PMDG 777

  1. Started by RiceySpicey,

Well apparently the NDA's have been lifted and testers are now allowed to post their own screenshots and videos!!! Kudos PMDG - fantastic idea. Here is one I just found by Frooglesim on their Facebook page (with some help from Peter Wright and Luke Pabari of course)! First ever 777 video in action! https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=y3_u5fyxurM "CONFESSION : It is highly unusual in the world of commercial products for developers to lift gag orders on testers early. Typically those gag orders prevent testers from telling the world they are even testing let alone provide any kind of detail on the product under test. PMDG are so con…

With the 777 going to be the biggest release in flight simming this year, will there be more hardware? Currently it's mostly for the 737NGX (MCP, EFIS, FMC, overhead, throttle etc) from places like Opencockpits, Fly Engravity and CP Flight. Will they start to develop hard ware for the 777?

  4. Folks, I was onboard AA78 the other day (AA's new 77W's are AMAZING) and was lucky enough to go air to air with an American Airlines ( New livery) Boeing 777-223ER. Amazing! It WAS a lot closer, but Heathrow Director finished their coffee break and realised the situation, and had to seperate us out, just as i was reaching for my camera. Heres the video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQNxv5hWP_g

Any testers tried this yet? lol On a serious note though, I hope all the testers, as well as the dev team have a smooth ride through the final phases and wrap-up before final delivery. I'm ready to sign the paperwork and authorise the funds transfer and pick up my new plane at KPAE sometime THIS month hehe. In the meantime I look forward to reading the ever enthusiastic beta tester thoughts and reviews and drool over the stunning shots and videos they release.

  9. So, RSR has stated that the last thing he thinks we want is a video, because it will take away precious time from development and "internal testing." So, we've seen photos of both the inside and the outside, but we don't know what it even sounds like! Most, if not all of us would want to know. I don't know a ton about it, but it can't be that hard! Record the sound, and upload it. Unfortunately, some sound quality will be lost in uploading, it always ends up like that, I'm not sure why. But, most of us here want to hear the sound of the soon-to-be-released PMDG 777X! ~Thanks for your consideration. This product will be amazing on release!

Addons in use here: PMDG 777-200LR/F Base Package Orbx FTX Global (ground textures) SceneryTech North America (landclass) Ultimate Terrain USA X (vector data) FS Genesis USA 10m (mesh) Opus FSX (weather) REX Essential Plus Overdrive (cloud/sky textures) This shot is completely unedited aside from the border and logo.

I am going to create a bunch of forms for testing your proficiency in the 777. Mainly I will gather the annual tests that line Captains do (such as EMERGENCY procedures which are the most important) and will put them in a document. Then we can encourage Virtual Airlines to bring in this system. Not only would a flight be carried out but a simulator check ride for your understanding of the 777. For example, has anyone even tried to do aborted takeoffs? What about engine out past V1 and you must take off? What about fire? etc etc you get my line of attack here. So, not only will you be doing your own flights, but if you haven't passed the check ride on your emer…

  13. You know who I'm talking about? That tall guy from Germany (like myself!!!) who finally became #1 in the tennis world rankings. The bloke this song was all about "Boris is G E I L "? No, he's NOT dead. So, why would I mention him here?!? See, when this lad was still young (about Luke Pabari's age today ...), he had a goal. He was mentally set, concentrated and firmly aimed at achieving that one very goal: Becoming #1 in the tennis world rankings. Before he finally succeeded everything was fine with him. After achieving this at last, he would all change: Looked like he lost track in the following years. No goal anymore, no self-discipline, no rules ... and ev…

Hi guys, I could not find any other appropriate thread to place them so made this topic as well (please don't shoot me). I took these two videos my self yesterday at EKCH. The quality is good although sorry for the small handshake and snapshots while filming (this was my first spotting with my new camera the Canon Rebel T3I - new to this world of DSLR) :-) And as a huge fan of the Boeing 777 and PMDG, I just wanted to show you guys the videos and make the time go, waiting for the beauty of PMDG 777. The first one here is Emirates 773ER This is the Thai 773ER I hope you liked them. :-) Best regards Jakob

Dear guys 1-MY question may sound little weird but its the place to ask questions Since I started flying on FS I always get confused in the best view to be set in the cockpit, whether its captain or f/o seat what am trying to say, what is the exact best angle to put your view in the VC to actually simulate the view of the captain, the right place for your head and how much do u pan the camera to be able to see the PFD and ND, i understand that during cruise or when the a/p is on it doesnt matter because the pilot usually is looking all over and monitoring all the gauges but i want exactly at the time he is actually flying and he has full control of it, what g…

I was toying with the idea of putting out some voice over tutorials pretty soon just going over some of the Systems, Synoptic's & Panels. All of the information I will use will be from Boeing & Real World 777 Pilots who are willing to give me a hand. They're just going to be enough for you to get into the 777 and know what does what. It's an extremely smart aircraft! I'll be using photos, diagrams and maybe using bits from another developers 777. Let me know if you'd like them and I'll get working on them. I'm extremely enthusiastic about the product and aircraft so I'm willing to put a fair bit of effort into these. I already have some videos planned …

I know other users are really thinking the same thing, but they are so afraid to voice their opinion because they are afraid of being BASHED by other users. WHY is there no news about the 777? It's almost 2 YEARS after the NGX, and we still have no update or anything on the 777, I like how PMDG claimed that 77 won't take nearly as long as the NGX, well that certainly was a lie. I would really like to still be young and be able to fly the 777, not old and in my 90's before it's released. Please, since Facebook users ruined screenshots for us, could you atleast post some here???

Wanted to share you this pic of a private LR. i will try to find out who is the owner and ask them to buy PMDG's 777 for the well known 165  a new livery to be added to the list.

  25. Hello, PMDG team, I've a simple question. If you'd please answer it, I'd be appreciative. It's a simple yes or know answer. No, I don't want to know when it releases; when it's done, it will be released. McPhat... Their textures really woke up the 737NGX, the 747-400, and the MD-11. For those that don't know, they are more than a simple repaint. While PMDG does a great job with the technical portion of the aircraft subject (I would say impeccable, but there's always a naysayer in the crowd), the liveries and details are flat. I'm not talking about the VC, just the exterior of the airframe. VC is superb. I have no interest in getting into the politics …
