any of you guys have any experience with this problem or just a qualified advice that I can benifit from? Regards Eholck

For the life of me I can't get the red bar to move on the A version, and yet it works flawlessly on the B version. I am running P3DV4. Does anyone have any ideas as to the reason?

I have "game controller" check off in FSX and am trying to use FSUIPC for throttle control. Fsuipc sees the axis, but nothing happens in the DC6. The quadrant works fine if I use FSX control panel. Is the DC6 incompatible with FSUIPC? tony cervone

Hello! Today I tryed to fly PAEN-PAJN -> FL170 two times and after I reached about FL155 my screen go little by little black. I can hear engines running and via AivlaSoft EFB I can see that aircraft moving higher and this point I canselled the flight. Very odd situation Any idea about what could cause this problem? First I think about that this is some extra feature and it's affilate to pressure or my computer is going broken... Earlier flight are gone very well without problem and what new is I started using F1 GTN 650 yestarday. Rolf FSX SE - Windows 10 64 bit

It would make landing the DC-6 a whole lot easier if the copilot calls out the altitude from 500 ft down. Is this a possible option for a next update? Would appreciate that very much. Peter Bleekemolen

We need the possibility to control the switches and levers with external controls, especially due to the fact that fsuipc for p3dv4 don't have the mouse macro ability, it is a pain to control, for example, the autopilots functions and to control the instruments at the same time , we need at least an SDK like others pmdg products has , as to control some offsets , please PMDG !!

It would be nice for those of us who use a six lever throttle quadrant if the DC-6 was able to map engines 1&2 to throttle 1 and engines 3&4 to throttle 2. I know you can do this with FSUPIC but I would prefer to do it P3DV4 axis assignments. Please consider. Thanks, Greg

Hallo Gents, is there really a new microupdate v1.20.8430 for the DC-6 (for FSX)? When I run the OC now update is coming up and the version # 1.20.8418 is named "up-to-date". Thanks a lot for clarification! Rainer Burg

FSX and original install worked beautifully. After micro update, the vc as well as view is dark. I see only the digital numbers. What did I do wrong? The update was performed through the OCenter. It now tells me that the DC6 is fully updated. thanks tony cervone

Last week a number of users noted that there is no sound at all when the DC6 hits the runway, and I understood that PMDG was working on a revision to correct this oversight. Can it be confirmed that this is indeed underway? Thanks for a beautiful aircraft, by the way.

Hi DC6 pilots. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two American Airlines DC6B liveries: 1946 and 1947? Is it just the registrations and one is "Flagship New Hampshire" and the other "Flagship California"? Just curious.

The mechanical interlocking bar for the inverter switches on the overhead panel does not seem to function correctly. The interlocking bar is supposed to allow either switch to be placed in the standby position, but not both at the same time. Currently you can place both inverter switches to standby as the bar is positioned too low to prevent it.

Having stumbled across an absolutely wonderful historic airliner timetable site (http://www.timetableimages.com/ttimages/complete/complete.htm) I did some digging a few months ago during the DC-6 Beta, and asked Pete (the repaint Maestro) to paint up a -6B in Alaskan Airlines colors.... I've fallen in love with the Orbx world, and plan on recreating the entire route system as portrayed in this image from the site cited above. After the flurry surrounding the release, Pete very kindly provided this incredible creature to whisk me from Orbx Portland (how fortuitous) to the far reaches of the Orbx Alaska World. Simply superb stuff! I was so taken with this be…

Hi guys-- Been offline for a little bit due to RW flying duties and came back in to my sim and loaded the -6 and noticed something odd. Lined up on 26L in CYVR for a night sortie; then turned on the red cockpit lights through the manager function and then went outside of the aircraft and noticed that I had what seemed to be a red glow eminating from below the cockpit of both the left and right sides as well as through the top of the cockpit area. This was in the Everts stock livery. Just wondering if anyone has seen similar or is it just me...

Having done a few checkout flights now in the 6 I have begun practicing some of the emergency/failure type scenarios. In that endeavor I had one occasion where I used time acceleration just to get to cruise altitude a little quicker (x4 from 5,000 to 12,000 msl) and set up for some simulated equipment failures etc.. I noticed the BMEP and fuel flow values jumped but MP remained the same. So, now curious, I got to cruise alt leveled off, accelerated, decided to let the AFE set power and run the cruise checklist and tried time acceleration again. Same results, I saw a jump in BMEP and fuel flow, but RPM, MP, temps, pressures etc all remained static. I tried the test with …

I have had the DC-6 for a few days. I followed all the instructions in the manual to setup FSX correctly. The problem is I don't get hardly any tool tips. For example I can hoover over the trim wheel and nothing shows. Next time it might show the trim position. When I hover over switches and knobs I get nothing to tell me what they are or position. Thanks
