PMDG 777

  1. Started by EGLL77W,

I saw on the latest preview you've modelled the 777's Purple Mouse/Cursor, which is fantastic! Was just curious how will this exactly work, will the Cursor on the screen become active when we hover our mouse over the screen? Thanks! ^_^

As I was browsing through some T7 videos I noticed someone had made a taxi camera for the old PSS 777 and thought, if this person could model it then of course PMDG can as well.Do you think PMDG are going to model the outside camera on the -300ER? In my opinion it would be the cherry on top but not the most important thing to worry about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QnJVC8iy9E

  4. Hi, I need to interview an airline pilot for my AVID class... You can definitely remain anonymous throughout this interview, totally cool Also, if you do this, please know that I am super grateful and that if there are multiple answerers and I don't pick you, don't be offended, I'm going by what fits me the most. Here are the things that I really do need. Again, you can remain anonymous, and you can use an alias -Your credentials/qualifications -What education and training you got to get where you are/were (which in this case is an airline pilot) -What classes were especially helpful to you in secondary school (high school), college -Any advice you'd like to g…

I hope someone from pmdg may address this post. I copied from my post in another thread but I wanted pmdg to see it. Go to the thread in the main fsx forum here at avsim that talks about the new cyvr release from fsdt. It is a growing thread about memory usage with respect to their release and users using the NGX with it. The NGX is using like 800MB of memory which is a lot when the limit is 4GB for FSX. Especially when combined with other add ons like third party weather, clouds, scenery, texture addons like UTX/GEX, etc... Some users including Umberto with FSDT ran some solid memory tests. If we don't want more and more OOM errors going forward we all need t…

Hi Everyone, Since I started waiting for the PMDG T7, I kept on thinking when will it be released!!! Now I've seen that the manuals are already out, I'm pretty sure the T7 is close to release. But I got a question here, the pictures in the manuals are taken out directly from the PMDG products, so how much more time would it take for the initial release? Would it be before Mid-January?

I was following an interesting thread about the AoA announcement involving the upcoming T7 training. Unfortunately, it must have been lost during the great AVSIM Forum incident of January 2013. Personally, I enjoy the AoA training, but will wait a while on this one till there is actually something to buy. If I'm not mistaken, I recall Chris stating that the Groundwork for the T7 is almost done. How is that possible? Thoughts ??

  12. So I have the PMDG 737, and I can just barely fly it with 20 FPS on the ground, but in the air I get 30 FPS, and I was wondering what you guys think the system requirements will be compared to the NGX. I'm hopeing that the 777 wont be much more detailed than the NGX, because if it is I might not be able to run it. Also what do you guys think the FPS will be compared to NGX, better, worse, about the same etc?

In the PMDG 747-400X the FMC-calculated V speeds are not usually accurate. Software such as TOPCAT is therefore required to calculate accurate V speeds. These speeds may be entered without the FMC subsequently overriding them. The B777 manuals from SmartCockpit state: Does this mean that the FMC-calculated V speeds override any pilot or TOPCAT-calculated V speeds? If so, are the B777 calculated V speeds dependable and can thus be relied upon?

hi everyone is there any chance to have more realistic autopilot engegement in the 777 then the ngx? because when you switch the a/p mode from LNAV to heading sel mode or even in flight on route turns, the aircraft turns suddenly. it is like having an acne on madonnas face, looks soo bad EREK

Anyone familiar with the 777 will know that the aft cargo door has been offered since day one in two different sizes. SQ for example has chosen the smaller one for its -200ER and -300/300ER. UA have the large one. Virgin australia have the small on on the -300ER. and the list goes on. Large AFT door is however the preferred option for most carriers. The FWD cargo door only comes with the large door, so thats a non issue. Just want to confirm you guys are making this a customer option! Leo Calzoni
