PMDG 777

Hello, When I fly the 777, unlike the 707 I flew, the trim seems a bit sensitive and anti-intuitive to me. Since I'm new to aviation those behaviors that feels strange to me might be perfectly normal and basic but I still want to know why that happened. So here are the scenarios: 1. Once I made a departure, climbed and then reduced the thrust, leveled the plane at 250kt, then the aircraft started to have a tendency to slightly pitch down, accelerate and sink. To prevent this from happening I need to constantly put back pressure on the yoke. Now if I add the throttle a little bit, it won't stop the plane from dropping and I will also begin to build up more speed. …

My PMDG Operations Center tells me I have installed version 1.10.630 and 1.10.6492 is available. I click on the "download update" icon and it brings up the update instructions to log into my account an redownload the installer. I've done that several times, modifies the 777 files already installed and still I see the Operations Center message telling me I'm still on version 70 and available is 92. Why won't it update?? Gents, I did my first YSSY-LOWW with 3 auxilary tanks on the LR yesterday and noticed auto-step-climb stopped working, when reaching FL340. It worked fine between FL 300 and FL340, but when the 77L should be leveled at FL380 already it still was at FL340. (P3Dv2.5; W7 64 bit, ASN) Btw. if someone else experiences G2D events with the last Nvidia WHQL driver, give it a try to go back to 347.88 WHQL. Do I need to uninstall my 777 before I install the latest version? Or can I simply run over the top of the existing version?

Hi, I tried to find something in the FCOM Vol. 2, here on AVSIM and on some other websites, but didn't find anything about "how to reset the ET on the digital clock"?

I've had this issue since using the PMDG 777 updated to the latest C patches with a fresh install of FSX with DX10. The background panel area lighting of the captain and first officer chronometers are brighter than the rest of the panel. I've adjusted the lighting via all the various cockpit controls with no avail. It seems to only happen with the digital version of the chronometers and not the old standard units. I've uninstalled FS2crew and it seems to me that FS2crew is the culprit. Anyone else with this issue or know of a fix? Thanks.

I have searched far and wide and read through countless tutorials and can't find find instructions on how to add an ABOVE and BELOW altitude restriction on the FMC LEGS page. I can easily add speed and altitude constraints for either an ABOVE or BELOW altitude restriction but can't break the code on adding the ABOVE and BELOW restriction. I see them on many STARS (like the SADDE fix on the KLAX KEACH1 STAR). Can someone point me to a document or video somewhere that covers how to do this particular type of input? Thanks!

Good evening. I was attempting to uninstall 777 from my FSX so that I could reinstall a new version. I received an error message that stated that I had insufficient privileges to uninstall certain files. This was a surprise to me since on my Windows 8.1 system, I am the administrator and I used "Run as administrator" on the setup program. Any help would be appreciated. Bob Jones

Hello, After finally getting the 777 (-200 and -300) installed and activated it I have run into some problems... The first problem being that is crashes ALL other addons (eg FSUIPC, GSX and EZDOK) The second being that the throttle dose not respond to movement on the joystick. Third is that the elevator doesn't work even though the yoke is moving (hydraulics are on) The final problem is with the ailerons: they appear to work on the flight controls page, yoke and model but do not effect the aircraft in the air (I had to slew up) oh and.... the rudder doesn't work either..... Eventhough I have FSUIPC I dont use it.

Ok, I've tried to figure this out but I can't so I'm hoping someone on here will be able to help... So, when I'm programming the FMC for a long flight and there are planned step climbs, I go to the way point in which I must climb and put in the new altitude followed by an 'S' for example, I may put '/370S' and this works as it should, i.e. it will change all the following way point to 37000FT. The problem I face is with the auto step climb feature. It simply does not work when I turn the feature on. So here is a quick example. Im flying LAX - DXB. I purchased PMDG777 a few days ago, It is amazing and I love it very much. At the beginning everything is OK, but after sever normal flights, something strange happens. Every time after taking off (altitude above 100ft), the airplane falls in stall-status immediately. and the stall-speed displayed on the PFD is over 170kt, even when fuel < 10% payload = 0%(flaps = 5).I have tried to solve this issue, reinstall FSX (DULUX + _ACCEELERATION), only PMDG777 are installed, but the issue still remains.So I have to refer to support forum.Any advice or help are appreciated. Evening fellow simmers, I have a small issue with my 777. At night time, the textures for the trailing edge of my aircraft seemed to be corrupted or not loading properly. This happens with all the liveries within the 200 and 300ER. I've tried to reinstall the liveries, to no avail. I love the pmdg 777 but it has a Mind of its own, the auto throttle kicks in when ever it wants so I disconnect it but seconds later auto throttle kicks back in If you could help me please that would be great Thanks anyway -lewis

Hey guys I am looking for some help. I am constantly getting a ctd near my cruise altitude in both the 200 and the 300-ER. Usually if I let it be for a few minutes it unfreezes but this isn't always the case. I tried Googeling the issue with no luck. I am thinking it might be an issue with FSX.cfg. Any ideas?

Hey guys, I don't know if this has been solved or anyone else has experienced this but pmdg 777 house works fine, however as soon as i download liveries from the manager I get a black screen on the aircraft preview then fsx crashes. The things I have tried are as follows: - run as administrator - loaded a default aircraft first - can't update AMD drivers cos I don't have those drivers, only finds my intel one Does anyone else have any suggestions or recommendations to get it working? Recently I have upgraded to P3D & also purchased PMDG 772LR extension. As per page 21/22 of PMDG's Introduction Manual I created a Folder C:\P3D & everything is installed there. Today I have purchased the 773ER extension & when I try to Install it I receive the msg "Unable to locate Prepar3D.exe.Unable to Install" The download notes say the Registry needs correcting & to log into the Customer Support Forum. Have done this & am unable to find any help as you can't "search" the Forum. Can anyone provide me with any assistance as I wish to fly the 773ER? Otherwise someone will need to refund some money. Checking to see if a recent 777 failure event was realistic or an anomaly. With random failures enabled (1 per 10 hours, no limit on count), I lost both primary and both secondary generators at once. The RAM air turbine automatically deployed; I started the APU and got most power back. A general question: Is this in fact a realistic failure scenario or more likely a quirk? A more specific question: As part of this event, I lost both port (left) side fuel pumps; presumable the APU/RAM combination would not power them. The port side tanks subsequently would not feed fuel even with all crossfeeds enabled. Is this expected behavior in this type of event?
