PMDG 777

  1. Boeing recently announced 2 New models of the 777. I certainly would love to have the 777X modeled and I hope PMDG can work with Boeing to make these 2 new models for us to enjoy. Comment below if you would like to see the 777X modeled.

When released will the 777 come as box version as well? I prefer this with big projects. PMDG is usually pretty good about this! Thank You Dakota Lowry

  4. Hello fellas, After a recent debacle about facebook (which I kindly like to ask you all not to continue here), I have decided to consolidate all preview pictures here, in this thread, for future reference. I will update this as new previews come out. As I am a relatively new member, I hope I am not breaking any forum rules by posting these pictures here. Onward to the pictures! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHANGELOG/UPDATES: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------…

  5. I have a high end computer with an Ivy Bridge i7, GTX670 and a sea of 64Gigs of RAM to swim around in. I can set all of my settings to full with XPX64, and fly the most complex aircraft available for that sim, all day long without the least hiccup. With FSX, if I set my scenery to the minimum required for airports like what are available by FSDreamTeam or FlyTampa, without any AI active, and fly a 250 mile trip with an aircraft sim equal or any more complex than the Maddog, I will get an OOM error before I start the final approach. Why developers continue to provide complex simulations for an antiquated 32 bit program like FSX, without providing their customers or pote…

  6. There is an active thread in the Hangar forum and there is no need to post here. Posting here about this is "off topic" and will result in a topic delete, as we have done now with four or five. Thanks for your cooperation.

Hello everyone I am not directing this question to get any release date or so, just can you inform us of the release process? I mean what are we going to expect? A teaser? More previews? Or just the release of the product? And how you plan to release? Tells us how many days before hand? Or same day? One more question that is irrelevant to the first one What is the exact sequence of engine start in both 777 and the 747? Is it company options for the sequence? Does it change from one airline to another? Thank You Moe Elkarout

Hi Guys! I'm afraid to make the second step before the first, because the LR ist not yet released, but i wonder how the developement of the 300er is going on. It's my absolute fav. 777 and i just saw another justplanes which showed again the pure beauty of this plane. I'm not asking for a time frame, but i'm just curious about the developement. Are there any showable pics of the exterior model? :Peace: Thanks a lot in advance Chris Thiel

Does anyone have any data/load sheets and real world freighter plans for the 777 that they maybe able to share? Im looking forward to using the Freighter version when released and would be good to simulate loads & destinations used by the 200F version.

  14. Testflight of the B777 of SIMAIR at Mettmenstetten (near Zurich). It is a Flightdeck Solution Device. Software: SIM-AVIONICS One day before the grand opening Steve Cos (Special Project Manager FDS / F/O at this flight) and Klemens Klein (CEO FLIGHTSIMTECH GmbH) performed a testflight and a little type-training. Enjoy and regards. Fher.

  18. A little video from youtube. This video shows an Emirates B777 powering away after aborting a landing due to windsheer. Watch the B777 being tossed around like a ragdoll before the pilot decides that "enough is enough" and performs a go-around, landing successfully on the second attempt. Regards. Fher.

Ryan or someone from PMDG - could you confirm you've modelled the RNP/ANP to come on the PFD once the Flight Director(s) are turned on please. I know the NGX they only show on the PFD once LNAV & VNAV are active - so was curious as to which way it's modelled this time around. I'm assuming that's how it is in the real NG! Cheers, Luke

This is not a feature exclusive only to the Boeing 777, I believe. It is all about the FMC, and i want to know how to extend the localizer from the FMC to allow an earlier localizer capture!

I am at VHHH waiting to fly back to the states and I noticed some of the 777's were plugged into GPU'S and Ground Air but the APU's were on the intake was open on the right side of the tail and you could see exhaust gas coming out of the left side. My question is the position lights were off (cockpit empty) and the plane was empty. Why would the APU be running? I don't have an aviation background and was just curious if anyone knew the reason. P.S. VHHH is a great place to plane spot! Ash Keelson,
