PMDG 777

Although a long time user of FSUIPC, I am unsure what are the functions of FSUIPC that are required by PMDG 777 and why. Is it acceptable to not use FSUIPC at all? What effects would this have on the use of PMDG 777?

Dear fellow Avgeeks; Today for no unknown reason I have been experiencing random VC freezes in my PMDG 777. After about one hr into the flight, I cant use my mouse anymore. I cant look around. If I click on something for example A/P it will still stay illuminated but in reality will disengage. My Yoke and pedals and throttle quadrant I can still use, but everything else that has to do with keyboard and mouse does not respond including FMC. Did any of you experience anything similar? Any solution? Many thanks. My PC: W 7 64bit GTX 760 FTW 4Gb I7 4790k FSX SE Steves DX10 fixer.

Firstly, I've been lurking here some time and have found the answers to all my questions without fail. Except the following question... which makes me think that I'm simply doing something wrong that nobody else is I've been working through Manual v1.5 and noticed a reference to "FSX PLN FILE FOR WX" on page 7/7 of FMC, PMDG SETUP>OPTIONS>SIMULATION. However, I only have 6 pages and don't have that option. I checked in PMDG Op Centre and have Version 1.10.6492 which the software tells me is up-to-date. Hi, I desperately need some assistance from you kind folks, every time during the flight and during the very start of the aircraft actually loading the textures of the aircraft and wing view seem to be blank after a while but only cockpit texture showing how would I ensure the textures are always presently displaying? Hello everyone! I´m a little bit confused about the actual range of the Boeing 777-300ER. I red that the -300ER has a range of about 7,930nm with 365 passengers. Yesterday, i tried to load up the weight of 380 passengers with their luggage (380x190lbs + 380x66lbs = 97280lbs). I loaded up about 11032lbs cargro into this aircraft, too. All together, i had a ZFW of 479500lbs. After that i wanted to fill my tanks with the needed fuel for my long flight from Duesseldorf (EDDL) to Jakarta (WIII) but for this 6068.5 nm flight, i could not load enough fuel. Hmm.... isn´t this strange? Or maybe it´s my fault! ... could someone tell me the actual range of the 777-300ER wit…

I have installed the 777 for P3D and find that it is easy and great to fly. A very nice product. However, it will intermittently freeze when I fly her. I have an i7 CPU [email protected] 12 GIG RAM with a 64bit windows instillation. Hopefully there is an answer somewhere for this problem. Yours truly & sincerely, lionelr

Hi all I recently made a clean install of Windows 10 on a new hard disc, and all is fine - with one exception: everytime I start FSX I now get the following error message: 'The FS2AUDIO.DLL Failed to load with Error Code 0x7e. Be sure the FSAUDIO.DLL is in the \Windows\System32 folder, then restart the application.' The problem is that this file doesn't exist anywhere in my system, and never has. In Win7 all was fine, despite it having no FS2AUDIO.dll either. (I still have my old Win7 hard disc with all programs, and made a search). I have tried the following, without success: 1. Hi I was wondering was there an update for the 777-200LR as I am having issue with the LNAV VNAV command which fails to initialise when selected. I am also trying to manually set the heading ie 230 but fails to initialise on that heading target. Kind regards Rayek C.

Hello, I have some difficulties with the yoke movement in the VC with my FFB FlightIllusion Hardware (FFB yoke). With the NGX there are no issues at all, all animations are seen. This hardware is controlled via FSUIPC with an extra software from FlightIllusion. Furthermore it is more important to know that this yoke is NOT seen in the system as an HID (Human interface device) in the device configuration of my PC). As said, this device is 100 % working with the ngx. So I studiet the manuals from the 777 bit I cannot see any hints why I do not see the animation of the yoke in the cockpit. I've had it happen a few times recently, but the 777 on P3D (haven't tried in FSX) will suddenly go full throttle not too long after I initiate a descent. VNAV will be enabled, I'll set an altitude in the MCP, and push the ALT knob to initiate the descent. Not too much later (within a minute or so) the throttle will advance to full on its own and I have to bring the throttles back manually. I looked in the FCOM and couldn't find anything describing this behavior, but I may not have been looking in the right place. Am I hitting a bug or is this expected behavior? If it's the latter, what's going on here?

Hi, everyone, Today I had a rather perplexing event. I was in cruise, Route 1 active, everything OK. Then I modified a STAR and runway with transition. In the course of doing so, I realized that I had somehow selected Direct to a waypoint in the STAR, thus wiping out the intervening enroute waypoints. To solve this problem, I loaded the entire route in Route 2 from disk, moved the next waypoint aheadof my position up to be the active waypoint (rather than the first waypoint going back to the beginning of the flight), and activated Route 2. The aircraft followed the route OK in LNAV, but would not engage in VNAV. No altitudes were showing on the FMC legs…

Good morning, I had connected to the net my FSX:SE running PC last night and the PMDG operation center noticed me that new updates for my hangar (777-200LR and 777-300ER) are available. I could not understand what kind of, but it looked like strange. I have just seen in the PMDG official website that last service updates available for 737NGX and 777X are 1d, which are currently installed on my rig (I can run either 737NGX and 777X on FSX:SE). Has the build no. maybe changed? Where can I find more detailed information about the updates that PMDG operation center is giving me notice? Thanks a lot, bye. I am trying to find some software that has good window views and maybe some additional effects like sound effects for FSX, something you would likely see in these realistic FSX videos, but not simply the templates they include in video editing, something you can use in FSX.

Engaging LNAV and VNAV is no problem. Pressing the LNAV and VNAV buttons a second time or a hundred times does not disengage it. I have to change modes or disengage the autopilot altogether. Anyone having this problem?

Hi All, Today I did a flight from LFPG to LFMN, on the ILS approach, the 777 captures the LOC and G/S of the RWY04R of LFMN, but when landing, it lands not on runway but near it. I don't use scenery for Nice Airport ( LFMN), and it is the first time i face this problem. I am yet to try a long distance flight with my P3Dv2 777. Was thinking about a KBOS - LPPT, with ASN feeding the weather, to test stability and OOM / CTD robustness :-) What was your longest issues-free ( from the software execution point of view ) flight ?

I have one problem with this beauty - during final approach or taxiing after landing or even after quitting, my Prepar3D is crashing, with abnormal code 0xc000041d and faulting module "unknown". I'm focusing on 777 because I have it only with this aircraft. It's not a VAS problem because I was monitoring VAS all the time and it was ok. My specs are Win7 Home Premium (it have 3 days, freshly reinstalled), IntelCore i5, GeForceGTX760, 16GB RAM and Prepar3D v 2.5 Did you maybe meet similar problem or know how to solve it? Hello all! I was flying EGLL-KPHL in the 77W earlier today when i noticed that the pmdg sounds suddenly stopped. These are the pmdg specific sounds, button presses and so forth. I tried to press Q twice and that does bring back the FSX sounds but not the pmdg ones. I have also tried going into PMDG settings in the fmc and changing and changing back to my headphones in there (which usually fixes this problem) but it still doesn't work. This is my first flight in windows 10, and my impressions are positive so far. But if this continues I'll have to revert to 8.1. Thanks in advance!

Picture speaks best: L ENG HPSOV VALVE... Now, after some net reading I found out that this valves being stuck in open or closed position should have affect on the bleed air system (too much pressure or respectively not enough). On the center display both duct have same pressure even though I would assume the left one should show some abnormal figures given the fact L ENG HPSOV has failed. Any further info whether this failure has actually an effect on the plane?

Hi, Took a bit of a gamble and upgraded to Windows 10 last week in the hope the joystick disconnect issue would be resolved (which it is) but now struggling to resolve a new problem. I've got a 3 screen setup running off a Geforce GTX 970 and generally put the 2d panel popups on the left and right screens. Since the upgrade they don't entirely work any more - see attached screengrab. The content of the popup (no matter what panel) left/top aligns and flickers at constant rate and panel like the CDU are unusable. I tried a few things (e.g. latest driver, followed the nvidia recommended settings pinned to the general forum) but to no avail. Anyone any ideas how to r…
