I imagine a lot of us on AVSIM have bits of home cockpit hardware from the likes of CP, Opencockpits, Engravity etc (MCPs, FMCs, EFISs etc). I guess they are mostly for the 737s and 747s. How are you planning to fly the 777 around any existing hardware you use?

First of all, i nkow the limitiation of the FSX/SP2, the Animations on the NGX etc. time ago a freeware update of the default 737 came up on simflight http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?248622-Alejandro-Rojas-Lucena-has-done-it-again!! it got a Windshield Rain and a working Wiper. For me and i bet for others too is this fully enough. Only somthing happens on the windshield, and i have something to do... . So my question is if is this possible to put this on the future 777 and the NGX or on other AddOns? Will RAAS (Runway Awareness and Advisory System) be installed in PMDG 777? I would like it for situational awareness and I think it is not difficult or time-consuming to model this system. Some airlines installed it in their 777 as a option. Since we are flying without the help of F/O, situational awareness tools can be very useful. :(

Hi there Guys, Must say i dont post much, as i believe dont say anything if you cant back it up! I ask PMDG very nicely that please do not release the T7 in any guise if its not absolutely ready, jip i bought the oppositions (and no im not hammering them, done enough of that on their site)T7, and have been very dissapointed with their product, especially when it comes to systems. The frustration is endless, and being treated as mushrooms (fed cr@p and kept in the dark) has not helped them much either. I am waiting in total anticipation and i will be one of the first to swipe the credit card to get myself a copy. Good luck to you all, and thank you…

This question has been bugging me lately, why do airlines not use the 777-200LR? It can do everything the 200 and 200ER can, but better. It can hold the exact same amount of passengers, fly at the exact same cruise altitude and cruise speed, but it can fly up to 2000NM further, and take off up to 2000 feet faster. All I see are plusses to the LR, I can't see any reason why airlines wouldn't use it over the 200 or the 200ER. With the LR airlines can fly the same routes as the 200 and 200ER, but it burns less fuel, so that is basically just money savings and more economicaly friendly for the envoirnment. So can anyone explain why airlines dont use the LR very much?

Hi. Has it already been mentioned if the 777 is going to be using the Livey Manager that came with the NGX? If it is, I was wondering how it would work, would the 777 simply install to your existing Livery Manager that came with the NGX, as I believe that was PMDG idea that all future products would use it. If this is the case, I really do hope it works without any problems as my own opionion is the Livery Manager has caused more problems with downloading liveries when it was never a problem using the old way Tony

Just been advised Boeing have removed the clock from the B777's flight deck. It's been replaced with a clock and elapsed timer on the PFD - it automatically starts once TOGA is activated and stops once wheels touch the ground I believe. I'm sure you guys have/can get more of a complex description of it from your Boeing representatives. I did post a photo a few months back of a 777's flight deck without it, here it is again incase one or two of you missed it (no it's not copyrighted..): Would that be possible to model in FSX - or have you already? I know it's a small thing that not many will care about, just know how much you like to give on the customisation sid…

Hello. I'm pretty sure this hasn't been bought up before but with the pmdg 777 do you think we are gonna be able to set engine fires at desired points such as V1 VR V2. I have been doing emergency procedures today at LHR with the 747 but have only been able to guess when to set a fire meaning timing 1 minute ahead of VR. Do you think this would be a good feature for the 777?

I might order it just to dress the part when this new T7 is released. What do you think?

Hey guys, So I recently upgraded my old Pentium 4 gaming rig in favour of something a little more substantial. I've heard that FSX is really GPU-dependent so I splashed out on the following PC: - Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit) - 2 GTX Titans - Intel Celeron G1610 processor (ran out of money after the Titans) - 32GB RAM I know 32GB is a lot but I want to avoid the problem people have been getting with OOMs. My question is: Will my PC run the 777 smoothly??? Thanks in advance Louis

I know the 777 is a fly by wire aircraft but if the entire electrical system were to fail, the manual says there are mechanical linkages to enable the pilots to maintain straight and level until the electrical system can be restarted. My question is, if the only way to fly the aircraft was by the mechanical links due to some sort of catistrophic failure could one still land? I'm sure if anything it would be sloppy but at least make it safely?

Good day sir, I would like to ask if there will be CD installation of PmDG 777? I find it more reliable than direct download of the product. You can reinstall anytime with it. Another question: Will the cd be released worldwide (Especially in the Philippines)? Thanks in advance

Hello flyers, i was wondering since now i'm using Topcat for performance calculation and for what i know it isn't possible to do with the T7. so my question is very simple, how are we going to calculate the performance? i know in a real 777 they have the EFB to do so, but from what i understand it's not going to be included (in the first release at least). thanks for the helpers! cheerio

Greetings Robert and Ryan, With the (choose one) imminent/upcoming/approaching/soon to be release of the 777, is there any chance of having the liveries available for download a few days before the actual aircraft release? There will obvously be a mad rush on the website to get everything downloaded, and this might help space things out a bit. Many thanks.
