Hello, probably I missed something in the manual, but I'm unsure how to get darker VC shadows? I do not use any ENB Mod etc. and have really slight VC shadows - barely noticeable,especially in comparison to P3D v2 shadows. Is there a way to get them darker?? Many thanks Günter

I've recently bought Steve's DX10 Fixer (v5.4 Build 156) for FSX (disc version with SP2). I'm just wondering if it automatically runs in the background without any prompt from me at FSX startup? Anything I need to do? Secondly, I'm a bit confused about the User Preferences box "Check for FSX running on Startup". Do I need that to be ticked or not? I know it's in the manual but it's not clear. Thanks!!

Hi, I have FSX sp2 and DX10 fixer last version. I have found no apparent differences in graphic between CFAS On and either "2X" or "NoAA" selected (CFAS turns gray but on on state). Except several FPS increments between the two options. So in what situation i can see a difference?

Hi Steve, I purchased DX10ScenerFixer_3_3_103 and DX10CloudShadows_1_6_0_revised in May of 2017, I tried it but my old video card was too slow for it to work. I just bought a new faster card so I would like to upgrade to the newest version and try it again. I lost all my emails from that time period so I don't know my account info. Can you help? I can´t see any CSAA modes. Is this correct? This is on v 5.4 Build 156 (the latest one, AFAIK).

Hi folks, I had DX10SF working fine on windows 10 2004 fsx:steam. Then something strange happened and steam said I needed to install 3gb of files for fsx. So after doing that and reinstalling everything else that now no longer worked (all my orbx stuff), DX10SF didn't seem to be working. So I tried re-installing the libraries again and enabling dx10 but I only get as far as around 80% on the scenario loading screen and then fsx shuts down. I works properly once I disable dx10 and go back to dx9. I really miss being able to see the virtual cockpits in some of my planes at night and I really miss the clouds. Hi Steve, I tried to post this comment on your website yesterday but it didn't seem to go through. I have a couple of fsx.cfg questions for you. I have recently purchased your DX10fixer and I am very happy with it. When I was running DX9 in FSX SE, it ran very smooth between 22 and 30 fps with only affinity mask 14 and 4096 max texture in the fsx.cfg. Unlike the boxed version cfg, I wanted to keep SE cfg clean. With the pmdg 777/737, ASN, REX4 + Soft clouds, FTX Global it ran with steady fps and very smooth at all airports including heavy ones such as EGLL, CYYZ, JFK etc. Almost all sliders full right except water at 2x low and traffic off. Inspector at 8xSQ, 2xSGSS, …

I'm an old-time-user of the DX10 fixer, going back when it was just a free set of files. I've got license keys for both the fixer and cloud shadows that date way back, but the installers for the versions I have get a cannot resolve server error when attempting to install on my new computer. I would most appreciate being able to update my installs to the latest and greatest, and being able to activate them. Please let me know how to proceed, I'll gladly provide any provenance as needed. Hi Steve, just loaded up DX 10 Scenery Fixer 5.4 and Cloud Shadow 3.2, all seems to work but getting a message from Diagnostics to do a check, when I do I get ' WARNING! Your current user is not an administrator. If you ever run FSX as administrator then you should run DX10Controller as administrator', never had this before, I've checked my account, I am the administrator, I've started DX10 controller as administrator but warning sign remains??? I have an issue with a Level-D 767 night texture. Along the fuselage, half of it appears properly and the other half appears dark. This happens with DX10 enabled only. With DX9 it appears properly. I suspect that an option in DX10 scenery fixer should be checked/unchecked to solve it, but I can't find out which it could be. So, I wonder if you could assist. P.S. Hello. I bought DX 10 Controller and CLoud shadows two moths ago. The first time i installed, all run perfectly. I have reinstalled W7 64 another time. Now, i can´t see the shadow cloud. i have readen user manual and i can´t see it. i do not know what i am doing bad. Any help. ,please?

gday. i have have flashing 'lights' on the ground in daytime. night time seems not to be affected. the effect is [with movement over the ground] like large bright street lights or large fireflys as the aircraft moves over the ground. i suspect, associated with this is a moire effect in day time of thin straight edges, like light poles, even when stationary on the ground. what settings do i need to adjust? thanks joe

Hi, So, I bought DX10 Fixer with the Cloud Shadows addon, installed it and it worked, but I cound't see the cloud shadows. I went to the forum and tried all the Fixes in the FAQ for DX10 Cloud Shadows, but none of the worked, then I tried the debug to send the screenshot but it dosen't seen to be working, I added the line in the DX10 ini file and builded the shader then I flew towards Brighton at 3000 ft, but I didn't see any debug lines like in the screenshot, so now I'm out of options, please help me. Hello everyone. I've just noticed a strange phenomenon with FS9 aircraft installed in FSX (namely, CLS A330/A340 and Project Airbus A32x with sharklets, which don't have FSX models available). When I switch from 2D cockpit to spot view (either locked or default free), I only see a grey aircraft (as if the Fixer was never installed), and then the textures load. Sometimes it takes 1-2 seconds; however, there are times FSX takes over 30 seconds to do so. It's strange, since these planes are not texture-heavy, and I didn't use any 2048 or 4096 textures. I went to the site and there are lots of information on all of the various updates and release dates but there is no link anywhere to obtain the download or updates. Hello, I recently purchased both DX10 Scenery Fixer (v.5.3.139) and DX10 Cloud Shadows (v3.1). I followed the user manual of DX10 Scenery Fixer and managed to successfully install and license the software. I used your recommended settings in the setup process and set Anti Aliasing to No AA, as I am using FXAA in the NVIDIA Control Panel. I then closed DX10 Controller and opened up Flight Simulator X (Steam Edition) where I continued to adjust settings according to your guide. I have a little older setup being a AMD FX 6300 OC to 4.0 i have 16gb of ram on windows 10 x64, Phoenix Asus GTX 1050Ti i have version 5.3.139 of your fixer and have all settings within factory and my AA set to 8x in nvidia insp. I have AA set to 4x multi and 8x SGSS. Fsx cfg only has highmem fix, graphicsmaxload and force VC shadows, and Affinitymask of 84.
