I posted this over at the Milviz Support Forum, but thought it might find interest over here: If you insert "PA30" (no quotes) after atc_model= in the [General] section of the aircraft's aircraft.cfg, like so: atc_model=PA30, then ATC will correctly identify you to other aircraft as "Piper Twin Comanche", rather than "Piper <blank>". An update for the V-One Call-out Gauge :wink: The following changes are in this version release: 1) All pilot/co-pilot call-outs replaced 2) V-One XML code and sound file logic updated 3) Altitude Call-Out XML code re-written & optimized 4) Corrected setting of Airspeed Cursor when SP177 is in use during approach phase 5) Added Call-out sound toggle for: 'All', 'Altitude' or 'Off' (box in upper right of Data Card) 6) Added 'Current %N1' display to Data Card Now available in the Avsim Library. Hi, I understand that the Beaver comes with a Wx-Radar. I selected that Option in the install process and in the MVAMS. The gauge appears in the panel, the switches have sounds with them but nothing happens, no matter wich option I choose. I downloaded the update in the morning, but it didn't make a difference. GPS and, when installed, GTN 750 work fine. Any ideas what could be wrong?

As the title says - as soon as I set-up initial flight, and click Load Flight, I get the CTD with this aircraft. I've tried other aircraft, even the 310R Redux and it works fine. Any ideas? Thanks for the help!!!

I have bought the fantastic DHC3 Turbo Otter for P3D V4.3 and have another small issue. If I turn the HEADING and the GYRO DRIFT knobs using the mouse wheel they do not work. Also using the RIGHT and LEFT mouse click staying on the knobs...they do not work Note that if I do the same with the ATTITUDE CAGE and ATTITUDE CALIBRATION they work porfectly What am I missing?

Good morning to all, I have just purchased the fantastic DHC3 turbo otter I like to fly with "analogic" cockpit ...for this reason I have selected the NAVSTAX radio equipment I am not able to switch them on??!! I am familiar with the A2A sim and I know how to use them...but here if I try to rotate the OFF knob to switch them on...it does not move. What am I missing? Thank you

Fascinating video by a very credible 310 owner/pilot as he walks through what is involved in owning and maintaining a 310. I fly this hobby real time, real weather. Yesterday, fighting 30+ MPH headwinds at all altitudes on a planned flight from KESN, Easton, Md. to KBMG, Bloomington, In., I saw I was running short of fuel to make my destination, and also saw weather at KBMG was at minimums. Ever since I started logging hours in the 310R Redux I have had trouble with the KAP 140 autopilot disengaging at what appeared to be at random. For several flights early on a year or so ago, it appeared to occur about two hours into flights. This past week I closely watched some Youtube KAP 140 video tutorials and noted that changing some avionics settings or applying some control inputs can cause the KAP 140 to first enunciate an issue, providing time to react. Hi, Just started discovering the Milviz Beaver and I really am enjoying it. I find it quite different from what I am used to fly (mostly A2A aircrafts, from C172 and Comanche 250 to Spitfire MkII and P51D). I did some bush flying around Papua New Guinea, altitude bush landings and so on... Real challenging. I got a few questions: I found it really hard to have enough motor power in altitudes around 6000ft. Take offs are taking a lot of distance, more than the C182. (Of course I lean mixture.) Also climbing can prove super difficult. Is this normal behavior? Also, I’m looking for flying tips, especially landing tips. I have some diff…

Hi. I get a nose gear fail light every flight. I extend around 220 kts. The gear stays down and locked and lands fine...But the gear horn is sounding during approach. Any ideas? Thanks.

Just installed the 310 Redux on P3D 4.3. Can't even load the airplane, it crashes the sim immediately. All instructions for installation (run as admin, AV disabled, etc) were followed. I load P3D with a default flight using the stock Baron, all good - then load the 310 and the sim goes "not responding" for a few seconds followed by CTD. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi there, Using the Milviz/ND Chinook in FSX:SE. All works fine when I load the a/c with the engines already running, however the rotors won't start turning when I try a cold and dark start. The engines themselves turn on (as I get oil temp and N1 increase) but the rotors remain stationary. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi Folks, Are these screens normal for the GTN cold and dark setup ? Seems to me they should be black... They power up OK once I start the plane... Just purchased the aircraft so I believe it's up to date... These are the F1 units as configured via the MilViz tool... Regards, Scott

First of all let me say that the 310R is a beautiful aircraft to have in your fleet, there is nothing on the market right now that can match a twin prop with this amount of quality and price, it's truly an award winning job by Milviz. I wanted a twin prop "trainer" type aircraft with an A2A type of quality and the 310R redux just fits what I was looking for. But because of certain physical liabilities I can't fully use a yoke/pedals at the moment but enjoy flying a quality aircraft like the 310R and I would rather fly than not at all. I have windows 10, nvidia 1080ti, using FSX Steam, and Flight1 GTN 750. MilViz DHC-2 Beaver and Cessna 310 R lite. I have selected the 750 in the MilViz Add on Manager. All is working fine but No traffic is visible on the display map but traffic is enabled in the Menu. Also the traffic icon is shown at the bottom of the display and has an x through it. If I select the 650, traffic is visible in it and no x through the traffic icon at the bottom of the screen. In default aircraft when using the F1 CONFIG V2.06 as long as I select the unit 2 GPS display I have traffic but not if I select unit 1. Hi everyone, I have flown this plane only a few times. Weather bad here today 300-500 overcast, and i want to get panel lights and instrument lights on. The only one that seems to work is the radio light switch. Have read the book, and looked here at some light questions and answers. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get the other rotary light switches to work? A second question: If anyone was programmed the Brunner yoke to the 310R i would greatly like to see the programmed features uploaded to Brunner cloud. Thanks!
