Like many, the Boeing 777 was really the first aircraft that got me interested in aviation. Nothing is close or has come close to its size and abilities, and because of that, it really is a remarkable feat of engineering. Over the last several months my interests in aviation have move from general aviation back to commercial aviation. Much of this is due to the fact that I now work for a company that is producing major components for the CFM LEAP engines which will be powering the A320Neo and the 737 MAX and the Boeing 787 landing gear. So I have a big interest in the manufacture of aircraft. The other day I found a gem on YouTube that I would like to share with …

I saw G-VIIR look just like this.... only in a very pretty red, white and blue I didn't get to see all these views when flying out to EGKK, but actually FLYING the 777 to EGKK more than makes up for that!

Me being a bit of a techy, this feature really excites me for various ungodly reasons  If you go to the Atln page, you'll see the FMC automatically picks Alternate airports - these are also viewable on the ND with AIRPORTS selected and have an 'A' around the airport donut. However, you can add your own alternates and get very precise fuel and time calculations. But that isn't what gets me ticking - it's the fact if you're heading within a 180 (thereabouts) degree radius of x-airport, they'll appear with arrows to airport with the ICAO and Nautical Miles.

Hey guys- I just got done watching a new DVD by PilotsEye.TV for the second time. It's from an Aerologic 77F trip to Hong Kong (VHHH) from somewhere in Germany. They actually go via Italy on the outbound - however I cannot remember the names of each airport for the life of me. I preordered this a month or so ago and was pretty excited - however expecting 80% of it is spoken in German became a concern. I was happily surprised when less was German and more English used - even when not, the subtitles are extremely easy to read and keep up with what's going on in the flight deck. It's a completely different ball game than the JustPlanes DVD's, which I myself am …

Hi guys, I am still quite new to this forum and to PMDG as well. Considering I bought the PMDG 737NGX a year after it was released, I've never witnessed what it was like when the anouncment came for the 737 to be released. So my question is, what was it like when Mr. Randazzo finally released the 737? Was it spontaneous or anything like that? And was it on the basis of announcing the beta and what the testers are doing now, for the 777? Regards, Trystan Bates

After the onslaught of screenshots over the last couple of days, I am immensely excited to say the least. One thing, though, that I've been wondering about is the livery options. I am curious as to how many and which add-on liveries will be available on the PMDG website when the T7 is released. The NGX had quite a fair bit, although there are far more operators of the 737 than the 777. I don't know if the beta testers have access to the add-on liveries, but if not this can remain as speculation until release. Keep the pictures coming and hope release isn't too far off!

I know performance (as in FPS, fluidity in FSX) is a tricky subject and highly variable. However, can any of the beta testers comments in general on how the T7 is performing on their systems? I've been expecting it to be roughly similar to the NGX. Is this true? Is it better or worse? Just curious to get a ball park idea. Thanks for any input from the beta team. Eric Szczesniak

Just wondering if any of the testers have found any errors or bugs so far? As much focus has been given to this plane, I would probably think it's as close to perfection as possible.

Hello everyone, i´m so happy that the famous T7 is really close to release. One of the first things i wanna do, after a test flight, is to create my own wish livery. Here´s the question: When did we get the paintkit? Will it be easy to use? I just loved the paintkit of the PMDG 747. It was very ease. The paintkit of the NGX was nice, but a little bit more complex. Yes, i have got photoshop, so i´m able to use complex paintkits, but i´m afraid that i cant create my own liveries, because the repaintkit is too complex! It would be awesome if someone could give me an answer!

This obviously has a 0.001% chance of happening, but what if someone paid $165M for the 777 Base Pack a few months ago? I would hope someone from PMDG would answer this odd question...

Hello! If this isn't really classed as something that should be posted here, admins please take neccessary action 1. I'm not a beta tester! 2. I'm not new here, just not really that active in terms of posting Well, as a way of becoming an active member, here is a video of a BA 777 departing Tampa for London Gatwick that I filmed just the other day as I returned from my holidays. See you in the skies, Sam

Hello Beta team, When this turnaround feature was anounced i was going through the roof! Now that the beta testing has begone i was wondering what the team thinks of it? I really appreciate your input. Thank you in advance for your replies. How do you experience its working? And what about its setting up? How far prior to your arrival do you set it up? And is it externally modelled aswell? Thank you so much! RGS,

To PMDG or Beta Testers I have several quite long (2000NM+) routes saved for my PMDG B737, will these routes be in a format still usable with the B77LR/F? Many thanks for your input. Barra Aka Tim Carter

Hi Gents, I can not wait for this amazing aircraft to arrive on my hard drive. Just one question from me I am definitely not concerned about silly frame rates. With every new plane I purchase I do however check the fluctuation of the frame rate counter because that gives me a fairly good indication on how smooth the flight experience will be. With this in mind just how smooth is the PMDG 777 experience ? Cheers, Rick Melcher

Will the B772 support up-linking from the airline dispatcher using PFPX directly to the PERF INIT, TAKEOFF REF, DESCENT FORECAST, RTE, ALTN, ALTN LIST, and WIND pages?
