PMDG 777

Minus FS2 Crew availabity, does anyone have accurate Captain/First Officer flows for the the 777 that covers all phases of flight? If not that, and comprehensive and thorough beginning to end checklist? I know the systems are far more automated than the 737 NG, so I'm assuming these checklists aren't as long.

A minor glitch which does not appear to affect performance. The AI aircraft identifiers in PREPAR3D (such as, "Acme") show through the PMDG 777 panel on my setup. Thanks. PS: I received a message that this topic could not be posted due to forum problems, but here it is!

hello everybody .. I bought the PMDG 777-200LR but actually I face a problem with my PMDG 777/200LR in FSX:SE .. whishes when I stars the multiplayer season all the panel is black and I cant press any button in the all plane .. but when I start it as free flight its working very well .. I try to remove it and uninstall it and reinstall it again but same issue every time .. so can someone advice me how to solve this problem ? THANKS .

Hi all, I've been using the PMDG 777 and it's an amazing plane. I did notice an interesting thing happen recently, I was performing a CAT 3 landing, had LAND 3 in green with FLARE and ROLLOUT but as the minimums came 50, 40, 30 there was no FLARE and quite the hard landing even though the Autopilot indicated a green FLARE. I haven't tried another landing since but haven't had this issue yet. I did just install FS2CREW so perhaps a setting? let me know what you think! thanks!

Hey there, I just purchased the new P3D 777 and tried to install it. But there was now window asking me for my activation code / license - the installation continued and got no errors. After starting P3D I can choose the Triple 7 but the cockpit is dark, landing gear is missing and no buttons can be pressed (seems like a problem with the registration and activation). I did a complete and clean new install of P3D v2.4 with no other addons before starting to install the 777 (because i switched from FSX which got uninstalled completely before). As I study up on the systems, I noticed that the 777 has auto antiice detection and the flight software activates and de-activates wing and engine anti-ice as needed based on detected conditions (I'm assuming OAT/TAT and some sort of moisture sensor). Has PMDG been able to incorporate any detection of icing conditions? I know the simulation can sense the temperatures, but can it detect "visible moisture present"? If not, then should we set anti-ice to on when conditions dictate? I'm guessing that the limitations of FSX make this a manual operations (we pretend we dispatched with the ice detection INOP), but I thought I'd ask in case PMDG managed to work some magic.…

Hey, I'm currently 507 nm out from JFK, managed to take off from Heathrow, keep my triple 777 in the sky during heavy turbalance (ASN - was the most tense 5 minutes I've had) and perform a fuel dump for the first time. I'm using the last leg of the cruise to check over the approach chart to JFK, I admit it's the first time using one, however I get the jist of it and I've entered the correcg height restrictions and speeds into the FMS. I'm guessing the fmc alter course and tracks as necessary or is this something as the pilot I should do? I've done the tutorial autoland, however as I am lookig to dive deeper into the craft I'm getting a little tetchy with reading a chart. …

Hello! I've bought a PMDG 777 addon for FSX SE but I've entered the activation key and it was working fine. I've erased the entire hard drive because of the technical problem of my computer. I've reinstalled the operating system, FSX SE and PMDG 777 addon. I've reinstalled the PMDG 777 but the entire instruments are offline. I've opened the popup function box but it is turned out blank. RTE2 ETP / ETOPS ALT / ALT PLN: When flying ETOPS sectors, I use RTE2 for my ETOPS alternates, ETP(s) and finally the route from my destination to my alternate. It's a good way to visualize the escape route, if something happens over the sea. Since I started flying the 77W, and updated with the lates SP, I've had problems setting the departure and arrival airports int the RTE2 page 1. I get "invalid" when I try to lift dep/arr ICAO to 1L / 1R. Never had that before. I then tried to "Route Request" and picked my original route into RTE2, and that worked fine. Good afternoon T7 Pilots, I recently read through the last tutorial put out by PMDG, I think it was v1.5. The tutorial walks you through an IAD departure with great detail especially in the vectoring procedures in the D.C. area. Where do you find this information? I'm very familiar with IFR plates but I've never seen any SID/STAR go into any more detail than just "expect radar vectors prior to XXXXX". In airports such as JFK and ORD where vectoring is a very complex and necessary method of operation, I'd love to know how they do it. Hi all, just out of curiousity: I recently saw a video starting a CFM-engine in an airbus during outside temperatures in -10° C or less. The oil pressure rose significantly until the oil warmed up and became more fluid so did no longer create this overpressure. Since I see so many exciting indications on the T7 during engine start (VIB high at low rpm for example) I was wondering if there is some system in these very engines to avoid this overpressure or if this is a shortcoming of FSX. If I recall correctly, if you start an engine in one of A2A's airplanes at low temperatures you also have to wait till the oil pressure drops from increasing oil temperature. …

Has anyone used the Virtual CDU with the P3D version of the 777? Does it work? I have the Samsung 8" Tab 3. and it says it is compatible with my device except VAInterface version 2.3 or later is needed. but there is only 2.1 v on their site to download. Hi. I've bought the PMDG 777 + 300ER expansion. Everything was fine until I bought the Saitek pro flight system. I don't know if the yoke has something to do with the issue, but after loading the sim with the 777, the sim crashes every time before initialization. I have try repairing and uninstalling, but it doesn't work. If you have the same issue or a solution. I will be very graceful. Thank you. So flying into Rome last night I had a crazy tail wind. Hit Mach 1.029 it read out on the display Mach .1029 Just happen to see that and wanted to let PMDG know that. This was on FSX. Jon

Hi, after 4 hours enroute time EDDK - KMIA my 777 suddenly stops following the NAT route. Somtime after 5130N the plane starts banking heavily turning 90° to the right, than back, overshooting and the same to the left. It even does not follow HDG SEL immediatly but takes 1 or up to 2 minutes to finish the turn and to eventually follow the selected heading. Headwind is steady with 60 kts (before 90 kts) from the left. Disconnecting A/P or inserting the waypoint again as direct to did not help. Never had this issue before. Could it be a LNAV issue?

Hi PMDG'ers Anyone come across this problem at all? 777 2 OR 3. I can load a FP into the FMC and can use either the request or type in manually everything apart from when i get to the Init Ref Page. For some weird reason as soon as i input the V speeds or press the accept area the Sim crashes to the Desk Top. Never happened before the update to the 300 version but both versions are giving me probs. Any ideas out there. Many thanks in advance. Kind regards Pete Sumner

I was just wondering if you guys, at any point plan to put an EFB in the 777's. Right now, I'm a victim of the Windows 8.1 glitch with FSX, and if I click out - like to pull up a chart - my joystick isn't recognized until I restart the simulator. I don't own an iPad or tablet, so I was just wondering if I could get feedback on this. Thanks!

Today I started a flight with the 777/300. I set an altitude of FL360. Once I was about 1000ft from the TOC the aircraft went above by a 1000, and then tried to correct it self and went below by a 1000. This happened for about 100miles. It then settled down and maintained the FL of 360. Does anyone have any ideas why this happened pls Darren Crosby

Hello, I want to use my PMDG 777 with Vatsim, but there are a lot of controllers with frequencies ending in 2 or 7. However, I can only tune my radios to the nearest .25, so I can't tune to the correct frequency. An example of this is when I fly to New York, the Centre frequency is 125.82, and I can only tune to 125.825 and that doesn't work. I'm sure it's something simple that I'm missing, but how do I tune to frequencies like those?

Hi, I recently purchased the 777 for P3D. This is my first PMDG aircraft. I've noticed that the external animations are very jumpy and not smooth as I believe they should be. Here's a video showing what I'm seeing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbRVggRV1LQ. Notice the gear extend/retract and speedbrake animations. It's almost as if they are playing back at a much lower framerate than the rest of the sim. Additionally the engine fan animation is noticeably not smooth. As you can see, my framerate is good, remaining at 40fps or above externally. I'm not pushing crazy graphics settings and sliders are mostly set to around the middle. Animations on other aircraf…
