Hi everyone, I am now flying 777 freighter in the FEDEX livery and have a few questions is their a dedicated cargo forum out there do I have to park up at a dedicated cargo parking area as I do not need an airbridge, how can I just call up just he steps my location is their a program out there like GSX for disembarking cargo an finally as I am flying FEDEX where can I pick up a non stop route from EGLL(Heathrow) to KMEM (Memphis) home of FEDEX

Hello, Can anybody help me with the parking brake please? cannot set it for more than a second and it will release again. Ive tried with my joysticks on and off, setting null zones in the pedals, checking for conflicts, reassigning the control, etc. and nothing works. This is in Prepar3d and in FSX. Thanks in advance. Good evening everyone! I have flown the 777 (PMDG) for couple months. As I come from the 737, I still a bit skeptical about how the trimming should be performed. So far, I have read FCOM's, I have checked on YouTube videos about it, also I have checked across PPRuNe, but I have not been able to really understand the logic which is behind. Statement: I understood that on 777, pushing the trim switch located on the yoke does not make the stab moving directly -- as it does on 737 --. Instead, it changes the trim reference speed, the speed which is targeted by the current configuration by the trim. For instance : I am at FL080, and I want to descent and keeping the …

Hi , I had downloaded the 1D installer from the pmdg site for the 200LRF and 300ER. When I run the installer, I get two options, remove or repair. Since I am only upgrading I clicked on repair for both the installers. Is that the correct procedure, or should I unstall first and reinstall all over again. I dont want to lose my existing setup, configuration etc. And if I need to uninstall before I reinstall, should I remove using the installer or use windows control panel uninstall ?. I ran the rapair and it kind of completed in 2 secs, so not sure if I now had patch 1D or if I am still in 1c. Thanks Hari

Ok this is getting frustrating. I can't even get FSX to load now. WHy is RAAS causing FSX to lock up on load and how to I fix this. I downloaded the 5.1 sound set from the PMDG Op center, but halfway through the download it got stuck at 0kb speed, I tried cancelling, and nothing happened, it just said "cancelling". I then closed the Op Center, and started it up again, but now 5.1 is available for me to select, even though it didn't download the files correctly. How do I reset it so it downloads everything again? Thank you, David Lee

Hi all, Yesterday I decided to try a #1 eng fail at V1. I selected the 777-300 in P3D at LHR, selected 350 ton GW, Max fuel load, approx 150 ton. Took off 27L, eng 1 failed at V1, I continued the takeoff, the thrust assy control upon eng loss was incredible to see. Made handling the dead eng so much easier. I then cleaned up and entered a hold. Carried out the eng failure chk list. Decided to fuel dump and return to LHR. I had set up the A/C option for auto MLW fuel dump option. So it automatically worked out I'd need 48 tons left to be at MLW. Fuel dump commenced, however the issue i noticed was that the fuel dump time said 400 mins! It stayed on 400 min until centre…

This is a problem I just can’t understand. Use these figures as an example. At takeoff the PROGRESS 1/4 page shows an ETA of 1615 and 23.5 fuel remaining at destination. 12 hours later, the ETA has gone to 1645 and remaining fuel is 27.0. So the time in flight has increased by 30 minutes and the fuel remaining has increased by 3500 pounds. It makes no since to me. Is there an explanation?

The 777 fails to respond to my CH FlightSim Yoke – no movement at all. As instructed in the 777 Introduction, I’m using FSUIPC to assign buttons and calibrate my CH FlightSim Yoke and CH Pro Pedals, but have assigned all axes through FSX (SE). Just to make sure, I deleted FSUIPC.ini and allowed it to regenerate, to purge any problems from having previously assigned axes in FSUIPC. Doing this had no impact that I could see. The yoke works fine in the PMDG 737NGX, but NOT in the PMDG 777. And on the 777, it’s ONLY the yoke that does not respond - the buttons on the yoke work fine. When flying a SID that has altitude or speed restrictions (I often fly out of EGLL on BPK/BUZAD/CPT), I was wondering what the correct SOP for ATC instructed commands are. For example, CPT out of EGLL has 6000 feet restriction at Compton that ATC will often allow you to exceed. I see two options in the 777: 1: Select the cleared altitude in the MCP and select FLCH to fly to it until you are passed CPT and then resume VNAV. 2: Remove the restriction in the CDU LEGS page and execute it to remain in VNAV but allow the climb. Either seems to work, I was just wondering which is the real world procedure, or is there another procedure I can't see that is actually used? …

I've been through many trim related discussions but have not seen a report of my current issue. Frequently the Alt Trim handle will spike to the full nose-down position. This behavior occurs either during the initial takeoff roll, or (most often) during final approach; it's frequent enough that I have one of my interior views centered on the handle so that I can anticipate and correct it before digging a hole in the runway B) I've updated via ops center, have no axis assigned to trim (via sim nor via FSUIPC, I use keyboard cmd), etc. Further, I've not even found an option to shortcut an axis or command to the Alt Trim handle. I have the 777 -300 ER, with the exterior 5.1 enabled in the operations centre configurator. However, inside cockpit or external views my side speakers don't produce any sound. I have checked control panel see tings on Windows 7 and when I run the test, all speakers work. Its just that when I am in fsx I don't get the side speakers produce any sound. I have a 5.1 sound card and use Logitech z506 speakers. What am I missing. I checked the pmdg sound setup via FMC and its all setup properly. Anyone experienced this ? Thanks Hari

I've been practicing the Roaring Fork Visual Rnwy 15 at KASE ... did the usual trick of saving the flight through FSX and then reloading ... PMDG is great about reinitializing ... anyway ... after loading the flight I have to wait 18 seconds for the plane to start back up. By that time I'm down 300 to 400 ft. ... I lucked into a solution. Most of you probably know this trick ... but I found that if I press "Y" ... or slew mode ... everything freezes ... the countdown ends ... I press Y again to get out of slew mode ... and my plane is up and running ready for another go at a challenging visual approach. Just thought others might get some use out of this information.

Hi all, First time properly posting here on the AVSIM (& PMDG) forums. I've been flying the -200LR/F for quite some time using TOPCAT's PMDG 777 profiles for getting assumed temperatures for take off N1 reduction values (is that the correct term?). I was wondering if there is any ywa I can figure it out the same sort of numbers for the bigger -300ER? I presume the profile from TOPCAT cannot be used with the -300ER given the -200LR is a smaller aircraft. If you have any recommendations for software or tables where I can get this information, that would be really useful. Thanks! Andreas

I have installed, uninstalled, deleted files, cleaned the computer registry and done everything concievable to unregister the PMDG 777-200LR and it refuses to do so. This has caused a registration problem with the PMDG 777-300ER. It polls for the passkey verfication and then it simply doesn't work. No access to either one. I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and what the solution is.

Hi guys , yesterday i was performing some go arounds but can t get the toga button to work as it should be. My situation , Desending on the ils with autopilot on , loc and gs captured ,mda set , vref set , fma shows spd loc gs in green and rollout flare in white . At 400 feet , autopilot and autothrust still on , fd on , i push the toga button or the screw but nothing happens FMA stays in spd loc gs When taking off the toga button does work .
