Unistalled FSX, SP1 and SP2 and reinstalled them. Then went to reinstall the Fixer. Seems to install correctly and launches afterwards, but the path to FSX is empty and the "Change" button is grayed out. It's version 3.4 Build 108. The ini file appears in my App Data/Local folder.. DX10 preview is checked in FsX. What am I missing?

Today I buy DX10 Cloud Shadows and minutes ago i try install and i got the error below when the program run "FixerPatcher": I download Cloud Shadows through the link sent to me in email. Please can help me?

Hi, I purchased Dx10 fixer so my vas would increase as I have good fps and no blurries but I constantly run out of VAS. I heard that Dx10 puts some of the load onto my GPU ( I have a GTX 1060 6GB) and purchased to try it out. I installed the libraries added this tweak to put the load actually onto the GPU: [BUFFERPOOLS] UsePools=0 and started up the sim (FSX-Boxed-Gold) I run orbx, but not high and decided to use the Aerosoft airbus A321 at Heathrow. This was my beefy test and knew if I could get above 50% VAS, I love die in happiness, but was getting only 19% VAS, which gave me big stutters! Hello I've been away from this for a couple of years. Have just reinstalled FSX and attempted to download the updated file from my account at Flightsimstore (over a WEEK ago) and the site keeps crashing. It says they have a server issue but from searching around on Google this appears to be something more serious. So how do I access my DX10 scenery fixer updates? I found an old one (v2.11) stored on my FSX files backup disc but would like to use the latest version? Can anyone advise? Thanks Adam

Hello folks, I am using the LevelD 767-300ER together with the Zinertecks HD textures for this addon and of course with Steves DX10 fixer. I have no trouble with all the other addons like PMDG 737 and 777, Aerosoft A319, etc but in the LevelD the cockpit shadows are only working by side view. If I look front to the Main Panel, all shadows are dissapearing. Looking to left or right in the cockpit, the shadows are there, looking great. But no shadows in front view in the cockpit.....Is there any solution with this issue ? Greetings Christian

Hi all, I'm testing Steve's DX10 fixer and I am not sure if I got the manual right. Do I have to set the AA-mode in Steve's Fixer and the NVInspector as well or only in the fixer or only in the NVInspector? Many thx for your help and kind regards dirk

I have following problem after updating fixer into V3.4. When i try to install libraries i get an error stating: Error copying real file d3dx10_34.dll (0) System Error was 123 Previous install with V3.3 worked just fine. Also FSX won't start anymore after this problem.

There is a new version of cloud shadows with a couple of fixes.

Hi. I have had this issue for a while but just got around to addressing it. Many effects, (smoke, waterfalls, lights) are intermittent. They appear and disappear... i have confirmed it only happens in dx10 any ideas?...thanks

I have a version 3.5 with some bug fixes. Is anyone willing to help me by testing it please? Note that I would prefer it if you have the fastspring version of the fixer as I cannot create the flight sim store installer. If so drop me a PM with your name. Thanks Steve

Hi Steve, I've searched the forum and the manual but nothing I've found so far alludes to my issue. As I pan around in external view the self-shadowing flashes on and off and the point when it does can be narrowed to a small band. Is this just an FsX issue or a model issue ( it happens with all aircraft) or is there a possible fix?

Installation with no problem. - But AES Service ist the half to much above the ground. - all AES vehicles are also above the ground All AES vehicles are not moving on the ground but over the ground. Looks like they are flying. Right side view of my plane left wheel is to the right of the yellow gate line. I change the view to the left side, the plane is optically offset to the left. So right wheel is now left of the yellow line. only direct front or rear view, the plane is exactly in the middle of the yellow line. The uninstall made twice brings no improvement. So without DX10 in DX9 mo…

Is there any way using dx10 fixer to adjust the brightness? i.e. make the days brighter and make the nights darker.

Despite searching on Flight Sim Store and what I think may be Fastspring, I am unable to find where to buy this utilty. Steve, could you please give me a clue, i.e. a link? Is the product still for sale? It seems to come and go - it's not clear to me. Thanks. Andrew Bernard

Hi Steve, I did a complete reinstall of my FSX. Starting again with DX10 and now I have the following problem. All citylights and some airport lights are shown in black blocks. I've been "on board" since 1979 and Bruce Artwick. Not since those days has it been as easy to mange such a beast as FSX. (You think flying a complex aircraft is tough, fix a "typical" FSX issue) Your blog and input has been very helpful. To the point that I purchase both the Fixer and Cloud Shadows as a sign of respect and support. (That the shadows look better, bonus) So I wanted to say thanks. Hi everyone, I've been searching online for suggestions on installing reshade with FSX SE and DX10 Fixer. Thus far I haven't had any success and I am always getting a CTD. Is anyone having any success with this?

I have installed the DX-10 Fixer and flew a night flight and noticed that the skies were empty of AI aircraft, or at least I thought so. I then noticed that the aircraft were there but had no functioning strobe lights. Once they got within 10 miles, I would see their flight info header in the sky (flight destinations, altitude, speed, etc...) Is this a known problem? If so, could someone please share the fix? Outside of this, the DX-10 Fixer appears to be working perfectly so far. Thanks!

When I try to install the DX10 I will see the two attached messages First : You do not have an fx_2.bmp in your FSX Dir/effects/texture directory

I vaguely remember that DX10 fixer and cloud shadows only work with Windows 7. I am considering an upgrade to Windows 8.1 Will the fixer still work? Best, Holger
