Hello! Is there any information about an update for the DC6, for FSX and P3D? I ask about landing sound and I think there where some bugs. I love the plane, just curious. Thanks

Hi Dear All, It's been bothering me for long time now: in original, RW manuals and even in PMDG manuals there are two types of speeds given in the Limitations section. IAS and TIAS. Never encountered TIAS in my long-long RW aviation career. Anybody nows the meaning of TIAS? (Perhaps CAS by today's terminology?) What is indicated on the airspeed instrument, TIAS or IAS? In the "instrument markings" section PMDG refers to KIAS (!??). If we can read IAS on the ASI why do we need another value like TIAS? What is supposed to do with that? I just hope that my questions are clear enough (its late night here after a long day in RW aviation). Appreciate your educate…

Hello. Is the DC6 compatible with the most recent version of XP11. I can not get rit of the head mic in my vs cockpit I also find it very annoying that I don´t seem to be able to find images to attack here to explain in the Insert other media button.

Hi @all, I'm just starting out with LVars and found the DC6_408_obj for the quiet switch of the L/G horn. Unfortunately, I can only press the button visually, but the warning tone remains on. With other switches, such as manual propeller control, automatic or resync, I found the corresponding sound files in the PMDG sound folder. For the L/G horn I found nothing like that. Also the search for a FSUIPC command to switch off the sound was unsuccessful. My question now is: what do I have to do to switch off the sound without pressing the L/G warning horn switch with the mouse? Many thanks for reading all the way up to here Many greetings Uwe Heyer

The DC6 is seriously awesome to fly in X-Plane VR. With some of the new tools being developed by users there are fewer work-arounds required every week. One thing I can't work out how to do so far is start the AFE checklists by a command. Is anyone able to shed some light on how this might be possible? Sparker has just created a VR window that allows you to initiate a command - but what is the command to kick off the AFE actions? I've used DataRef Tool to try to find one but no luck so far. Hello, I've been flying Classic Pistons for about five years off and on. I read through the manuals with a significant amount of intrigue and my understanding is that when the engines are shut down the manifold is exposed to the atmosphere as there is no vacuum caused by the Engine's combustion cycle, as such it should read closely match the altimeter setting. While on the ground reads anywhere between one (1) and three (3) inches more than what I would expect with the engines off. I'm running P3D 4.2 and when launching the DC-6 for P3D v4, I'm getting a pop-up warning stating that I have an incompatible simulator version for this aircraft (v1.20.8484). Is there a true incompatibility, and should I expect any issues resulting from that? Thanks, and I just want to be sure I run the aircraft with self-imposed issues only...

Sigh...this is getting really frustrating for me. I've followed the tutorials to the letter, and none of the engines will catch. I've tried various other methods provided here by fellow simmers, and none of them works! ARGH! I've tried it on multiple liveries, repaired the engines, BUT NOTHING FREAKING WORKS!! I've been sustaining my flights on the panel states and auto-starts provided by PMDG, but it doesn't feel realistic at all. Help? Do I need to reinstall the DC-6? Or is something corrupted?

So this is a preemptive question for folks using the DC-6 in P3D v4.2, have anyone experienced a massive frame rate drop in P3D compared to FSX? I used to have the DC-6 on FSX, and my frames would just tank to 5 or less fps, while with the other PMDG products it stayed at 20 to 30 fps. So before I sink in $70 for the P3D version, does anyone have any pressing issues with the DC-6 that would be a deal-breaker? My specs: Intel i7800, GTX 1070, 16GB of DDR4 RAM at 2666MHz, P3D v4.2.

...but the shop cart keep saying it's empty. I did write "yes" in the confirmation box, and verified that there is 1 qty. When I click "checkout" Im taken to the next page that says my cart is empty. When I click purchase via paypal, im taken to my paypal account. After I verify the purchase im taken back to pmdg shop that says my cart is empty... Ive tried with both Chrome and MS Edge, but neither browser does any better. Btw, I already purchased the dc6 for p3d. I don't know if that messes things up?

hi all, by now i must have read the manual a 1000 times and watched video's on youtube, but no matter what i try i cant get the enige to catch. the before start checklist is complete, mixture enigine 3 auto rich throttle a bit open fule tank selected main grownd power on fuel booster eng 3 low eng 3 selected mag to both i hit start on 3 sec i prime on 12 i boost engine comes to life, but dies out after a sec or 2 what could be wrong? regards Leon

I've made a few early flights in the DC6 and the prop-head in me is loving it. However, I've stumbled upon what seems to be a navigation oddity. I like to fly vintage planes entirely via radio nav, so I've disabled the GPS. I've noticed that when tracking a VOR the bearing indicator seems to be a few degrees off course, and the direction depends upon whether i'm inbound or outbound. Say I have the OBS set for 280. It seems as though if I'm flying on an outbound I actually end up right of course, on a radial closer to 283. If I'm flying inbound I will be left of course, on a radial closer to 277. Has anyone else seen this sort of behavior?
