Hello everybody. I am new here but not new to Flight Simulator. I can say my best hobby so far. I came from MSFS2004, FS9, FSX Acceleration, FSX Steam and now PMDG 737. I enjoy the PMDG very much because I can do more than just making the flight plan, taxi, line up and take off and land. More in the sense that I can use the FMC that I can not do in FSX (I think), I can do a cold and dark startup, etc. But why I can't download liveries using the PMDG Operations Center, Download Liveries. Sorry if I asked that question here.

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the following statement on product features(747) ''Flight Model - Engine and flight modeling is within 5% of the actual Boeing aircraft performance charts, including data and parameters specific to the Pratt & Whitney, General Electric and Rolls Royce engine types.'' Could anyone explain me what exactly they mean with ''within 5 % of the actual Boeing...'' ?

Hi, don't know if anyone can help me with this, but I own FSX Photographic Scenery Generation X by Horizon Vol. 8 Scotland South, Have just tried to re install but disc 2 is slightly damaged and will not install, as there is no support at Horizon or Playsims anymore would anyone know who I can contact to get a copy of disc 2, can anyone advise please?. Hello All, I am just getting back into flight simming, so I dug out my old boxed FSX/acceleration and reinstalled. Love the content on AVSIM so far! Here's my question. How should I get my sim up to date? automatic clay pigeon thrower 1. Stick with FSX and get 3rd party add ons to make it look fresher 2. Get FSX steam edition 3. Move to x-plane version 11 4. Move to Prepar3d version 3 5. Wait for Prepar3d version 4 or dovetail's new sim? I appreciate realism in flight models, visuals, and systems. Thanks

Long time lurker, I've been simming since the early 90's. Never got around to really getting to active in forums but since I have some time on my hands I figured I would say hello. I don't use too much freeware but I like my repaints for the payware. I look forward to being active in this vibrant community finally.

Hello to all, PrecipitFX installation with FVX Central has been done regularly on Prepar3D v3.4 and v4 with activation code but the PrecipitX effects only work on Prepar3D v3.4 while on Prepar3D v4 remain effects by default. I uninstalled and reinstalled PrecipitFX only on Prepar3d v4 but the effects remain the default ones. Ciao to all Roberto

Dear Gentlemen, my name is Marco and i m new one,i have 200 hours on FSX read some books and use FSX just for fun. So please when u write to me use easy words. My issued: I ve got 747 pmdg and if i start by "cold and dark" config i m not able to set ele trim but i m able to set it if i use "default set" on fmc. Does anybody have same problems or anybody can explain me how trim elevator works. I need your help, Br, M

Hi, Does any know how to replay a recorded flight in P3D without loading a default plane? PMDG recommends not to load a default plane before starting a flight. However, P3D does not seem to have this feature to do the replay only. Thanks, --Joseph

Hi everyone, I'm just starting to get back into flight sim after about 10+ years of not flying on my computer. I think the last sim I bought was the FSX whenever it came out, and I stopped after about 6 months with that. Started a business, had kids, etc. Anyway, in that time I also picked up my private pilot's license and flew for about 5 years and then the kids arrived and that stopped. Hi everyone, I'm a new member from Michigan, USA looking to get back into flight sims. I still have an old saitek joystick and throttle I used several years ago for flight simulator x. For the past 5/6 years, I've only being doing racing simulation (mostly iracing). I had water in my basement requiring that I dismantle my racing setup. I'm getting ready to rebuild a simulation rig using 8020 aluminium profile. I figure while doing this build, I should make it dual purpose for racing sim and flight sim. Hi All, My name is Jon Budworth and I work as a pilot flying a Jetstream 41. I have always used FSX to practice new procedures and instrument work. I am currently flying the excellent Jetstream 41 sim from PMDG, it's very realistic! However, I've come across what appears to be a glitch and wondered if anyone could help. When flying to Stornoway from East to West the DME drops out when approx 15 miles from the airport. Has anyone had this problem and if so is there a fix? Yours in hope, Jon.

I usually fly regional medium to short haul routes also international long haul routes. My favorite route is LHR-CGK and SVO-LHR or SVO-CGK. Maybe anyone in this forum can recommend any epic long haul or even ultra long haul routes? I come to this forum to enrich my knowledge and expand my hobby. Greetings AVSIM: I am new to the forum. I am relatively new to being a flight simmer online in the "virtual" world. I am not new at all to aviation, in fact I am getting to be an old dog. I am a Captain Instructor Pilot and FAA Examiner for a major aircraft manufacturer currently. I hold type ratings on the B747-400, B747-8, B787, B757, B767, A320, and SD3. I have over 26,000 hours split between flying and teaching/checking in Level C/D simulators. I use FSX-SE and, not surprisingly, I am drawn to the airline type simulators. Hello all, been lurking for a couple days now and decided to register. I have played Flight Sims off an on for most since the 386 days but took a long time off and only recently picked it back up. Working off a copy of FSX:SE with a few of the DLCs but nothing crazy.
