I have been away from flight sim some years, but have again found interest in the flight sim hobby. I'm looking for VFR/IFR tours with GA airplanes. With descriptions, flight plans etc. I use X-plane, so these tours most not be exclusive for other simulators. By googling I have found some, but they are scattered on different site. Any tips where to find such tours?

What a difference the community and simulators have gone through these past 7 years I have spent away from flight simulator! The last forums I was on were fs2002.com and fs9.org. I had never heard of P3D years ago. I finally have a system that will run FSX (I'm always one simulator behind) The biggest change for me is the 2D panels I'm struggling with this Virtual Cockpit stuff, I've even bought TrackIR 5 to help me along the way! Glad to see the Library is still here with great freeware stuff although I am thraping my credit card buying all the new stuff that has come out. I mean really I am running out of money fast hehe. Hello, I am completely new and haven't bought a flight sim yet. What got me interested in watching cockpit videos on YouTube. I own a MacBook Pro. So I have some basic questions. - does MSFS work on a Bootcamp installation of Windows 10? - most hardware such as joysticks or yokes says "compatible with PC" and not Mac. I'm thinking of getting a joystick as my first option. What joysticks marked as "For PC" would work on a Mac Bootcamp Windows 10 installation? Ignore the Barbarian, it was meant to be Bavarian! I’m setting this up for my airplane obsessed husband who is recovering from a brain tumor. I set up a new computer, bought Flight Simulator 2020 and a decent joystick. Updated the all the Windows stuff and am now downloading. We have a crippling slow speed of 8mb/sec which is ok, as I can wait and this set up is purely to motivate him. He’s ok, but very depressed etc. However unless I’m reading it wrong, it says the download is 160+GiB. Can that even be possible ? Have I just spend a small fortune on an impossible download? I am a new member to this site/ I am having trouble with my throttle on my Hotas Warthog. I am running Win microsoft flight sim 2020. The throttle keeps cutting out and I GO into the deep six. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi, I have been attempting to enable widescreen in Flight Simulator X (Disk edition, not Steam). I've edited the .CFG file and set "WideViewAspect=True". It hasn't changed anything. Could I be doing something wrong? Thanks, Sticky

Hello to all simulated flight lovers! Here I am also registered here to benefit from the experience, competence and availability of many pilots willing to transmit this passion with humility and competence. By now I am no longer very young but I have always had a passion for flying ... unfortunately, due to unexpected events in my life, I had to make other career choices. For over 10 years I have been involved in simulated flight and I would like to improve in all the fields necessary to prepare a good pilot (even if virtual) ... Hello! I've been using MS Flight Simulator since the 1997 edition release, and have upgraded every time a new edition came out. In previous editions, setting the key assignments on my Logitec Extreme 3D joystick has been pretty easy & straightforward. However, in the new 2020 edition, I have run into a brick wall 😭. I found the place to make the changes to the settings, and have tried my best to set up a personal category of settings to match what I have used in past editions. The problem that I am having is when the ATC on all the flight sims comes on I have a reduction in the volumne of my speakers. I believe it started when downloading the Microsoft 202H operating system updates. I am asking if anybody else has had any similar type of problem. The volumen is turned up as far as it can be on my speakers. But when the ATC comes on to let you know info the vol goes down to where you can barley hear it. It only does this on my flight sims when trying to hear the ATC.…

I've never used flight sims before (apart from the one on google earth), and am not into gaming, but when FS2020 came out last year it really caught my eye and the idea of getting into a flight sim appeals to me. Having done a bit of research I've realised I'd need to spend well over £1000 on a new PC to run FS2020 and even then might only manage low to medium settings. Hello everyone I am new to this forum and am seeking information. I am looking for a high quality sim platform for the Avro RJ85. I want to use it for full instrument approaches, SIDS, STARS, and be able to use the FMS. Is there any recommendations of which program to buy? I have the Hotas Warthog without rudder pedals. How do I steer the aircraft on the grond and how do I use the brake. Once in the air how do I controle the rudder, is that the same as on the ground.

I am running a AMD FX-4300/4-core with 16GB/DDR3 and GTX-1070/8GB. I converted to Vulkan recently but now see that the CPU is always running at 70-75% standing on the runway (example C172) . I am driving 3 (1920x1080) HDMI or DP screens (Main and 2 popouts for GNS430+530) Should it be this high? 2. Is a CPU upgrade (30% possible with a FX6350/6 core) worth it? This is the max that the AM3+ socket supports 3. Or is is time for an update to AM4 (say Ryzen7/8-core?) What do the Nerds have to say / recommend? Particularly in respect of the work-in-progress at Laminar to make more use of multicores after the change from OpenGL to Vulcan

Hi regarding the cache I fly all over and I find my hard drive is filling up plus my FPS is getting worse.Question I have can I not just delete the cache?
