Quick question. Operations centre tells me there is an update available for both base model and -300 model. It says to log into my PMDG account, look under previous orders and from there, download the installer. Unfortunately, it's not obvious to me on that page where the download is. Does it mean just click on the original download link? Thanks in advance for your help.

Afternoon all, I am looking at buying the 777 for P3D, Do you have to buy the 777 200 base package first, and then purchase the 777 300 after?? Thanks in advance Edit - Or can you just purchase the PMDG 777 300 without the 200 package

Hi all, anyone who reads this forum and has Prepar3d but does not have the Triple 7 is missing out. Honestly, if your a big jet kinda guy the Prepar3d Triple 7 from PMDG is hands down THE BEST aircraft I've ever flown in my simulator. It is simply smooth, reacts quickly and realistically (functions and navigation in the VC), flies like a dream. I expected high quality since it has PMDG stamped on it but this blows away my FSX PMDG 737, MD 11 all day, and any other add on for that matter. Thank you for this wonderful aircraft and please anyone just buy it, you cannot go wrong.

This is a mundane topic and requires no reply. I just want to thank PMDG for producing control numbers for just about every button, switch, axis and instrument. Also, there are local variables to get the state of most of these items. It made setting up controls for the plane a relatively painless experience. Thank you. Now I have to learn how to fly the thing...

Hello! I've been playing with the 777 in FSX-SE since the update for ASN came out, and I just noticed something. I have the option "FSX PLAN FILE FOR WX" set to "CREATE AND LOAD TO FSX". The software actually does create a .PLN file, but I've found that it places the file in the Legacy FSX Files folder instead, resulting in the flightplan not being imported to FSX-SE and, subsequently, to ASN for .WX file generation. I'm running the latest version of 777-200LR (build 6320) and ASN SP2 Beta on FSX-SE Mode (build 5527 (I just got aware that it's already outdated)). Has anyone else noticed this?

This can be done in the sim if you've tried it. Page 24 of this FAA document (pdf) says, in regards to the GE90-115B engines on the 777-300ER: "cannot be started simultaneously". Searches also show that this seems to be correct, including from PMDG's own tech team. PW engines can be started both at once, but thats not modeled nor available on the 77L/W So, how about it? Can the GE90-115B be really started simultaneously or not? How come we can in the sim?

Hello all, Sorry in advance if this is the wrong way to post on avsim because this is my first time posting on here. So I am a full on x-plane user for years and after watching so many videos of people fly the pmdg 777 I had to buy it myself. Once a load up the 777 in fsx:se none of the buttons work and the landing gear is missing and the engines are missing the blades. I know I am doing something wrong I just can't find it!. Please help because I just spend 90 bucks on the plane and really want it to work. Thank you, -Leo Brougher

I finally decided to go ahead with purchasing the 777 today, I managed to get the bird off the ground just flying around above Belgium as I really wanted to see how it performs fps wise. FPS has been quite ok actually, tbh better than expected as I was very concerned that frame rates would be so bad that I would end up having wasted my money which I definitely did on airliners in FSX, I'm not opening the champagne just yet but so far so good. The problem that I'm having so far though is not really stutter or low FPS but actual freezes, P3D just freezes for 2-3 seconds all together and then just kicks in again, I don't have to do anything for this to happen, even statica…

Be easy on me, This is my first post..... Ever, I have a landing/take off distance question. I own the 737 NGX and the 777-200. The 737 NGX uses more runway for Landing and Take off than the 777. The 777 can land less than 4000 feet. Is there something wrong with my install for the 777? I am only assuming being that if it is a heavy the landing distance should be at least double that length. Next question, I was thinking of buying the 747. Is the landing distance more than the 777? When I land I want to feel like it took some effort to stop and I can land the 777 shorter than my friends in a 737. Thanks for any help or manual adjustments that will help. Do…

Hi guys. I am currently unable to access my manuals and I just landed from a flight from Miami to Rio on a B772. The STARs that link to the most commonly used approach to RWY15 are rather steep and usually present an unusual challange to crews in terms of energy management. Today I was seating right at the trailing edge of the right wing and noticed that the crew had the spoilers up to pretty much flight detent all the way from around 9000' to gear down, flaps 20 (somewhere around 1500-2000'). I remember from the 737NG manuals that spoilers should not bet used with flaps setting greater than 5 (or 1 - can't recall exactly). Does anyone know off the top of their …

Have spent a fair bit of time on this without a solution. After a reinstall of windows 7 and FSX-Se, I have a superbly functioning set up...except for the 777. Ive always used a USB headset and had all the cockpit click/switch sounds come through my headset but now they are going out the main speakers. Ive checked my Win 7 speaker set up and its normal and surround sound isnt selected. Anyone have any ideas what I could do here?

Hi, after about 2 weeks of testing with P3D, is it possible to establish with a certain degree of confidence if the 777 in P3D has generally lower or higher fps than in FSX in the following 2 situations? 1. With *more or less* the same settings as FSX (scenery density, autogen, shadows) 2. with the same settings as FSX *plus* cockpit and cloud shadows. P.S.: Please, don't say "lower fps but in P3D lower fps are more fluid than in FSX" - 30 fps are 30 fps, no matter where! Thank you.

A great weather engine and the best airliner I ever used with MSFS - this 777 - make handling in FSX simply astounding, and what I think ( never having flown more than a LevelD Airbus A320 sim under very nasty gusting winds ) is an extremely / unique sensation of being there! I really do not have the time, nor the will, to give this remarkable model the correct use, and even bought the -300, but in fact I keep using the 200, cargo and 300 models solely on short circuits, usually around airports with reported significant weather. All I can say is that the handling of the 777 is absolutely AMAZING. Contrarily to most FSX models, which pretty much help creating that …

It's just a minor annoyance w/ GSX which asks you to remove wheel chocks, then promptly chastises you because you've also released parking brakes. Thanks in advance

Good Afternoon Everyone! So hopefully a quick question for the community and or staff team: - What's the best and most accurate method for importing wind data into the FMC? I'm currently running Prepar3d v2.4, ASN, and of course your gorgeous 777-200F. Thanks gang, Benjamin J. Berenson
