Hi there. I checked all the forum subcategories and I think this is the appropriate one to post in. I went to Roatan last February for vacation, and was lucky enough to talk to the pilot of my B737 flight about the approach. I knew there was no ILS there, and I asked him what approach he used. He told me it is an RNAV approach complete with GPS guidance in the FMC. Anyway, I'm still relatively new to flight simulation (about 6 months). I never used a 737 yet, but decided to try landing at this airport (MHRO) using the default FSX Airbus that I ported to P3D. Hello, My first sim experience was Microsoft Flight Simulator 98, and I continued as a member of several virtual airlines over a period of around ten years. I stopped flying virtually shortly after the release of FSX due to the time commitment required to get my career where I wanted it. A few weeks ago, I learned that Flight Simulator was in development and feel it’s an excellent time to pick up where I left off. Over the next several months, I’ll be reading as much as I can to learn about everything I’ve missed.

My 12 year old grandson has recently shown interest in becoming a pilot. I purchased a yoke and pedals and have been running FSX on a MS Surface. I am looking very strongly at upgrading to a faster computer and monitor setup. Can anyone provide input on what would work best, particularly monitor wise? Multi monitor vs extra wide monitor? Any minimum levels to start with processor and video cards? Any other pitfalls to watch out for during purchase? Thanks in advance for any assist.

Hello to everyone, let´s, quickly introduce myself here. I´m Phil 49 years old and new in this "SIM FLY WORLD". I "fly" on XP11 and really get addicted to it. I´m here.because the "magic" from the web bring me here 😉 I´ve started my first "local" flights with PRIVATAIR .I´m based at LFMN.and we use VATSIM platform. That´s all ! Not really a lot to talk about my experience at the moment. I still learning basics everyday, in between FMC functions, CHARTS and AIR SPACE rules . 😉 I use the LEGACY 650 from X-CRAFT for now. So I bought the Reality XP GTN 750 for FSX Steam and I had it working for a day but then something happened and now the screen is just black. I have been through the manual and the this form but I cant seem to find a fix for my issue. I have tried uninstalling every item I had in FSX SE and starting from scratch and it still does not work. I uninstalled GTN as well to include the trainer and then re installed it as well. The addon button in the menu still works but the actual items do not work. Glad to join the community! I have only started using a flight simulator this year, so my question may seem a little naiive. But here goes..... Just wondering if others have seen this issue, and any advice that could be offered. I have the T.Flight Hotas 4 Joystick which I have been using on FSX (Steam Edition) on Windows 10. I just purchased the TFRP Rudder Pedals, which I have plugged into the joystick with the RJ12 connector, as directed in the manual. When using FSX, the rudder pedals work fine and actuate the rudder on the aircraft properly, but I do not get toe brakes to do anything on either pedal. Hi, I'm new to X-plane since January & I have latest version 11.41. I have been learning to take off/fly & land etc and all cool, but I have noticed recently after about 8-10 minutes of flying, my Garmin 530/430 screens on the Cessna 172 just go blank! I have the alternator switch turned ON along with battery switch - I have a Honeycomb yoke. Very annoying having filed a flight plan and going along nicely...then boom...screens go blank and plans are up in smoke! Any help, ideas why this is happening? Many thanks Wedman

Hi guys my computer is running on windows 7, i know its old and i might uppgrade to windows 10. I had a Microsoft flight sim many years ago Now i would like to have a simulator where both VFR and IFR procedures can be trained at airports in the US. I would like to have the Cessna Citation in the simulator, the version with the glass cockpit. What version of Microsoft simulator should I use, or what other simulator would be good. Hi, I flew flight simulators all my life until about 10 years back. I flew mainly military flightsims but started my flightsim career with MS FSII. My biggest passion was Falcon 4.0. At that time I had one of the biggest Falcon 4.0 websites, www.f4hq.com. (does not exists any more) I saw of course the first MSFS2020 video and was immediately interested to commit to that. So I want the whole experience, including online flying and if possible a local flightsim group that I can join. Still a huge amount of questions and that is why I joined this forum.

I am new to the forums so hope I have the correct one have been using FSX (not steam version) on my desktop for many years but have lost the ability to take off!
