Howdy, I have a quick question about DX10 and fullscreen, To fully use DX10 and to get the best looking experience does it have to be run in Fullscreen? I have add-ons that I use on my second monitor (to keep them out of my VC) so I run FSX in Windowed mode exclusively, will this affect my DX10 experience OR does DX10 (with the DX10 Fixer) have any issues with Windowed mode. I have been experimenting with DX10 trying to get rid of OOM with PMDG 737 & 777 using the freeware 'Fixer' in the AVSIM library. So far all is good having just done a flight from LDZA to LFPO (AS Orly + ASN Overcast skies etc) with the PMDG 737 and finished without any OOM pings at all which I could not do in DX9. The only issue I had was that during the climb and descent I noticed that some of the Orbx FTXG Autogen buildings appeared as black boxes. Is this problem fixed in the latest DX10 Scenery Fixer program? Regards Phil

Hi Folks, Well as the title says I did it......trouble is....I am not getting good results I have followed the set up to the letter and even reduced my AA to 4 ssgg and 4 in the fixer but when I get in clouds with the airbus AXE my frames are tanking! in fact my frames are not steady at all and worst of all the sim is not smooth... regardless of FPS, I only fly tubes! So I am here asking for some help please running a i7 2600 oc to 4.5 and gtx 770 memory corsair 16gb so lot of push. I know clouds are hard on the sim but I use FEX low res ones and to be truthful DX9 would hold between 25 and 29 on the ground and 29 in the air but as I fly through them the rate …

Hello, First, i have Steves DX10 Fix installed (the Payversion) since 2 days. All is with no problems. At daytime the best flying. without graphical troubles. But today my first nigtflight with DX10. and during flight always flickering and artifact in screen. any buildings from destination airport disappears and while i taxi to them, they are already there. landing lights disappears, wihle flying to them, they are then on again. whats the problem with night textures in FSX ? thanks for tipps Thomas Win7x64 home premium; FSX with Acceleration, Stefes Fixer, DX10 Mode; FTX Global....

Just wanted to ask if anyone here has FTX PNW installed and FS Dreamteam`s CYVR, my problem is ground textures at this airport are now flashing, i updated the PNW SP 6&7 and also updated DX10 Fixer to the latest version. I have removed all the BGL`s recommended by ORBX and FSDT and also made a fresh FSX cfg but i cannot get rid of this. any help appreciated. First, the options in the dialogue don't actually match what is talked about in the manual (v1.2 build 29). The actual box has "disable MSAA", "Cloud Clip", "Cloud Cull". The manual has the MSAA one but then lists "Cloud Trim" and then "Cloud Cull". To make it more confusing the screenshot in the manual also shows the same as what I actually have when running the app though. Basically I'm trying to figure out what the correct settings should be for a lower end (i7-860 cpu & GTX560 Ti GPU) running SGSS transparency AA. Previously the cloud shader only had "disable MSAA" and the description only talked about disabling MSAA on the clouds so I always just left the sh…

Hi, I bought the commercial version and I like the DX10 Scenery Fixer e. g. the graphical improvements as well as the additional FPS I get. But I have a big problem: Even after doing everything what is mentioned in this forum (following the advices how to set up the AMD Radeon HD7900 using RadeionPro and configure the FSX as well as the fsx.cfg) I am getting spikes, artefacts and complete FSX crashes using DX10. I tried every possible for the last couple of days but only with minor change. Those problems occur after a certain period of time if no AA is used and if AA is set to on sometimes the FSX already crashes after the initial loading of a flight. I am completely …

No luck with DX10Fixer rain shader, still getting black rain and cut-off effect at the sides in Eyefinity. Tried all the usual (delete, re-create. re-install). Still using Matt Nischan rain fix, which is doing its job quite well (light-gray drops and no rain cone).

Hello Steve, it is very good and nice to see you're working continiously on the Fixer. However to be aware of the right version number is always a pity ^_^ FlightSimStore is not actual, still says 1.3 So after your announcement that 1.4 is available all we can do is download install and hope that it was the right version. Wouldn't it be possible to name the file "DX10SceneryFixer1_4.exe" or sth like that. All problems solved then. ^_^ thanks

Hi I just found out amazing option in dx10 scenery fixer Maybe it is obvious to some of you but under cloud shaders there is a cloud cull option which is unticked by default - from what I've read it slightly reduces cloud complexity which are further than 10sm Now what this gave me? When using Rex direct + ASN + dx 10 and PMDG 737 NGX with 4xsgssaa my 660ti was facing 99-% Gpu usage due to cloud anti aliasing which resulted in 10 FPS. After setting cloud cull on = my sim is maxed out on the settings, Lod 6.5, enhanced overcast conditions in ASN and over 20 FPS all time, avg 35. I don't see reduced cloud complexity with ASN but I see increased perform…

Hello, Very happy with DX9 with SweetFX 1.5, I've upgraded to DX10 with the Steve 1.3 fixer to enjoy shadows in the cockpit. But, I' m unable to do SweetFX working. :( I already have a *.log that I can't remove before intalling a fresh SweetFX. :huh: Is anybody have a good idea? BugDani. PS: anyway, DX10 work very very well despite some low charging textures when I fly fast.

Hello... Since I bought the Scenery Fixer, I'm rediscovering FSX, so primarily, thanks!!!!! ;-) Now the question. After using ENB series and FXAA last years, SweetFx has become in a more stable tool than the other two, and especially, works in DX10. I've been a fan of test configurations in FSX, bout now, I have a children and I have no time, I want to fly and fly ;-). The problem is that all the best Sweetfx-FSX settings that I find are for DX9. Please, can you share your best sweetfx settings exclusively for DX10??? Thanks!

Hi guys, after reading all DX10 stuff here and on other places on the internet I decided to give it a try and spend €25 for the tool. But all in all I am pretty frustrated because the fps drops down to 10 coming from 25 on DX9. My way: 1. I did a backup of my old fsx.cfg 2. I studied the manual and installed the DX10 fixer on my second disk which contains all FSX data. 3 The installer is doing fine and so I was really looking foward to start my FSX initially. Followed the instructions given in the installer and activated missing parts. 4. Highmem=1, Bufferpools=0, and so on 4. Started FSX- it takes longer than before and accepted all dlls from all my add-ons…

Hi The following issue might not be a DX10 issue but out of curiosity im throwing the question: I have the DX10 fixer installed. At the time i installed FTX global 1.0 the road lights were working properly, when i installed the patches 1.1 and 1.2 the road lights disappeared. (PS: the city lights are working though) I installed global Vector and again there is no lights on the roads at night. I would appreciate if anyone can let me know if its a DX10 issue or not?. Hi, one of my favorite airports is FlyTampa's Vienna X. But using DX10 Scenery Fixer I do have no landing lights (white/red three lights left of each runway). Looking into the FlyTampa Forum other users also mentioned this and got the answer: Vienna X is not compatible to DX10 and we do not intend to fix this problem as we see no future for FSX with DX10. But until now this is the only real problem I have with DX10 and Vienna X. Is there any way to fix this problem in DX10 Scenery Fixer because there is the option for "compatible lights"? Can't you include those lights into the feature. Or is there a way to replace those lights in Vienna X with the FSX standard li…

Hi all, I have been having an issue at Madrid where the airbridges at Terminal 3 become in effect mirrors at night. I have attached pictures of what they look like at night and during the day. The airbridges at all the other terminals seem to be fine, only confined to terminal 3. Tried a couple of different combinations of AA (up to x4), tried messing with the bloom settings in the general shader, disabled AES for the airport, total reinstall of the scenery but the problem persists. Any help would be appreciated! If any more info is required, let me know. Cheers!

on several different airports, e.g. on FSX default airports, ORBX FTX region airports and on local ORBX scenery airports the prog. signs are visible and fine (independent from the legacy slider position and independent from aircraft ballast fix). Only in CYVR from FSdreamteam I have a problem as shown below. Strange that the signs are only visible when looking parallel to the ground surface, valid for DX10 and as well in DX9 mode. I checked also with the legacy slider and aircraft ballast y/n, but this does not help. Any good ideas how to solve this issue although only recognized in CYVR and befor asking FSDT-support directly? There is one thing I haven't done during or after installing the DX10Fixer and that is installing the shaders as recommended by Paul in the "How To" doc. I am referring to ... The latest DX10 Shader Patch 3.2.2 is here: http://library.avsim...ader&CatID=root. Do I have to do this or does the DX10Fixer do this by itself? If yes, how do I go about installing this? Quick question - is it normal that under dx10 with fixer set to 4xAA I need to set 4x Sgssaa to not see shimmering and ugly/blocky textures of PMDG 737 NGX? With anything below 737 NGX looks like it has almost no AA. With Sgssaa 4x - no jaggies but it is a performance hog for clouds. Is there any way of going around it? I tried 2x AA + 2x SGSAA - looks horrible.

Hi Steve, Every time I try to run DX10SF this pops-up, This is the first time I've tried to install it, yet no matter what I do (run both FSS installer & DX10SF as admin, disable AV, reboot after install, ect.), I continue to get the above error. I'm running Vista 32-bit SP2 and the latest version of C++ 2010.

A minor problem has developed between v.2 and v.3, it seems so far, only to affect what I assume to be .dds textures because the toolbox didn't find them and which I also assume to be modified by Aeroworx because they don't look like this anywhere else. Any idea as to which setting might make this effect go away? Many thanks, Nick.
