hi, after installing version 5.2.137 DX10SF I have a problem with night lighting of fs9 AI aircrafts tail. It looks like: https://photos.app.goo.gl/2bTbD5ePRtLAheHg7 I didn't change any settings. So I returned to my old version 3.4.108 - in the photo: https://photos.app.goo.gl/k9xaMREwhFupd3wt9 I have the FSX DVD version (of course sp1 and sp2). Can anything be done? Hello Sirs I am thinking on buying Keflavik X from Aerosoft. On their online manual page 10 (http://www.aerosoft2.de/downloads/keflavikx/Manual_English.pdf) in FAQ there is a question about the compatibility of the scenery with DX10. For my surprise, it’s says NO. My concern is that I just cannot run FSX with DX9 anymore, so what is your opinion? Will there be issues running with DX10 enabled? Thanks Carlos

Hello Steve, I just downloaded and installed the new scenery fixer update and cloud shadows update. I installed them as you described but now I can not see the cloud shadows anymore. I also have installed Sweetfx 1.5. Should I delete the shader first? During installation a message appeared that I should remove the d3d9.dll file but don’t i need that for FSX to run? Thanks

Microsoft have released a new beta for FSX:SE. Version 5.1 of the fixer tests for the FSX version and will refuse to install. If any Fastspring customers want to use this beta then let me know and I can let you have a beta version of 5.2 that will install. Its a little trickier with the patching for ex FSS customers - but if you wait a week or so I will release 5.2 and a new Cloud Shadows that patches FSS systems.

Your DX10 fixer is working perfectly here... except for a new installed a/c: Alabeo PA23. The VC is OK. Instruments are OK and so are the lights. But the outside view of the a/c is flickering: 1 beat per second. Sky is OK. Water is OK. Nothing else is flickering. It is obviously only this a/c. Other Alabeos a/c are OK. Any ideas before I start playing with the textures of the a/c? edit: I have ticked/unticked just about every option that could affect the a/c textures Tks anyway, truly enjoying your product. I am having uncertain difficulty with my installation of DX10 Fixer 3.4. I have never had an issue before, so I'm a bit freaked out. First, after installation, I had to initiate an Emergency Change of FSX Directory. After install, the libraries were installed and up to date, but there was nothing in the FSX path, nor was the Change button available. When I managed to direct the app to the FSX installation, switching to DX10 resulted in this error "Error Copying File DX10 envmap..(0) System error was 3" during the reenabling DX10 Effects and Reflections process. The process completes, but I fear that this error may manifest unexpected behaviour. Do I need to…

Hi, I've downloaded DX10SceneryFixer_5_0_134.msi using the link from fastspring, but during install it is asking me to insert the 'DX10 Scenery Fixer' disk. Clearly, as a installer downloaded online there is no disk. So what is the installer asking from me? Darren

Hi guys, just built a new PC and went to reinstall and have realized FSS is completely borked now so stuff I have with their install wrappers just doesn't work. I have all the relevant order number/etc info (though my email originally used has changed but I have the original emails as well I believe). I saw another post where Steve wanted the user to email or PM him. Just asking if this is the route I should go as well? I'm pretty much stuck on my FSX install process until I either get a working installer somehow or have to I guess buy stuff all over again. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello; I have added the following to my FSX Config file, and I was wondering if I had to make the same or any additional changed to my DX10 in order to enhance the performance. [BUFFERPOOLS] UsePools=0 PoolSize=0 I know that there is a FSX Settings Config option in DX10 which lists a number of changes including (CPU manage Buffers which is checked and =1 and GPU Manage Buffer). I never applied any of the information from the DX10 config. So my question is should I make the same changed DX10 and then apply it or leave it as is since it will just overwrite what I already have. Or does DX10 also need to know that I am using UsePools=0 in order…

Hi, I decided to reintall FSX after long time not using it and I cannot longer go through Flightsim Store wrapper validation. I am unable to install version 3,4 which is the latest one I got from them. I purchased DX10 Cloud Shadows also long ago but to update to version 3.5 using Cloud Shadows 2,0 I first need to install version 3.4... so you got an idea what the problem is. Please, let me know if you can assist me in this problem. I can provide proof of purchase for both DX10 Fixer from FlightSim Store and Cloud shadows from you. Thanks, Daniel

Hi I have been experimenting the DX10 fixer with cloud shadows add on with one of my PCs and am very impressed with the results. I have noticed one thing and that is when flying through clouds in late evening and at night the stars become brighter or visible when flying through clouds, when i come out of the clouds the intensity of the stars decreases, Am using Active sky next. Could one of my settings be wrong? kind regards Daz

Hi Steve, I recently changed Nvidia drivers from 376 to 388. Didn't like 388 so went back to 376. Cloud shadows are gone. I'm not sure if the two things are connected as often tweaking here and there so they might have gone due to something else. So, steps I've taken so far.... I updated the Fixer to v4.0. Updated Cloud Shadows to V2.0. Rig is FSX Sp2, AS16, Orbx FTX, Gforce 780, 16 Gb Ram. I worked through the points in the Cloud Shadows FAQ here and have got as far as Debug mode and the flight over Brighton at 3000'. Here is my screenshot... Hi, I'm an FSX:SE user. Having upgraded to a new machine, I'm forced to use W10. I'm also a committed Scenery Fixer and Cloud Shadows customer, running the latest versions. Given that SweetFX doen't function under W10 and Steve councils against employing ReShade with Cloud Shadows, is there any available post-processing tool that provides the same functionality as SweetFX with the following combo: - w10 -nVidia 1080ti - FSX:SE - latest Scenery Fixer and Cloud Shadows? I really miss my SweetFX... thanks Andy

Hi Steve, I upgraded to Version 4 of the fixer and have an issue. The sim doesn't display the backdrop anymore, nor clouds once the sim has launched. Any ideas please and/or what other info do I need to supply? Thanks in advance. In addition, the instrument panel of the stock Cessna in 2d cockpit view doesn't display. VC works though. Here's an external view at Louisville International. My usual airport is EGCC, but that's a complex UK2000 airport. EDIT: When switiching back to DX9 via the controller, the sim works fine..

As you can see in the pic (click link below), the FSX logo bleeds through the PMDG 747-8 EFB. I also have the bleed-through problem in the PMDG 777, but not in the NGX or any other aircraft. I uninstalled and reinstalled the 747-8 and it temporarily fixed the problem, but it returned. The EFB opened in a 2D window displays just fine.I've used Steve's DX10 Fixer to no avail. Interestingly this problem does not occur with DX9, but DX9 causes OOMs with this bird so I need to use DX10.Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have any ideas? Hi, After installing DX 10 Controller V4.0, in the diagnostic dialog appeared the following messages: 1) " WARNING ! Highmemfix is not set in Fsx.cfg. May cause out of memory errors or graphics corruptions" 2) "HINT ! Aircraft self Shadowing is not set in Fsx.cfg. VC shadows will never be shown" By the way excelent product Thanks for your reply. G

Hi, I've noticed that with the newest version of DX10 fixer that after installing a new aircraft the program no longer scans and converts lighting effects to work with DX10. I'm having some trouble with a few aircraft add-ons that have navigation lights that don't seem to work with DX10. Any ideas on how I can get them working again?

Hi, purchased the controller and cloud shadows circa 12/17/2016 and have version 3.2 Have no record of where I purchased them, fastspring have been no help at all as they say the last email address they sent for another product order is not valid so I cant logon or change it or anything. Despite having good email records going back a decade I cannot find an order confirmation of this purchase, although my INSTALL directory has the install files plus valid keys supplied at time of purchase. Could you explain here or pm what to do? Thanks!
