I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Thank you very, very much for all your hard work this year. The DX10 Fixer and the Cloud Shadows are the most important Addons for FSX ever imho. Mike

I noticed a number of my aircraft suddenly not displaying their strobe or beacon effects after installing Build 98 of the fixer over Build 96. I noticed this primarily with Carenado/Alabeo aircraft, but also with an aircraft using a custom strobe effect I made. I uninstalled and re-installed, and used the library update feature to confirm this issue. I then reverted to Build 96 and all was well again. I can't say if other effects were affected because my test wasn't thorough enough. Let me know if further information is required.

Steve as I wrote in the other post I went the hard way and reinstalled FSX. So I have Cloud Shadows in this new install until I installed FsLabs Spotlights v25. Then no more shadows  So after I throwd FsSpotlights in the pin, shadows back (had to uninstall it, a simple deactivate in the dll.xml dit not the trick) I think this is why some people dont't have any shadows in FSX! Maybe someone else can test this to? Bruno

Steve I have a couple of questions re: updating these two programs: 1. While my DX10 Fixer was purchased at FSStore where it is quite straightforward to dl new versions, the DX10 Cloud Shadows was from Fastspring and it is not apparent where I go to get new versions as they are released by you. I did just get the latest v1.2 using the link in the email I received from Fastspring when I purchased the original release but if I ever lose that email I've no idea how I could update. 2. I'm confused about how to update both of these new versions. In the previous update from CS v1.01 to v1.1 you recommended that both programs be uninstalled and then new versions r…

Hi. I notice problems with Night textures with Aerosoft Mega Zurich latest 1.04 version (it applies also to older versions). I have latest DX10 Scenery Fixer but this effects are still present. You can see how does it look at: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/99542-new-zurich-v20-texture-problem-with-dx10/ Is there any chance to solve this with Scenery fixer? Thanks D.

I am releasing version 3.2 of the fixer this week. Can someone let me know when it appears in accounts at the Flight Sim Store. I am holding off updating Fastspring until its there as it seems to cause angst if one channel gets it a few days earlier than the other....

There is a new version (3.2) of the fixer available from both the Flight Sim Store and Fastspring. Changes are: Reimplementation of V2 Transparency and the Oslo and AES indicator fixes which were causing some transparency issues with various legacy aircraft e.g Tinmouse 737. Change to the algorithm to determine fsx cfg directory. Now uses fsx-se coexistence registry setting as primary arbiter. This is I think more accurate in a small number of odd cases which the fixer was getting wrong. I believe that this was causing the CloudShadows addon to occasionally fail to run properly. There is also an update to Cloud Shadows v1.2 which you should use when…

Steve, Just reporting what could be some kind of bug. I was flying over the ocean, the sun was setting, I switched to the copilot seat camera and with my hat switch pointed the camera to the setting sun. The clouds passing over the sun's reflection had their shadows, as expected. As the sun lowered close to the horizon suddenly the cloud shadows froze in position and stopped following the clouds. When I moved the cam around, all the shadows followed, as if "baked on to the camera's sensor". If I switched to any other camera, the issue disappeared. Shadows were behaving normally. But if I switched back to the copilot's camera, the baked cloud shadows were…

Hello, Is there anything special I should take into account when installing the Fixer? Any other setting changes but the DX10 preview check?

Hello, I just noticed that for some reason the "slow snow" option for me isn't working anymore. I had to reinstall PrecipitFX because of an update and before that it was working fine and looked really nice. However, now the option isnt making any difference anymore. I believe thats a problem on my configuration and not a general one with the Fixer, but I would still be grateful for any advice what I might be doing wrong.

I hope you can help me with this error Steve, everything worked fine with 3.1 and your new cloud shadows program for a few days. Now this morning I start fsx and it immediately shuts down from an error, in the event log it say this. Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: dx10fixerlib.DLL, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x57f02e24 Exception code: 0xc0000005 I checked my fsx cfg file and its totally blank, not one entry, I cant even build a new one.

I have bought and installed DXFixer 3.1. Working in FSXA, Win 10 64. When fixer installed, FSXA works fine. When I uninstall it via the DX Controller, D3D10 does not work - FSXA is broken when loaded with D3D10 option with the DXFixer uninstalled via the DX Controller (however it works with D3D9). It loads the sim until 100% progress bar is reached, and then it freezes (does not start the simulation). The weird part is that there is no Shader10 Folder in the Local Folder, so this means that while the sim loads no shaders are compiled. Any clues? Thanks UPDATE: I also uninstalled DXFixer from the Control Panel and problems persists. FSXA D3D10 is broken.

Hello everyone, I don't know if this issue is related to DX10 Fixer, I am posting here mainly because I need help with this. Basically, at night, whenever I enter a low vis layer (clouds) or land in fog, the "sky" becomes white, as if it is day time. In clouds it is passable, as it is temporary and I can always believe that it's caused by the landing lights reflecting in cloud. But foggy nights on land become totally disrupted. I've found elsewhere that this is caused by a altered shader. Ok but I can't find the way to solve it. I've unninstalled Shade (bought from simmarket), which installed alternate palletes, hoping that it would restore things back to…

Hi, I bought the fixer last year and since then I was trying to work out the solution for myself. I wasn't very successful however, so now I'm here to see if you have any further advice. Here a couple of screenshots, so you can see what I am talking about. This example is from EDDH Hamburg, but it's the same for nearly every airport from Aerosoft and some other developers. In the first shots I have the lightfield for this airport activated. As you see, all the obstacle and blue taxiway are flashing, about once per second. I then changed the viewpoint. Now only the obstacle lights on the terminal buildings are flashing, the rest s…

Hi, I fly the Alabeo DA-42 which I love. In DX9 there are some lovely vc glass textures including perspex scattering when backlit by strong sunlight as well as the usual seat/ panel reflections. In Steve's wonderful DX10 Fixer I have some reflections but not all. It's a real shame because the sunlight perspex scattering effect is really great and I'm sorry to have lost it in DX10. Is there anything obvious I can do to get it back? Cheers,

Hi Steve, Sorry for my poor english. I've bought your software in 2014. Ï've used it few months and left simulation via Fsx to this day. Now, i would like to use A2A C172,PMDG 737 and FranceVFR Scenery. Is there eventually major incompatibility between them and Dx10 fixer ? Thanks in advance for your answer. Fred

Hey Steve, the fixer is working great, but occasionally, I am getting sort of a gilttering ground. It is dificult to make a screenshot, as it is flashing quickly. I had to zoom in to make some of the de-coloured patches visible: https://www.dropbox.com/s/y66cuwuel65oyz8/Glitter.jpg?dl=0 I had this recently during heavy rain: https://www.dropbox.com/s/o73lonij5kko38u/Rain.jpg?dl=0 Sometimes it's there, sometimes it is not. Any test I could do? Config changes? Best, Holger

Hi, I have hust installed the fixer and I'm facing a strange issue: I have white half transparent parallelepipedes appearing here and there on the terrain (unfortunately I'm not able to attach an example picture). Which could be the problem and is there a possible solution for that? Thanks in advance for the support and best regards Joe

Hey Guys, I've recently put my hands on the DX10 Fixer and since then I am struggling with having good performance on DX10! That means that I only get like 13fps in the NGX-VC when sitting at the Terminal at ENGM! I know that DX10 and espacially the Fixer isn't supposed to be THE performance enhancer but I still see the good thing in DX10 and want to give it a try! Maybe some of you guys can help me, as I know there are a lot of very intelligent guys out there! My system is as following: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit AMD Phenom II X6 1055T @ 3,4 GHz [OC'd] XFX AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition [2GB GDDR5 VRAM] 2x 4GB HyperX blu DDR3-RAM ASUS M5A78L LE Screen Res…

Hello, I recently bought this program in coordination with my purchase of FS Labs A320X because I'd read that this new plane may cause problems with VAS shutdowns. Until installing DX10 fixer, I'd never had any VAS problems. Ironically, I now have lots of VAS problems. Probably something I'm doing wrong. The reason for my post is that I can't seem to restore DX9. I've followed the instructions but when I run fsx afterwards, the scenery loading screen gets stuck on 80%. I would like to restore DX9 to check whether this improves the situation. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Bill
