Anyone know if it is possible to shorten the distance to the destination approach when flying IFR? If flying between relatively close airports, the ATC sends me out in a long loop before lining me up with the destination runway. When flying GA aircraft, I would prefer a shorter approach. Many thanks.

First of all, I am sorry about the ambiguous title, but I wasn't able to describe it in a brief way. I have been a user of P2A for almost 2 years. I had P2A installed a few months before this. After these months of inactivity I have take again the MSFS 2020 simulator (several updates were necessary). I have checked the FSUIPC7 is working properly (I have tested with Self-Loading Cargo and it works well) The first time I press "Connect" it detects correctly the frequencies and it changes in the application according with the changes in the simulator. But I cannot see anything else: no map, no flight data, no detection of my location, anything else. …

  3. Started by knich,

The last couple of flights the sim has frozen mid flight. On one instance sim froze after P2A went haywire mid flight. Odd thing is the P2A finally resumed working, no CTD, and the P2A is still calling ATC freq changes but the sim is stuck. Again no CTD but plane is frozen. I still get ATC chatter as well. Any solution?

Hi, Is it possible to install Pilot2ATC in a network computer and have it connected to MSFS? How? Thank you. Regards HB

  5. I've successfully connected to the sim (MSFS) I've got details appearing correctly, frequencies, map, weather etc However when I hold down PTT nothing happens (it works in the grammar helper), when I use the speach assistant and SayIt I don't get anything back. I also don't hear anything on ATIS. Testing voices works, the grammer helper seems to work fine. What am I missing?

Hi Dave, When ATC assigns a new approach for landing - should the flight path and plan info change in the GUI ? I've noticed that it does not and if I'm missing a setting somewhere for that. Thanks Tony

  7. Started by knuckles,

OK gang kinda a weird one for the last year I have been building IRF flight plans and exporting into MSFS 2020 to use with A320 fly by wire with great results. about a month ago the auto pilot would not work, sometime would not even turn on, if it did turn on it would not follow the flight plan I assumes it was a problem with the A320. So now if I build the flight plan in MSFS 2020 Or download direct from "SimBrief " it works just fine. But nothing exported from pilot2ATC will work It loads in the FMC OK. Its exporting as a PLN. file . early on we had to export as a P3Dv4 format. but since the last update it should load direct to MSFS 2020. …

Hello Dave, just a question. I set up P2ATC options in such a way ATC can change approach and arrival runway depending on wind. If that happens I assign the new data in the MCDU and everything works fine. The FLP (the green/blue FLP in P2ATC) still remains the original one (previous approach and runway). Is that normal or is there something to do to have the new plan in P2ATC?. Thanks in advance. Fabio

  9. I'm using Simbrief, and saving it to FS2020, then importing it into the FMC in the FBW A320, and Pilot2ATC. The Navigraph database is current for both. Pilot2ATC seems to like to add many more waypoints then the FMC does. The problem mainly seems to be the SID'd and STAR's don't match up. I get different waypoints, and sometimes they approach has different transitions as well. Do I need to update another DB along with the Navigraph one for Pilot2ATC? A bit confused on why the same Simbrief FP gives different results. This is on the full release version BTW.

Are there or will there in the future be a option to have the ATC put you in a holding pattern like it is in PF3? This would really be a good edition to P2ATC and make it even more immersive.

Hello everyone! I wanted to know if you have any values that work well for the controller radius : - Tower - Departure - Approach -Controller Name Radius With VFR/IFR for small GA aircraft and Airliners. Thanks for your advice :)

In VFR flightplans, I cannot set the cruise altitude to 3000 or 3500 feet. I can set it to altitudes 2500 and below, but if I set it to 3000 or 3500 feet, it defaults to 4500 feet. Similarly if I set it to 5000 feet, it defaults to 6500. (In IFR flight, 3000 feet defaults to 4000!) Is there any way round this? Nick

  14. Started by sandiego,

I've read the previous threads about the copilot and radio frequencies and did the RTFM. XP11 Zibo on Win10 These are checked: Show In-Line Grammar Help Speech/Copilot Options: Changes Frequencies Not checked: Responds to Radio When I start the sim, ATIS and Ground are already tuned and the copilot does set the tower frequency In flight however, the copilot is not changing the frequencies; really miss that when managing that IFR approach any way to troubleshoot this? Please and thank you.

  15. If I understand the manual correctly, the SayIt feature is essentially just selecting a pre-made statement and the computer will speak for you, similar to what's in-game in MSFS right now, correct? I ask because I absolutely refuse to speak into a mic because the computer will *always* butcher it (I'm partially deaf, so I have a "funny" voice that computers are unable to understand). Also, when ATC in P2A speak to me, it can appear in the form of subtitles, correct? Finally, is there an in-game panel of a sort for P2A instead of tasking over to it constantly? Thanks in advance!

  18. Started by subn3t,

I am getting this when trying to view street maps. It seems like Pilot2ATC is directly querying OpenStreetMaps from the client, and perhaps some usage limits were triggered. Is there any throttling in place for this? Any ideas to get street view back?

  19. Started by UlteriorModem,

I have a small issue with P2A. Everything works fine until approach. For an ILS approach ATC will instruct me to turn heading 310 (as an example). I comply and turn heading 310 (set on the HDG for autopilot) and turn to 310. A few minutes later ATC will come back up and instruct me to turn heading 310. Well uh... I'm already at 310 ? This happens pretty consistently on ILS approaches. I have course deviation 'allowance' set for 10 degrees, and off course warning timer set for 60 seconds. What am I missing?

  20. I am new to P2A and I noticed that there is missing info about ATIS version at the end of initial requests e.g. "... with information Kilo" for K version of ATIS etc. I did no find it in "Grammar phrases" PDF nor in video examples. PLS explain to me why?

I'm enjoying P2A on XP11.55 with Traffic Global. ATC is aware of inbound / departing traffic and is alerting me for traffic separation. Will it do the same with MSFS 2020 and the built-in "real life traffic"? I did not try it yet (so far, I'm just using VATSIM with MSFS) but just wondering what others experienced...

  22. Hi, I tried to add a waypoint (pressing the green "(+) Wpt". The intention was to add it in the middle of the flight plan (something the import has missed). What I've done is: 1. Clicked on one of the waypoints in the current plan (so it turned green) 2. Clicked "(+) Wpt" and entered it with the keyboard-like entry pop-up and clicked enter 3. Problem is, it was added but at the tail end of the plan, just before my arrival airport, I wanted to add it right after the waypoint I was marking in the plan What am I doing wrong? Is there a better way to add waypoints to an active plan? Thanks.

  23. Hi, I'm relatively new user to P2A and I like it so far. One issue I'm trying to overcome is handing NATs (North Atlantic Routes) as those will show up in Simbrief as "NATA" (NAT A for example) and will get interpret to different waypoints than what Simbrief believe to be the latest and correct one. Any solution for that? I don't mind to enter the NAT waypoints manually into the text before importing it but what is the correct format that P2A will read if I'm importing text from Simbrief? Thanks.

I'm using live weather in MSFS. In P2A I have Sim weather checked. However, P2A always tells me that weather is not available. are my P2A settings incorrect? If so, what should they be?

  25. Started by gokings1,

Hello fellow simmers, I seem to have an issue I can't figure out. I did a search in the forums with 0 results. Pilot2atc has been working great. I just added a new 2 TB nvme ssd and now I get an error that says license validation failed: already activated on another machine. Nothing was changed except for adding the new drive. It has a deactivate button but I am afraid to click it for fear of completely losing the license. Any ideas? Flying without it really sucks. TIA
