hi all! a week ago i've bought a PMDG 777 and the first problems started! one i installed it i couldn't do nothing, start up, touch the cockpit instruments and retract the gear. in the download foulder there is written to do this: Correcting this problem is very easy! 1) Navigate an explorer window to this folder: <FSX:SE root folder>\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib (By default the <FSX root folder> is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX) 2) Run the SimConnect.msi installer file inside the folder by double-clicking. 3) Navigate to this folder: <FSX:SE root folder>\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnec…

I'm having the FSX version of PMDG 777-200LR installed When executing the new update I have 2 options: Repair (same as install the update on top of the current version??) Remove As it is I already chose Repair, but not 100% sure I did the right thing, even though the OP center now says that I'm having the latest version 1.10.6492 installed. The "Repair" process went extremely fast which makes me kind of uncertain if everything really gonna work as it should? It would have been nice with a few words in the readme file about which option to chose in order to simply just make an update.

  4. Hello everybody! I really love my PMDG T7. Some time ago, i saw the the "Ground Maintenance" options in the FMC. It´s possible to change the tires, brakes etc. with these options, but my question is: When do i need this features? Normally, i making a flight and end the simulator after i arrived at the destination. While there is a maintenance option in the FMC, it seems to me that it´s necessary to change the tires etc (making the whole maintenance) after a couple of flight hours with this aircraft. Does it mean that the "deterioration" of this aircraft for each livery, for example, will be saved a kind of an .ini file? Or is this maintenance feature just necessary i…

Hi, I would need a Copilot retracting automatically gear and flaps after take-off. I am considering to purchase FS2Crew 777 but aside from the checklists and passengers announcements, it is not clear to me if it can do what I stated above.

Hello, Looking for some assistance. Due to corrupted software I had to do a complete re-install, which I feel was successful. I am keeping to the original FSX installation with acceleration. Installed 737ngx and inserted routes which were saved successfully. however. went through the same procedure with the 777 but routes are not being saved in the 777 flightplans folder. Can anyone come up with an answer. Regards. Richard Welsh.

So in addition to FS2CREW, and excluding some basic keyboard commands already found in the FMC, and after trying my hardest to understand the PDMG dev kit, I was wondering if anyone out there has/can come up with a simpler way to assign keyboard commands to switches and knobs that can then, with the aid of Voice recognition, be used to 'speak' to do that action. For example I say " switch engine 2 fuel cut off" which is... i dunno for the sake of argument ctrl alt 2 I will never have to touch the keyboard/mouse again... or even for when entering DATA in the FMC, prefix everything with for example "push ALT NAV", "push FMC 5" so on and so forth. I know some pe…

To accomplish a full removal and clean install of the PMDG 777-200LR/F, follow these steps: 1.Uninstall the product from Control Panel\Programs & Features. 2.Manually delete the PMDG 777-200LR and PMDG 777F folders in FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes. 3.Manually delete the FSX\PMDG\PMDG 777X folder. 4.Manually delete the PMDG 777-200LR and PMDG 777F folders in C:\Users\(Your Windows Username)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\SimObjects - You may need to enable the Windows folder option "Show hidd…

  12. I tried to do a flight with the 777-300ER today, but I have no luck in starting the right engine of the plane after multiple trials.I presume it is because of the failure of the fuel control valve,no fuel was drained from the right wing tank.I got N1 and N2 ratation, normal EGT,oil pressure, etc, except fuel flow.I got ZERO fuel flow on the right engine.I've checked the failure page in the "PMDG options",but nothing was showing active. So I am writing to report this issue to the PMDG team.I also captured some pictures of the panels too,I just don't know how to put them on here. Thanks!

I have had the 777 installed in my Boxed version of FSX for a while. I recently switched to FSX Steam edition. I uninstalled the 777 and the expansion and reinstalled using the new installers in both the Boxed version as well as the Steam Edition. Trouble is that when Ioad a flight up in the steam edition I have no SIIDs or STARs listed for any airport. I have updated the AIRACs to make sure that was not the issue. The FMS shows that I have the lates AIRAC cycle loaded but no airport has SIDs or STARs. I have tried at KORD, ZSPD and EBBR. So far. Anyone had this problem?

  15. Hi, To know the version installed I hit on the FMC: PMDG Setup > About It only says version 1.1. So I cannot know precisely which Service Pack is installed? Is there a way to know precisely which service Pack is installed? Also I wonder if the Service Packs are cumulative. For example if I want to make a fresh install, I need to install only the base package and the latest update? I do I have to install all the updates one by one?

Hey guys. I am having a little issue here. I have the downloaded version of the 777 with the expansion pack. I was notified in the OPS center that there were updates. So I went to PMDG and redownloaded the files again. Well this time I got the DVD version of the 777 base package. I have never gotten a DVD installer package from PMDG before. Will this mess up my 777 as it was a downloaded version?

I had a great experience this weekend w/ the 777LR on a long run from KABQ-WSSS. I was taking off from KABQ's (Albuquerque, NM) runway 8 full of fuel for the 18.5 hour looooonnnnng haul. The weather was good, but a look at the SIDs for the airport warn of "mountainous terrain, all quadrants", a few miles from the end of runway 8 are the Sandia Mountains, clearly visible as I rolled down the runway. The takeoff roll was uneventful, but i was relatively tense as I was hand flying to 10,000 feet and the LARGO TWO departure calls for a vectored 180 degree turn right after takeoff. At some point after liftoff and cleanup I noticed a yellow "TYRE" message popup on the …

Hi, I have a problem with the 777 which occurs temporary and i just want to know if someone else has it. The problem is that suddenly in flight the aircraft stops to hold course, speed and altitude. The Autopilot is still engaged, but it seems as it stopped to work. I opened a support ticket one year ago and the advice was to change CMOS battery to solve the problem. I tried it, but the problem was still there. I got a new computer but the problem still exists. I have one guess for a possible reason: FS Real Time. I'm using this program for a while now when flying through time zones. I'm using the program with other aircrafts like the 737ngx and the proble…

I wasn't sure if the real thing does step climbs in the flight plan. So as per this How would you set it up so that at the waypoint you want to step climb, you can place this plus the cruise speed in that waypoint? It always comes up with Invalid when you try to manually input this. The aircraft step climbs when it thinks it should. I take it the subtle difference is the real world flight as above would have ACARS data fed weather information and flight data more advanced than what we input into FS. I normally put that above plan through PFPX and save the flight plan to load as CO route.

Download from my dropbox here. Just thought I'd share for anyone not as accustomed with EZCA tool to design your own camera set. Don't forget to run the EZCA config.exe after you've installed any new aircraft. The cockpit views are bound to keypresses 1 to 0, which have a sequence I myself find very intuitive while going through flows and checklists and such. Also shift+2 and shift+4 you might find convenient. Outboard views are bound to keypresses ctrl+1 to ctrl+0. I claim no rights to this file, use and modify to your liking. Enjoy!
