PMDG 777

Is it necessary to completely uninstall the original box version before installing the update? There is no information on the Aerosoft site on how to update, just a link to the download zip. TonyMerry

Hey guys, I wanted to know if anybody has created custom viewpoints for the PMDG777 in P3D. I'm not referring to EZDOK i'm talking about the built in views within P3D itself. Every time i create a custom view by using the menu (right click and go to custom camera) when I reopen the sim it's gone. Is there any way that i can add additional views other than the custom camera ? Regards

Hi all, Just gave in and bought the p3d 777LR package which runs on windows 8.1 and high level processor stuff I'll spare the details on. first and foremost, the displays are very blurry. It COULD be my monitor, but a secondary one had same results. tried playing with display settings and no luck correct it. Second, upon autopilot disconnect on final to EGLL (with aerosoft EGLL), I was unable to silence the disconnect alarm until engines shut down at teh gate. Any idea how to clear that error out?? Been doing long hauls with the 777 for quite awhile now. I've noticed recently that the frame rates while landing are quite a bit worse that on takeoff. Haven't noticed this before. Wondering if it has something to do with the latest update.

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, so allow me to introduce myself - I'm Mike, and am a CRP for an Asian carrier who flies the triple seven. Love the triple you guys have made! I used it for my initial training and still use it often to keep myself current between flights. Anyway, I just wanted to confirm with everyone- is anyone able to change the origin field of RTE2 while in the air with the latest update of the B777? I noticed when I'm flying the 777 and have my headphones plugged into my Logitech G510 keyboard, I can hear the sounds in the Razer headphones, but can still hear the sounds in my two Bose speakers. I don't have that problem with any other plane in my hanger including the 737.

I am getting every flight with 777 in FSX-SE "R6025 pure virtual function call" error. This error only happens, when I fly PMDG777. My flying time is really tight like most people due to real world time constraints. I rarely ever turn the sim on during the week and only get air time on weekends. This weekend my son had a basketball tournament which was going to keep us away from home all Sat. afternoon and most of the day on Sun. So at 8:30am I preflighted and by 9:30am I departed CYYZ (Toronto) enroute for VNTK (Kathmandu) with Air Canada 911 a 777-300ER. Hi folks, I am just performing LFPG-AFR54-KIAD (with 77W instead of 388...) and I encounterned the HYD QTY LOW L and HYD PRESS PRI L failures. According to the non-normalchecklist switched off the PRI L pump. My question: Despite the fact (?) that the hyd fluid quantity indication reads zero, the pressure still states 3000. Why? No fluid, no pressure... Thanx in advance.

Hi I've tried using the middle mouse when to turn all three landing light switches (and others) on/off together, but when pressing ('clicking') the middle mouse wheel I get the magnifying glass with a 'plus' in it. Left or right mouse clicks toggle the lights on/off individually as normal but I can't seem to be able to toggle them 'all at once' as per the Manual. Any ideas....? Thanks.

Hello guys, I recall this problem existing a while back for the 777 when it was released and it was fixed with a hotfix if I recall correctly. Recently, I've had the caution light problem. It illuminates after I start the second engine; doesn't matter which is started the last just that the caution light illuminates then and cannot be extinguished.. I have a custom panel state every time I start my sim up as this was said to eliminate this problem.. I'm really not sure what to do and any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi everybody, I'm having that very annoying issue with the PMDG 777-200LR and the 300ER as well... I launch FSX, I load the 777 with any livery: so far, so good. I can previsualize the plane in the preview box without problem. Then I load the flight, I start in the cockpit, everything's ok for 2 or 3 secondes, then it freezes, and FS crashes and closes. Hello, I have some early findings of a potential memory issue in the 777 since the update (running version 1.10.6492). I am well-versed in what causes OOMS, how to prevent them, etc, and have never seen my sim OOM under these circumstances. I selected TXKF-KEWR route, weather was clear and beautiful around Bermuda. (I made five test P3D flights every one ended up with OOM crashes.) Hi, Everyone I have a very strange issue with key assignments via FSUIPC (4.939j). When I tried use A/T TOGA via FSUIPC P3D crashes. Default CTRL+SHFT+G works, shortcut on MCP also works but joystick key assignment via FSUIPC does NOT. Why it's strange and looks like a bug? Because in PMDG 737NGX TOGA works. I am a long time user the the PMDG 777 and I am not a pilot so please try to help me out with long time problem. I know this should be an easy explaination - yet I can't fiind the answer on the forums. On an ILS approach that I am hand flying, I have the glide slope and localizer captured. I hit the APP button to to get the flight director to guide me. I notice that the flight director is in disagrement with the glideslope - If I use the FD - I'll crash - If I use the glide slope/localizer ticks I am right on. I know the APP is active as the greenlight on APP is lit and the magenta direction "thingy" sweeps to match the runway direction. What am I doing wrong? …

I need some help. I have just installed the 777 under FSX:SE and when I enter the destination airport (CYVR) I get the above message. I am using the latest AIRAC cycle from Navigraph (1504). I am not sure what the error message is saying but it appears to think that it should have a rwy 12 at CYVR and it can't find one. (In fact there is no rwy 12 at CYVR.) I have tried running makerunways.exe and I have deleted the ARPT_RWY.dat file but neither of these suggestions have worked. (These were suggestions from other threads I have read.) The strange thing is that when I run the 777 under FSX Deluxe on the same machine with the same navdata file I don't get the error. The…

Hi, In PFPX, when I push "Take-Off", it does open the TOPCAT window and many data are feed automatically from PFPX such as the runway or the weather. I do not understand why I have to enter manually the Take Off Weight since the data is available in PFPX. Any idea or advice is welcome.

I've finally got a chance to fly this plane, all I can say is wow. Interesting problem though, I got that master caution bug when starting the second engine, but I did not use the C/D panel state. In fact the first thing I did with the plane was to load in the default state with engines running, and shut everything down by following the FCOM procedures through the Securing procedure. I saved a panel state, and set that as the startup state and always start from that. Hi all, Does anybody would be so kind as to sending me a PFPX polar route file (fly over Greenland) from CYYZ to VHHH so I can import it into my PFPX? I found some routes on Flight Aware such as this one: click here But it is a bit tedious to recreate in PFPX. I tried the Route Editor but apparently there is no search engine to find easily each waypoint. So one has to watch closely the map, search visually for each waypoint among the many ones, then right-click to add to the flight plan.

I tried this question at ASN/HiFi and struck out. Winds aloft by route waypoints can be requested in the FMC by selecting RTE DATA> on the ACT RTE LEGS and WIND DATA REQUEST> on the next page. After several seconds you are prompted to LOAD and several seconds later EXECUTE. How often are the winds aloft updated so that it makes sense to request the winds? To me it seems about every two hours give or take an hour. If there is definite interval is it tied to UTC time, flight time, or something else?
