After 31 years flying the real things and starting in the flight sim world with FS5, my return to this genre got a wakeup call today. The PMDG NGX 737 in AA colors was in a youtube video and I was amazed at the interactive ATC environment...not the canned FSX comms but sounding like the real thing, including pushback. Where do you get that? Even the people getting onboard were greeted by the FAs. The controller saying "Seventeen forty three" instead of "One seven four three" was enough to make me want the package right then. Some direction would be appreciated to enjoy a similar experience.

New to the forums and to FSX. Looking forward to learn all I can about flight and navigation. Been doing a lot of IFR flights with the Cessna and going start doing some vfr flights to learn that a little more. Slowly learning SIDS and stars. Was also hoping somebody could help me out with some add-on aircraft. I downloaded the legacy from realair but that thing draws to much resources. I can't run Rex and I need the settings down to low to make it enjoyable to fly around. My system is an i5 and gtx 770 card and 8gigs ram. Hi I recently purchased the VRinsight MCP Combo II for Boeing and installed the VRi software from their website. Everything works fine. All the EFIS buttons, all the MCP buttons, and all the Com buttons except for the 8 buttons at the top of the Com area work perfectly. Documentation not too clear. Does anyone know where the software file for the VRI software resides so I can edit the buttons? Actually file name and location? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx, Tom

Hi to all I am a new comer to the forum and really need some help I am also new to running PMDG 737ngx I am really bowled over by to me this wonderful product every thing was running fine until early today when my curser just stopped doing anything it would not work anything on any of my PMDG aircraft but is fine on all the FSX aircraft also I seemed to have lost the ability to drag & drop if there is any one with any sort of help or advice I will be most grateful many thanks for reading this post lonewlf45

Hi guys, so I recently bought a new pc for maxing out graphics on fsx. Some of my PC specs are: Intel Core i7 4790k at 4.6GHZ cooled by a Corsair H100i EVGA Superclocked GTX 770 It is more than capable of producing ultra graphics, however it isn't. I have REX 4 with all of the textures at 4096, I am running Orbx Global and Vector, FTX England, REX essentials Plus Overdrive and Aerosoft airports. It is running very smoothly however, it looks nothing like the ones on YouTube. The water and the clouds don't seem to HD even though they are on max settings. Some of the videos on Youtube have been produced by computers with slower CPUs and graphics cards and they …

Bought FSX nearly 3 years ago and never really got into playing it, not having spare time being the main reason, but also my PC wasn't really great then and was very choppy when running the game, so abandoned it after a couple of times playing it. Hi everybody im new to avsim, the main reason I created this account was to ask this question.....I have a windows 8 dell computer with an i5 and the stock graphics card but that's not the problem because I run fsx perfectly....but I have this weird problem with sp2 that I don't have with sp1. I seem to get better frame rates and no stutters in sp1, but most addons if not all are optimized for sp2 so theres really know other way for me. the main difference is when I put the frame limit to 100, sp1 works perfectly but sp2 theres lag and tear when I pan around the aircraft its so annoying seriously I just don't get it I cant play like that. Hello, I'm new to the forums and just thought I'd post a quick greeting before pestering people for information. I've done some flying a couple of decades ago but just haven't had the time since. My goal is to build a system that will help me reduce the amount of dual air time (and more importantly the cost of the time) while working on my PPL. Does anybody know how to get the default B737 and B747 MFD's to display the green localiser lines emmiting from the runways. I noticed that the GPS Garmin 500 displays these green localiser lines but the MFD's in the B737 and B747 will not. All you see is a small white line designating the runway but no green localiser lines. If it's not possible to get them to display the localiser lines is there any replacement MFD gauge that can be used that will display these localiser lines.

I've been flying in FSX for quite awhile now; I've done most of the fight lessons by Rod Machado, meaning that I'm familiar (but not an expert) with VOR navigation, holding patterns, etc. ( in a Cessna ). Hi, Today I created a visual approach "Landing Panel" for the B737-800. I edited the original main 2D panel in paint.net by removing the lower part just under the autopilot so the panel now sits much lower in the screen giving you a full clear view of the runway. It sort of simulates looking over the panel to give a more clear view but still has that "in cockpit" feel. The problem is I can't figure out how to change to it from the standard main 2D panel. If I cycle through the view options (Main Panel -> Spot view -> Tower View -> Wing view) it does not appear on screen. How do I add it in? Hello I'm new to AVSIM. I've been flight simming since the early 90's and though I've messed around with MSFS since 4.0 and X-Plane since 5, I mostly focused on military sims. However I recnetly discovered FSEconomy (my new addiction). I've dove (doved? dived? I'm sorry...I'm an Okie) head first into civilian flight and dipped my toe into the expensive world of addons with the Aerosoft Twin Otter and Lionhearts Quest Kodiak.
