    I don't post a lot in the PDMG forums, most everything I need has either already been covered in the manuals or from just a quick search here. That said, I just felt like stopping in for a moment to say, "Thanks!". What a great aircraft, I'm really enjoying it in P3DV4; then again I've yet to purchase a PMDG aircraft I did not enjoy! Keep on doing what you guys do. Tip of the hat to all involved in the project...Well Done!

    For fans of military iron, I have uploaded 2 U.S. Air Force C-118 paint schemes to AVSIM. The first is painted in Military Air Transport System (MATS) livery as it would have looked in the early 1960s and can be found at https://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=p3dacrp&DLID=200804.     Just recently made this purchase. Planned a flight using Simbrief, followed the power schedule and settings to the letter in the POH. After cruise power was set, I turned on the autopilot. I started performing a more detailed scan of the gauges and was looking down at the center pedestal and was observing the elevator trim wheel moving on both captain and fo sides. Only the elevator trim position indicator on the Captains side was moving to indicate a change in the position. Not a deal breaker or really an inconvenience at all, but simply an observation.   5. I have installed and registered the DC-6 in P3Dv4 and uninstalled and reinstalled again, everything is current! I've tried countless times to download the NAC and others in frustration to no avail, it starts but quits just as quickly, everytiime! really bummed as there is not one NAC DC-6 that I can find anywhere.. I've resorted to the default, not bad.. but not what I want.. Any ideas? Hope? Thanks

    in the aircraft.cfg there is a line : CONFIG for Serial 43819 and up --- total 5512 gallons can we expect to have more fuel capacity in the next future? or some C-118A ?

P3Dv4 havent yet, until today done a long-ish flight, mostly pattern stuff, very short local flights.. problem came after half hour of flight.. the P3D window became dark, nothing visible enough to see.. the plane continued to operate properly, copilot did a great job! nothing i did changed the screen, short of changing aircraft or closing the sim. I did activate the DC6 on install.. maybe an issue there? should I deactivate the license and reactivate again? Thanks!

    Hello, If I'm not mistaken, the DC6 can fly up to 25,000 feet. My problem is that when I am 15000 feet, my speed is already about 150 knots. Is there something special to configure in the plane to be able to reach at least the 20000 feet and accelerate? Thank you.

  10. I first downloaded the DC-6 last week and had a small number of successful flights. It is a great aircraft! However, as of today when I load the aircraft and enter the VC, I am not able to activate some of the controls. I can put the mouse on the parking brake and set and unset the brake, and I can get the yoke to go down (the "disappear" mode), can get the arm rests to go up/down, and perhaps a few more. But most of the other controls I attempt to activate seem to be "dead". For example, I am unable to unlock the flight controls, move the throttles, mixture, propeller pitch controls, and unable to move most of the controls on the overhead panels for starting the engines,…

  12. Hello, when I downloaded and installed the aircraft, the Operations Center came up as an introduction at the end. However, when I want to consult the Center later, I cannot find it. It is not on my Windows Start Menu and it is not in a short cut on the PC main screen. I thought I may have done something wrong on the initial install, so I downloaded the product and installed it again, and still the Operations Center is nowhere to be found after I close the installation screen.     I purchased the DC-6 a few days ago. I've used it in other aircraft before like the MAAM DC-3. I was flying the tutorial 1 again today and turned the gyro pilot off. When I tried to turn it on again it wouldn't come on. I Then turned the AP Mech Disc off and tried to turn the gyro pilot on but didn't work. I then quit FSX and started over. Now it wouldn't start again. I tried to click on the gyro pilot switch but it wouldn't come on. I restarted the computer and then fsx and still it won't work. Just to be sure I know the gyro pilot switch come on first then the AP Mech. Help please

  14. I am having an issue installing the Everts Air Cargo N451CE livery from Goldstar textures with the OC. I have extracted the file Opened the operation center, opened the livery manager for the DC-6 selected add livery browsed to the extracted file, Highlighted the file and selected open and nothing happened; the livery was not installed. Hello, I just bought the DC-6 and in less than 20 minutes I`ve got two crashes (always when taxiing/taking-off) and multiple problems when trying to use this plane with the native VR mode from P3D. Besides the two similar crashes when I go into VR mode and then back into 2D (KERNELBASE.DLL - part of the crash-log below), I find that the interaction with the AFE is just not possible when in VR. Is there any kind of shortcut to be able to select the different functions of the Flight Engineer in VR mode? Considering that this a native functionality of P3D V4, I would think that this has been tested during the development period. I should say that I have every …

I planned the flight with a 1000BHP setting and fuel bias of P10.0.     Hello all: It is late on Sat, but I just had to do this. I went to the three airports (SLSB, SLTJ and SLSU) where I am "guaranteed" to have a CTD. Each time, I turned off the simulator and restarted for each trial. In the first one, SLSB, there was no CTD while taxiing to the runway through the usual, dreaded, taxi route. In the oither two, there was a CTD taxiing out. The difference however, is that this time, there was no Windows warning panel (i.e. The program has stopped working ....     Hi folks, happily I am on may way as a historic flight KLM601 EHAM--EGPF--CYQX--KIDL (I assume they flew to Idlewild, now KJFK). Current leg is EGPF--CYQX. The clock on the captain's side as well as the GPS show local time. Flying while crossing time zones this is rather confusing. Could this be switched to GMT, as also the true aircraft won't adjust the time automatically? Or at least in the GNS430? (The FSX option in Settings--General only takes the computer's time for free flight, no effect.) Thanks in advance.

    I have tried on so many occasions to activate DC6 Cloud master for FSX and no go.. I have a lot of PMDG stuff very veryt happy no problems up until now and I get a bit peed off when after I pay for something and it does not deliver ... why if all the other stuff is fine, can I not activate this DC6 product I turned Firewall off why make it so dam hard Cliff

    Just curious about the VOR bearing pointer instrument and it's current behaviour. The bearing pointer works / points to a tuned ILS location. I'm not sure if this is correct? In every other simulation of similar instruments in other aircraft it doesn't do this. The bearing pointers will only point to VORs. It's been a long time since I've flown an aircraft in real life with this kind of kit..... I can't recall ever seeing the current modeled behaviour. I don't think an ILS produces a directional signal quite the same way as a VOR. Might be a bug. Adam Turley

    Hi, Until now i have flown 6 flights from EHAM to EHAM of about 60nm at a cruise level of about 7.000 ft. On three flights i suffered a CTD while taxi to the runway but for the rest the flights with FDE went very good.. On my first real cruise flight (online with IVAO) in the DC6 today, from EHAM to EKBI i suffered a CTD on taxi again. Started up again and retried.....this time i could take off and climb. Climbing to FL210 i first ran into hypoxia at about FL130, i solved it by descending to FL100 and set the pressurization. I was climbing with FDE active (so i assumed that would take care of the cabin pressure, wich it did not appearently). …

    I'm having an issue with the flaps. If I set it to 20 for example, it goes full. So whatever position I set the yellow lever, the flap goes to the full position. It also happens when de AFE set the takeoff flaps, he put the lever on 20, but the flap go down to full. I made a video to show this:
