Hallo Guys, I need help with the following issue: I recently bought REX4 Texture direct on simplanet.com. After install i try to start up but i get a pop-up message saying: Your SQL Server is either corrupt or has been tempered with (unknow package id) Please uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem. i uninstalled the SQL server and also REX4 and then install them again but no result. Does anybody know a fix for this problem? ERVIN.

Hi, new member here and wanted some advice if you could. I'm new to flight sim, I did play years ago when Microsoft Flight Sim 2004 was out but I didn't really dive into it that much. I've just ordered the thrustmaster joystick with throttle and planning on buying x plane 10 also but wanted to know how hard it is to pick the knowledge up of flying? My goal is to fly the commercial airliners but that's probably way off as I don't have the knowledge of flying much so probably best to stick to light aircrafts for now, would you agree? When I hear people talk about different things and numbers it is so confusing, is it easy to pick all this jargon up? I struggle to understand…

Hi everyone , I am Amine , new to all this , straight to the point , I am building my home cockpit , bought three Saitek panels , all worked well untill , I tried to add a usb hub ,my panels lost the gauges and one of the three lost the complete display , the other two still have the Saitek add. 4 yrs ago i was going to jump into flight sim world but racing cars consumed up a lot of my time. Im throttling back on racing and looking to get into flying and eventually my real pilots license. I'm new to this forum so I'm not sure if I'm asking this question in the right place. I just added radar contact to FSX. It is the latest version and I'm running Windows 7. There is no update tab under utilities. I tried reinstalling with and without my virus software on. Also, following the instructions from radar contact, I reinstalled from a different download of the zip installation file. Same results. No update tab. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks! Hunter

Hi all, I'm a newbie so apologies if I'm asking this question in the wrong place! Although I've 'played around' with FS2000 up to the current version of P3D v3.1, I've not taken it that seriously until fairly recently (now hooked!) and so I'm in a fairly sharp learning curve and this seems to be the place to be! One thing I've found really irritating and have been unable to find a solution to, is that of saving undocked panels. I have three screens for 'through the window' views and two below for instrument panels. Each time I load my PMDG777 (or 737), I have to go through the process of undocking each panel and positioning as required. Surely there's an easier way? …

Hi. Been into flightsims for years - Falcon 3.0, Su-27 Flanker, Mig-29 and F-16 back in the day. I flew for a virtual airline back when FS98 was in fashion! (Lynx) good old Proflight 98 planner and submitting PIREPS based on honesty. I didn't do VATSIM or online too much back then. Had Flight Assignment ATP too! Anyhow I got into consoles so my PC became more and more outdated. However, recently got hold of a more up to date one which can run FSX quite happily so my interest has once again been piqued. I had to put a new hard drive in my Dell Alienware. I loaded FS9 AND FSX. FSX runs fine, but when I try to run FS9 it tell me I need to log in as Admin and try again. I have rebooted the computer right clicked on FS9 and clicked on run as admin. Then click on the FS9 icon and it still says run as admin and try again. HELP!!!

I am running windows 7X64 Ultimate and FSX-Steam. Flights with the JF DC-8 and a freeware B-52 both have Jet engine smoke in their respective Aircraft config. files. However when advancing the throttles on either Aircraft the requisite smoke appears as programmed, but within a minute or less the smoke stops. If one you hold the "i" key down the smoke appears, but when you release the key it stops. Now all Aircraft in my hanger (turboprops or jets,) are doing the same thing. anyone have any ideas regarding this?? Thanks for considering this problem Bests; Zepnick

Hi all. First, I'll admit that I committed the cardinal sin of not simming for a few years. Things/life/head trauma got in the way and I'm just now returning. When I last flew, it was with FSX/Acceleration (boxed, patched and tweaked). I had a then-capable pc and had a fair bit of experience installing freeware - AI aircraft, ai flightplans, afcads and scenery. I'm no stranger to flight simulators (long time DCS and BMS player) but I'm newish to FSX. I've had it for a while and now I'm looking to buy my first payware plane. Only problem is (if you can really call it a problem) there is so much to choose from I don't know which one to pick! I'm looking for an airliner with decent systems modeling and flight model. I dont need every system perfectly modeled or the most accurate flight model but I'd like those to be fairly realistic within the normal flight envelop of the plane. As long as it all feels and looks realistic while doing a simple flight from A to B, I'm happy. I'd also prefer a planes with FMS or equivalent. No…

Lately on FSX when I joined FlyBe Virtual I install one of their planes, when I started FSX to check the plane out during the splash screen FSX loaded. I never remembered and certain I never pressed the Fly Now button. When I try to go to another airport and load another plane FSX then crashes. It has come to a point where I need help immediately because I belong to two virtual airlines and I need to do a flight soon or else I can get terminated. Thank you.

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I'm new to the forum but have sim'd a bit in years past. Nothing in depth. I do have a PPL but not many hours, haven't actually flown in years. In any event, I decided to dive back in and give P3D a whirl. Been flying a Malibu, Jetprop, TBM 850 and a couple other nice models around the last week or so. Wow, isn't the G1000 fancy!! But, the 530/430 combos are even a whole different world than what I learned on. It almost makes flying to easy, click a few buttons and the runway appears in front of you for landing. Hi there Is there a possible way to downgrade my PMDG 777? It sounds stupid, but I have a specific reason. The aux. fuel tanks on the 777 300er are unavailable (just like in real life) after the upgrade. But I need just a few more NM for my flight to Australia. Thanks! P.S. Is there a possible "cheat" to unlock these?

I seem to recall when I hovered my cursor over an active control in the cockpit a very readable label would appear telling what the control's function was. Now I'm trying to learn the autopilot system the labels have disappeared. Trying to read the smudged labels that actually on the panel in the cockpit is difficult at best!
