I am running FSX and have the following problem. Whenever I am using the GPS and I try to use the simulation rate at 2X it always reverts back to normal speed. If I don't use the GPS this doesn't happen. Any suggestions?

Hi guys, From my beginning at simulation, i was dreaming to have a great realistic look on my simulator, so i decide to spent couple of money buying the most better hardware possible to make my computer ready to go for my simulator, including a Formula V Extreme system board, intel i7 3770, an Nvidia Gtx 670 4gb, 8gb ddr3 , a 60" lg 1920 res, joysticks, throttle quadrant, etc etc etc... I went so happy to build my new simulator and i didnt realize that i was about to drive under the most sad deception in my life and is that my FSX still looking really bad :( and i dont know what to do now after all those spent money... Did i wrong? Theres any way to fix this …

Hello all, my name is David. I'm 26 years old and have been an aviation fanatic pretty much my whole life. I've been playing Flight Simulator for probably about five or six years but did take a break about two years ago and just recently started back up, with much more knowledge and idea on how to properly fly a plane. By no means am I near to calling myself even close to skilled, but I ain't thay bad Anyhow, hope to see some of you around, anything you guys need, I'm open to helping. I actually have a bit of an issue setting up ILS approaches in the Boeing 777, but I'll make a post about that later on. Cheers guys, see you all around!

Is anyone able to assist please. I am new to the hoppy and am trying to get to grips with flying. I have bought the A2A Cessna Trainer and when I come to access the checklist it appears in a language that looks like Russian. Is there any way to make it English please? Kind regards,

I am not able to switch between different camera views when I am watching the replay of my landings. I can however switch camera views when flying the plane. Is there a solution to this issue or is it a limitation of EZDok.

Let me start by saying that - I am probably the youngest member here, an avid simmer(and gamer, also bookworm) - who is 14 years old. I love simulated flght in FSX, sometimes using FS9 when I want a change. My knowledge about flight mainly comes from the lessons in FSX, the learning center, and my own experiments. Hi everyone Been on and off with flightsim as life allows really but now am able to spend more time on this great hobby now and hopefully learn more along the way. I have saved various stages of a PMDG 737NGX flight from PDX to SFO - ready to pushback, ready to taxi, ready to T.O., TOC and TOD. The saved flights on the ground restart fine; the ones in the air all start Cold and Dark, not good at altitude. The CDU does not show any panel state available - it's blank. However, the Tutorial #2 saved segments all work fine, including panel state options. I don't understand the difference. It's frustrating because the only way to practice the approach to SFO is to fly the entire flight. But it works fine on the Tutorial segments. Any ideas?

Hello all, I've been a lurker for quite a while, i figured i would step out of my shell and start trying to contribute to this great community!

First, let me thank everyone for their advice on getting started with add-ons. I did take the suggestions of Bert Pieke and Anthony31 and download the North American ORBX and the SF260. Both are great except their are several block out grey areas near the airport. Before I start describing my problem with FSX, I did try to get help from FSX support. I was unable to present my problem as they only had answers for previous questions (no new ones) OK, the problem I am having is after I start fsx and chose free flight and then an aircraft, airport, etc and OK everything and then click fly now. Hi i was flying on fsx with rex essentials plus and I saw on the EFIS that winds were 222/30. 30 kts is a lot and the aircraft was shaking a lot. I don't know if it's normal or I did something wrong on the settings so please help me. Thanks

Could someone help me (me being new member and novice), I'm not even sure if I'm writing in the correct page here..... I'm using the Hotas Worthog stick only, (I am saving up but these things are expensive),.. it flies the starter planes ok so some of the controls work but some don't, when it comes to a more in depth plane with more controls I struggle, especially with reverse thrust like, where is it, I found this out when I tried to land on a short run way with a big plane by using just the brakes, I will get there, but need a little help as I don't think I'll learn this over night, but I'm really getting in to this flying lark thing but stuck on this reverse thrus…

I have had FSX for years and spent most of my time trying to fly the plane properly in a simulator. I only recently discovered the world of addons. I have spent hours on the internet, mostly reading about scenery. I am fascinated with the idea of making the sky, water, terrain, airports, etc, more realistic. But, the more I read, the more confused I got on how to do this in the right way. So my name is Chris Johnson, I have FSX and X-Plane 10 (which I think I will leave for a year or so!!!). I am new to "REAL" flight sims and I am just having a great time. Newbie here, Maybe someone can help. I am having issues with loading this add on and populating the right folders or locations in the FSX root tree directory for this to work. I understand this software is no longer supported by it's author. Maybe someone has used this in the past and can help me figure out how to make it work. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hey all, I'm relatively new to the world of flight and aviation, so my knowledge is fairly limited. I recently picked up FS9 and the iFly 737 addon, and while I'm making progress, I still have a long way to go. I had a couple of questions pertaining to the descent procedure in general terms, and less specific to the iFly. 1.) How does one determine the transition level? I understand that in the US it's FL180. However I'm currently working on the tutorial flight for the iFly, which runs from YSSY to YMML. They give you the transition altitude early in the tutorial, but they do not specify the transition level for descent. How does one determine this? 2.) Upon r…

When I am listening to virtual clubs atc controllers I have a bad memory when it comes to repeating back the atc message. I was wondering if there is a program (other then the default FSX atc) that will read back the atc controllers message? Sort of a voice to text made for FSX. I have tried using the voice to text app that Dragon puts out but I set up my iPad that has the app and let it try to pickup the atc voice from FSX but that doesn't work. I need to be an accurate text read back. It anyone can help I know of allot of people who would be grateful. Mokuboy1

I need to get another copy of TileProxy. But the only place I can find to download it is at Sourceforge.net. But the site does not work. Any other place to get it? Thanks for your help.

I'm back to FSX after being gone for about 3 years and am re-learning everything again. One item that I'd like to see is landmark identifiers on the views from my plane, I'm not seeing any currently. I looked through the Display settings menu in FSX and couldn't find anything that could closely activate this feature.

Hello guys, I recently had to re-download FSX and all of my add-ons and I'm having an issue. At some point in the past I figured out a way to toggle between 8x and/or 16x in the simulation rate and 1x/2x/4x in simulation rate without the pause in the game. Can someone refresh my memory how I did that? Was it via FSUIPC or editing the config file? Thanks.
