PMDG 777

I'm having a lot of problems getting the aircraft to use the axis I assign in P3D. I have FSUIPC but I'm just using the calibration feature. For some reason, some of the throttle axis I assigned only move the engine reverser levers. The rest of the axis don't do anything. The strange thing is when I go to calibrate in FSUIPC, all the throttle axis are correctly assigned (ie: when I move assigned throttle 1, I see the numbers change). I made sure I didn't actually assign any throttle axis within FSUIPC. Also, I don't have this problem with default P3D planes. Has anyone seen this problem before?

Recently, the first picture of a BA 77W flight deck was uploaded on A.net, and it seems to be of one that was recently delivered. On that particular aircraft the clocks are not the of the stand alone types found to the left of the PFD but instead the are the ones integrated into the PFD. I was just curious if it would be safe to assume that the other options are the same and just the clocks are different?

This is a quick tutorial on how to setup and use PMDG 777 SP1 Datalink function in conjunction with PFPX and ASN in an integrated and automated workflow. This is simply a suggested workflow that I use, I don't claim that this is the only or the most proper workflow for integration between those applications. This is a issue I have both with the 737 and the 777. The normal light pattern should be strobe - beacon - strobe, but from time to time, I only have the strobe lights illuminating. Looking at the plane from spot view, I will see the normal pattern for about ten seconds, then the anti collision beacon fails to illuminate for a few seconds before coming on a again. So, normal for about 10 seconds, then no beacon for about 5-10 seconds, then normal again. Dear all. Yesterday I was planning a flight from HKG - YYZ in P3D When I hit pushback, I suddenly saw that the plane did not move. First I thought it was the pushback that failed. But I could move from the gate with engine power either. I then switched gate, same result, I then moved to the runway, not even full power got me moving, but the wheels were spinning though! I restarted the sim and everything worked fine, Upon landing the auto brakes did not work, it switched off and also the manual brakes did not work 100%. Braking later while taxiing, the brakes worked ok. My question is now if there could be some friction issue with the P3D version of the 77…

This is neither here nor there, but a thing I'm curious about... On the STAT page during APU start, when APU is switched to ON the lowest I've ever seen the APU Oil Temp at is ~50C, regardless of ambient temperature (during long turns the oil temp would drop to ambient). Once the APU EGT starts to rise the Oil Temp starts to rise from ~50C as well, pretty much immediately, leading me to think the simulated APU is coded to "rest" at 50C when the APU is off. Is this a limitation of the PMDG 777, i.e. APU oil temp dropping to ambient is not modelled, or is there something in the real aircraft that prevents readings below 50C on the APU oil temp? In any of my 777 airplanes that I used .ptp to install with the Operations Center I have loss of clickspots with several switches on the overhead. This is not an eyepoint issue. I moved eyepoint forward and problem still persisted. Issue also presents when on the 'overhead' view of the VC. I did a full uninstall and reinstall with SP1d which didn't fix the issue. Switches affected (known so far): Battery, APU Gen, EMER LTS Switch and guard, PASS O2 guard and switch, APU fire handle, cargo fire swithes, L R Center and Xfeed fuel pumps

March 11, 2015 Amazingly the spoiler detent keeps staying in the middle from the moment I load the 777 cold and dark until and at all timrd during the flight. I cannot get the spoiler to keep stowed.. Whenever I attempt to stow the spoilers, be it with the "shift + /" keyboard command or directly by the detent in the plane, it remains stowed for a few seconds and automatically gets back in the middle which obviously triggers a warning "spoilers extended". I stow the spoilers again but the command gets back to the middle, again and again. Whatever I do does not correct the problem. What do I do wrong and what should I do to get the spoilers to keep stowed when …

I thought I'd dip my feet in the water of the freight world and was wondering if there are any specifics to think about when flight planning, etc. I use SimBrief as my flight planner. What is a typical cargo load on the 777-200 (I'm thinking FedEx, not that it matters)? Thanks, Todd

Hi. So this has been a really old topic: After reinstalling the T7 for some technical issues, the sounds in the FSX/sound/PMDG/777x is apparently unhearable. I'm having the same problem with the 747x, and yes, it is a legitimate copy of the T7. I would appreciate anyone who can help! It's a really beautiful bird! when trying to install the pmdg 777 i gets pop upp window from direx9 web setup who sais comand line option syntax error type command/? for help then i press ok and the instalation completes, without any activiton key required. then when i try the plane no buttons works and no wheels. have windows 8,1. does someone no how to fix it or have the same problem?

I used to use pmdg t7 all packs successfully in fsx and fsx se then I upgrade my system and after that I m unable to install T7 300er successfully. Sometimes it install in fsx and some times in se edition. I tried simconnect in Se when I installed in fsx so that installer install in Se but nothing happens. I downloaded both files from pmdg site today base and expansion and tried installing but same issue however base pack works fine in both Sims I dont know where I am going wrong as this procedure is pretty straight forward. And tried to raise ticket at Pmdg support but at the end of message body and attachments I can see only 2 buttons BACK and START NEW no submit ?…

Am I correct in believing that EZCA is not available under P3D2.5? I see Kyle in videos moving his views within the cockpit without apparently using EZCA. Is this correct? Presumably he uses the space bar + mouse to achieve this? I want to see if I can obtain pre-set cockpit views using my keyboard without using EZCA. Setting keyboard keys to panel views within P3D.Options.Settings.Controls only gives 2D panel views. There must be a better way! Any help much appreciated.

Good day. I flew the B77W yesterday (Sunday). No issues. This morning I load it from yesterday's (arrival) saved airport list and i get a beautiful plane with no wheels and a dark cockpit... meaning inactive screens. I hear click spots when I click and so forth. The JS4100, the NGX and the B744/8i all load and work fine. I always start FSX from (one) airport with a native FSX Piper Used Trainer - BEFORE - loading anything else. This has worked for like forever... jus tlike yesterday. HI, I just recently had the PMDG 777 and also the 300 ER. I have been trying to study this aircraft and it is amazing. I usually start as cold and dark. After everything has been set up (or so I think so), i move my controls (Saitek) and check them and they work. But as I start pushback (GSX), the controls stopped working, and I get stuck after pushback. (I also start the engine in this point) Is there something I missed on the startup procedure that may result to this, or is this a bug?

In the 777, specially on a landing with gusting winds and shear, one that should probably be abandoned, and the type I mostly seek during my short simulator sessions using the Search function of ASN, the "BadBadWeather" site or Sky vector, sometimes it happens, when the AT is already disengaged and I am flying manually, that a sudden shear causes the speed trend vector to point way down the Ref speed, and the AT kicks IN in THR REF mode - from there on, if I am stupid to not go around, I have to disengage the AT again, most of the time to experience the same even nearer to the rw threshold...
